  <dc:description>&lt;p&gt;The observation well program, begun in 1934 in cooperation with the Conservation and Survey Division, University of Nebraska, was continued during 1954. &amp;nbsp;The United States Geological Survey began a series of ground-water investigations in Nebraska during the fall of 1945, as part of the program for development of the Missouri River basin. &amp;nbsp;These investigations, during 1954, consisted principally of the collection and compilation of water-level data. &amp;nbsp;Most of the water-level measurements in this report were obtained and all were compiled as part of the Missouri River basin development program.&lt;/p&gt;</dc:description>
