  <dc:description>The report presents all data on hardness, iron, nitrate and arsenic in well water in the Chena Ridge area of Fairbanks, Alaska, through June 1979. Concentrations range as follows: arsenic - 0 to 28 micrograms per liter; nitrate - 0 to 20 milligrams per liter; iron - 0 to 18 milligrams per liter and hardness - 72 to 1,400 milligrams per liter. Values at the upper ends of the ranges for iron and nitrate exceed limits recommended by the Environmental Protection Agency for public water supplies.
