  <dc:description>The water resources of the Albuquerque metropolitan area are under &#13;
increasing scrutiny by Federal and State regulators. Because of a lack &#13;
of available low-flow data for use in addressing potential water-quality &#13;
problems, a project was established to collect low-flow water-quality &#13;
and discharge data. The project was initiated under a current cooperative &#13;
program between the U.S. Geological Survey and the Albuquerque Metropolitan &#13;
Arroyo Flood Control Authority. This report summarizes hydrologic data for &#13;
that project collected between October 31, 1990, and September 3, 1994, at &#13;
three sites in the lined channel network in northeast Albuquerque. &#13;
     The data collection network consisted of three sampling sites on &#13;
Campus Wash, Embudo Arroyo, and the North Floodway Channel. The sites on &#13;
Campus Wash and the North Floodway Channel were established at existing &#13;
continuous-record streamflow-gaging stations; the Embudo Arroyo site was &#13;
established at the site of an abandoned streamflow-gaging station. Data &#13;
presented include site descriptions, instantaneous stream discharges &#13;
measured at the time of sampling, and the results of the chemical analyses &#13;
of the water-quality samples.</dc:description>
