<dc:description><p>The main purpose of this paper is to provide a graphical procedure with which to evaluate the orientation of an earthquake source using S-polarization angles. Background material is presented on the use of S-polarization angles, including the necessary material for the use of the catalog and the manner of its construction. A family of plots of theoretically predicted S-polarization angles is presented. There are 162 different diagrams in this catalog which may be used to determine the orientation of the focal planes of an earthquake to within about 5 degrees of the orientation of either plane.</p></dc:description>
