Walter A. Anderson Cornelia Clermont Cameron 1980 <p>Fifty-six peat deposits in northern Penobscot, eastern Piscataquis, and eastern Aroostook Counties, Maine, were investigated for peat resources. The total yield is an estimated 35,196,000 short tons air-dried peat, predominantly sphagnum moss and reed-sedge types.
