Therefore, a significant State-wide realignment of the total water resources could not be made by industrial conservation measures. Nevertheless, considerable latitude for water conservation exists in industry -- fresh water consumed by self-supplied industry amounts to about 40 percent of its withdrawals in California, and only about 10 to 15 percent nationally (not including power-plant use). Furthermore, where firms withdraw and consume less water there is more for others nearby to use. The main question in attempting to estimate self-supplied industrial water use in California by indirect methods was whether accurate estimates of industrial water use could be made from data on surrogates such as production and employment. The answer is apparently not. A fundamental problem was that different data bases produced variable coefficients of water use for similar industries. Much of the potential for error appeared to lie in the water data bases rather than the production or employment data. The apparent reasons are that water-use data are based on responses to questionnaires, which are prone to errors in reporting, and because the data may be aggregated inappropriately for this kind of correlation. Industries within an apparently similar category commonly use different amounts of water, both because of differences in the product and because of differences in production processes even where the end-product is similar. Some irrigation water used in this area obtained from surface sources, but a significant amount is obtained from wells. The principal aquifer in the area is the Columbia River Basalt Group. Wells in the basalt are commonly drilled to depths of 500 to 1,200 ft and many produce more than 1,000 gal/min. A cooperative ground-water modeling study by the U.S. Geological Survey and Oregon Water Resources Department has resulted in the compilation of data from drillers logs and well inspections for wells completed in the basalt aquifer. Water-level measurements have been made in some wells in the area since the 1950's. The wells with longest periods of record are those that are part of a Statewide network of observation wells measured by the U. S. Geological Survey and Oregon Water Resources Department. The reservoirs studies were Ralston, Cheesman, Antero, Williams Fork, Elevenmile Canyon, Dillon, and Gross. Energy-budget and mass-transfer methods were used to determine evaporation. Class-A pan data also were collected at each reservoir. The energy-budget method was the most accurate of the methods used to determine evaporation. At Ralston, Cheesman, Antero, and Williams Fork Reservoirs the energy-budget method was used to calibrate the mass-transfer coefficients. Calibrated coefficients already were available for Elevenmile Canyon, Dillon, and Gross Reservoirs. Using the calibrated coefficients, long-term mass-transfer evaporation rates were determined. Annual evaporation values were not determined because the instrumentation was not operated for the entire open-water season. Class-A pan data were used to determine pan coefficients for each season at each reservoir. The coefficients varied from season to season and between reservoirs, and the seasonal values ranged from 0.29 to 1.05. A 5-foot well screen is at the bottom of each piezometer. Each screened interval has a cement plug above and below it to isolate it from other parts of the aquifer , and the well bore is filled between the plugs with sediment. Nine cores and 49 sidewall cores were recovered. Laboratory tests were made for mineralogy, hydraulic conductivity, porosity , consolidation, grain-size distribution, Atterberg limits, X-ray diffraction, and chemical quality of water. Geophysical and thermal gradient logs were made. The hole is sampled periodically for chemical analysis and measured for water level in the three tapped zones. An area of about 150 m x 150 m contains quartz-molybdenite veins; a larger area is characterized by barren quartz veins. Quartz-molybdenite veins are concentrated within the most felsic variants of the intrusion as suggested by lower mafic mineral contents. The pluton has a narrow range in SiO2 (67-70 wt.%), major oxides, and in trace-element compositions.\r\n\r\nMolybdenite occurs as coarse grained clusters in pockets within the quartz veins, and fills fractures in the quartz veins and host rocks. Disseminated molybdenite in the granodiorite is relatively rare and occurs only in the area characterized by a high density of quartz veins (up to 50 veins per square meter). Alteration envelopes along the quartz veins are very thin or absent, although in some areas the granodiorite appears to be selectively and pervasively altered. Sericite, chlorite, epidote, calcite, pyrite, and quartz are concentrated near the quartz-molybdenite veins. \r\n\r\nMany of the field and geochemical characteristics of the Priestly Lake pluton are unlike those of major molybdenum-producing areas (Climax, Henderson, Urad). For example, the area of alteration seems to be of limited extent, the host rock is not intensely altered hydrothermally at the surface, the density of fractures is rather low in the mineralized area, and the amount of disseminated molybdenite appears to be small. However, the Priestly Lake pluton may be a small fraction of a concealed batholith as suggested by geophysical data. It is conceivable that the type of mineralization at the surface might be the expression of more extensive molybdenite mineralization at depth. \r\n\r\nThe quartz-molybdenite veins in the Priestly Lake pluton are significant because they indicate that potential molybdenum sources for producing mineralized granites were available at depth. Future studies should be aimed at delineating the area of quartz-molybdenite mineralization, documenting hydrothermal alteration and zonation, determining fracture density, and evaluating the sulfide assemblage.","language":"English","publisher":"U.S. Geological Survey","doi":"10.3133/ofr83800","usgsCitation":"Ayuso, R.A., and Shank, S.G., 1983, Quartz-molybdenite veins in the Priestly Lake granodiorite, north-central Maine: U.S. Geological Survey Open-File Report 83-800, i, 12 p., https://doi.org/10.3133/ofr83800.","productDescription":"i, 12 p.","costCenters":[{"id":245,"text":"Eastern Mineral and Environmental Resources Science Center","active":true,"usgs":true}],"links":[{"id":141446,"rank":0,"type":{"id":24,"text":"Thumbnail"},"url":"https://pubs.usgs.gov/of/1983/0800/report-thumb.jpg"},{"id":35243,"rank":300,"type":{"id":11,"text":"Document"},"url":"https://pubs.usgs.gov/of/1983/0800/report.pdf","linkFileType":{"id":1,"text":"pdf"}}],"noUsgsAuthors":false,"publicationStatus":"PW","scienceBaseUri":"4f4e4adbe4b07f02db685c50","contributors":{"authors":[{"text":"Ayuso, Robert A. 0000-0002-8496-9534 rayuso@usgs.gov","orcid":"https://orcid.org/0000-0002-8496-9534","contributorId":2654,"corporation":false,"usgs":true,"family":"Ayuso","given":"Robert","email":"rayuso@usgs.gov","middleInitial":"A.","affiliations":[{"id":245,"text":"Eastern Mineral and Environmental Resources Science Center","active":true,"usgs":true},{"id":387,"text":"Mineral Resources Program","active":true,"usgs":true}],"preferred":true,"id":156568,"contributorType":{"id":1,"text":"Authors"},"rank":1},{"text":"Shank, Stephen G.","contributorId":89892,"corporation":false,"usgs":true,"family":"Shank","given":"Stephen","email":"","middleInitial":"G.","affiliations":[],"preferred":false,"id":156569,"contributorType":{"id":1,"text":"Authors"},"rank":2}]}}

The California State Water Resources Control Board has ruled that the plant will not be allowed to release effluent into the Sacramento River when flow in the river is 4,000 cubic feet per second or less. Depending on tide condition, flows less than 4,000 cubic feet per second may occur either once or twice during each 24-hour 50-minute tide cycle when the daily mean flow is less than about 12,000 cubic feet per second. Daily means flows less than 12,000 cubic feet per second occur about 28% of the time. Riverflow at the plant outfall is monitored by an acoustic streamflow-measuring system. Regulation of effluent released from the plant will normally be based on real-time flow data computed by the acoustic system. A graphical method for determining the occurrence and duration of flows of 4,000 cubic feet per second and less was developed as a backup system to be used if a temporary failure in the acoustic system occurs. Water-quality data were collected from March 1977 through September 1978 at six lake stations and four lake tributary stations. Data collected during and after the drought were compared. Lake water quality is described as a function of lake morphometry, climate, hydrology, and reservoir hydraulics. Results indicate Shasta Lake is a warm monomictic lake. Tributary inflow to the lake and outflow through the dam generate density currents which promote mixing at depth and the development of an extensive metalimnion. During the drought, record low lake levels resulted in the exposure of an extensive nearshore sediment zone. Resuspended sediments caused a deterioration of water quality. The most notable effects, in comparison with post-drought conditions, were decreased light penetration, increased dissolved-solids concentration and specific conductance, decreased dissolved-oxygen concentrations, and elevated nutrient levels. A hypolimnetic anoxic condition was observed at the upstream stations of the lake. Streamflow and water-quality data were collected before and during two storms. The pH and concentrations of organic nitrogen, ammonium, nitrate plus nitrate, ultimate carbonaceous biochemical oxygen demand, dissolved oxygen, and orthophosphate were determined. Streamflow and concentrations of dissolved oxygen were measured continuously at three stations from May through September 1980. Discharge from the point source resulted in average daily concentrations of dissolved oxygen less than 5 milligrams per liter in the Reedy River on 34 days during low streamflow in the summer of 1980. In response to this need, a sampling approach was developed to estimate water pumped for irrigation on the High Plains during 1980. Pumpage was computed by combining application estimates with mapped irrigated-acreage information. Irrigation application (inches of water applied) was measured at 480 sites in 15 counties in the High Plains during the 1980 growing season. The relationship between calculated Blaney-Criddle irrigation demand and measured application was used to estimate application for unsampled areas of the High Plains. Application estimates multiplied by irrigated-acreate estimates, compiled from Landsat-satellite imagery, yielded the volume of ground water pumped for irrigation. The estimate of ground water pumped for irrigation in the High Plains during 1980 and 18,902,000 acre-feet for 13 ,715,000 irrigated areas. The sampled application data were evaluated for significant trends. The application was greater for crops requiring more water such as corn and hay and less for crops such as sorghum, grain, and cotton. The data showed greater application for flood-irrigated systems than for sprinkler-irrigation systems. Areas of the High Plains with thin saturated thickness tended to have a smaller average discharge per well, fewer irrigated acres per well, and a predominance of crops requiring less water crops. Mineralization occurs associated with early and late Tertiary magmatic centers emplaced through a thick section of Mesozoic continental margin clastic sedimentary rocks. The systems are of the molybdenum-rich as opposed to gold-rich type and have anomalous tungsten, bismuth, and tin, attributes of continental-margin deposits, yet gravity data suggest that at least part of the study area is underlain by oceanic or transitional crust. \r\n\r\nPotassium-argon age determinations indicate a variable time span of up to 2 million years between emplacement and mineralization in a sulfide system with mineralization usually followed by postmineral intrusive events. Finally, mineralization in the study area occurred at many times during the time span of igneous activity and should be an expected stage in the history of a subduction related magmatic center.","language":"English","publisher":"U.S. Geological Survey","doi":"10.3133/ofr83783","usgsCitation":"Wilson, F.H., and Cox, D.P., 1983, Geochronology, geochemistry, and tectonic environment of porphyry mineralization in the central Alaska Peninsula: U.S. Geological Survey Open-File Report 83-783, 25 p., https://doi.org/10.3133/ofr83783.","productDescription":"25 p.","costCenters":[{"id":114,"text":"Alaska Science Center","active":true,"usgs":true}],"links":[{"id":145719,"rank":1,"type":{"id":24,"text":"Thumbnail"},"url":"https://pubs.usgs.gov/of/1983/0783/report-thumb.jpg"},{"id":39560,"rank":2,"type":{"id":11,"text":"Document"},"url":"https://pubs.usgs.gov/of/1983/0783/report.pdf","linkFileType":{"id":1,"text":"pdf"}}],"noUsgsAuthors":false,"publicationStatus":"PW","scienceBaseUri":"4f4e4b1de4b07f02db6a9c72","contributors":{"authors":[{"text":"Wilson, Frederic H. 0000-0003-1761-6437 fwilson@usgs.gov","orcid":"https://orcid.org/0000-0003-1761-6437","contributorId":67174,"corporation":false,"usgs":true,"family":"Wilson","given":"Frederic","email":"fwilson@usgs.gov","middleInitial":"H.","affiliations":[{"id":119,"text":"Alaska Science Center Geology Minerals","active":true,"usgs":true},{"id":114,"text":"Alaska Science Center","active":true,"usgs":true}],"preferred":true,"id":163572,"contributorType":{"id":1,"text":"Authors"},"rank":1},{"text":"Cox, Dennis P. dcox@usgs.gov","contributorId":2766,"corporation":false,"usgs":true,"family":"Cox","given":"Dennis","email":"dcox@usgs.gov","middleInitial":"P.","affiliations":[],"preferred":true,"id":163573,"contributorType":{"id":1,"text":"Authors"},"rank":2}]}}

The data were statistically summarized and regression equations were developed to define relationships between water-quality variables. Where applicable, measured water-quality conditions were compared to various water-use standards. Measured concentrations of dissolved solids ranged from 145 to 12,200 milligrams per liter. Concentrations commonly exceeded 1,000 milligrams per liter and thereby present a high to very high salinity hazard for irrigation. Streamflow of the area contains predominantly sodium and sulfate ions and generally constitutes a medium to very high sodium hazard for irrigation during base flow. The water in most streams is generally adequate for livestock consumption during base flow. Concentrations of suspended sediment were extremely variable and had a direct correlation to water discharge. Measured suspended-sediment concentrations ranged from 4 to 23 ,000 milligrams per liter. Sediment-transport curves were developed for 18 of the study sites. Mean annual suspended-sediment loads were determined at five sites using the flow-duration, sediment-transport curve method. Commencing in 1967 and continuing to date (1982), extensive measurements of shear- and compressional-wave velocities have been made in five tunnel complexes in Rainier and Aqueduct Mesas and in one tunnel complex in Shoshone Mountain. The results of these surveys to 1980 are compiled in this report. In addition, extensive horizontal drilling was initiated in 1967 in connection with geologic exploration in these tunnel complexes for sites for nuclear weapons tests. Seismic and electrical surveys were conducted in the majority of these holes. The type and location of these tunnel and borehole surveys are indexed in this report. Synthesis of the seismic refraction data indicates a mean compressional-wave velocity near the nuclear device point (WP) of 23 tunnel events of 2,430 m/s (7,970 f/s) with a range of 1,846-2,753 m/s (6,060-9,030 f/s). The mean shear-wave velocity of 17 tunnel events is 1,276 m/s (4,190 f/s) with a range of 1,140-1,392 m/s (3,740-4,570 f/s). Experience indicates that these velocity variations are due chiefly to the extent of fracturing and (or) the presence of partially saturated rock in the region of the survey.</p>","language":"English","publisher":"U.S. Geological Survey","doi":"10.3133/ofr83399","usgsCitation":"Carroll, R.D., and Kibler, J.E., 1983, Sourcebook of locations of geophysical surveys in tunnels and horizontal holes including results of seismic-refraction surveys, Rainier Mesa, Aqueduct Mesa, and Area 16, Nevada Test Site: U.S. Geological Survey Open-File Report 83-399, Report: iv, 85 p.; 12 Plates: 24.94 × 9.99 inches or smaller, https://doi.org/10.3133/ofr83399.","productDescription":"Report: iv, 85 p.; 12 Plates: 24.94 × 9.99 inches or smaller","costCenters":[],"links":[{"id":141557,"rank":0,"type":{"id":24,"text":"Thumbnail"},"url":"https://pubs.usgs.gov/of/1983/0399/report-thumb.jpg"},{"id":35830,"rank":400,"type":{"id":17,"text":"Plate"},"url":"https://pubs.usgs.gov/of/1983/0399/plate-01.pdf","linkFileType":{"id":1,"text":"pdf"}},{"id":35831,"rank":401,"type":{"id":17,"text":"Plate"},"url":"https://pubs.usgs.gov/of/1983/0399/plate-02.pdf","linkFileType":{"id":1,"text":"pdf"}},{"id":35832,"rank":402,"type":{"id":17,"text":"Plate"},"url":"https://pubs.usgs.gov/of/1983/0399/plate-03.pdf","linkFileType":{"id":1,"text":"pdf"}},{"id":35833,"rank":403,"type":{"id":17,"text":"Plate"},"url":"https://pubs.usgs.gov/of/1983/0399/plate-04.pdf","linkFileType":{"id":1,"text":"pdf"}},{"id":35834,"rank":404,"type":{"id":17,"text":"Plate"},"url":"https://pubs.usgs.gov/of/1983/0399/plate-05.pdf","linkFileType":{"id":1,"text":"pdf"}},{"id":35835,"rank":405,"type":{"id":17,"text":"Plate"},"url":"https://pubs.usgs.gov/of/1983/0399/plate-06.pdf","linkFileType":{"id":1,"text":"pdf"}},{"id":35836,"rank":406,"type":{"id":17,"text":"Plate"},"url":"https://pubs.usgs.gov/of/1983/0399/plate-07.pdf","linkFileType":{"id":1,"text":"pdf"}},{"id":35837,"rank":407,"type":{"id":17,"text":"Plate"},"url":"https://pubs.usgs.gov/of/1983/0399/plate-08.pdf","linkFileType":{"id":1,"text":"pdf"}},{"id":35838,"rank":408,"type":{"id":17,"text":"Plate"},"url":"https://pubs.usgs.gov/of/1983/0399/plate-09.pdf","linkFileType":{"id":1,"text":"pdf"}},{"id":35839,"rank":409,"type":{"id":17,"text":"Plate"},"url":"https://pubs.usgs.gov/of/1983/0399/plate-10.pdf","linkFileType":{"id":1,"text":"pdf"}},{"id":35842,"rank":300,"type":{"id":11,"text":"Document"},"url":"https://pubs.usgs.gov/of/1983/0399/report.pdf","linkFileType":{"id":1,"text":"pdf"}},{"id":392065,"rank":16,"type":{"id":36,"text":"NGMDB Index Page"},"url":"https://ngmdb.usgs.gov/Prodesc/proddesc_14011.htm"},{"id":35840,"rank":410,"type":{"id":17,"text":"Plate"},"url":"https://pubs.usgs.gov/of/1983/0399/plate-11.pdf","linkFileType":{"id":1,"text":"pdf"}},{"id":35841,"rank":411,"type":{"id":17,"text":"Plate"},"url":"https://pubs.usgs.gov/of/1983/0399/plate-12.pdf","linkFileType":{"id":1,"text":"pdf"}}],"country":"United States","state":"Nevada","otherGeospatial":"Aqueduct Mesa, Area 16, Nevada Test Site, Rainier Mesa","geographicExtents":"{\n  \"type\": \"FeatureCollection\",\n  \"features\": [\n    {\n      \"type\": \"Feature\",\n      \"properties\": {},\n      \"geometry\": {\n        \"type\": \"Polygon\",\n        \"coordinates\": [\n          [\n            [\n              -116.25,\n              37\n            ],\n            [\n              -116,\n              37\n            ],\n            [\n              -116,\n              37.25\n            ],\n            [\n              -116.25,\n              37.25\n            ],\n            [\n              -116.25,\n              37\n            ]\n          ]\n        ]\n      }\n    }\n  ]\n}","noUsgsAuthors":false,"publicationStatus":"PW","scienceBaseUri":"4f4e49e6e4b07f02db5e76e6","contributors":{"authors":[{"text":"Carroll, R. Using a mass-balance model, the author calculated P loadings from present-day P concentrations measured in lake water and from other easily measured physical characteristics in a total of 28 lakes in drainage basins that contain only forest and residential land. The loadings from background sources (forest-land drainage and bulk precipitation) to each of the lakes were estimated by methods developed in a previous study. Differences between estimated present-day P loadings and loadings from background sources were attributed to changes in land use. The mean increase in annual P yield resulting from conversion of forest to residential land use was 7 kilograms per square kilometer, not including septic tank system contributions. Calculated loadings from septic systems were found to correlate best with the number of near-shore dwellings around each lake in 1940. The regression equation expressing this relationship explained 36 percent of the sample variance. There was no significant correlation between estimated septic tank system P loadings and number of dwellings present in 1960 or 1970. The evidence indicates that older systems might contribute more phosphorus to lakes than newer systems, and that there may be substantial time lags between septic system installation and significant impacts on lake-water P concentrations. For lakes in basins that contain agricultural land, the P loading attributable to agriculture can be calculated as the difference between the estimated total loading and the sum of estimated loadings from nonagricultural sources. A comprehensive system for evaluating errors in all loading estimates is presented. The empirical relationships developed allow preliminary approximations of the cumulative impact development has had on P loading and the amounts of P loading from generalized land-use categories for Puget Sound lowland lakes. In addition, the sensitivity of a lake to increased loading can be evaluated using the mass-balance model. The data required are presently available for most lakes. Estimates of P loading are useful in developing water-quality goals, setting priorities for lake studies, and designing studies of individual lakes. The suitability of a method for management of individual lakes will often be limited by relatively high levels of uncertainty, especially if the method is used to evaluate relatively small increases in P loading.","language":"ENGLISH","publisher":"U.S. G.P.O.,","doi":"10.3133/wsp2240","usgsCitation":"Gilliom, R.J., 1983, Estimation of nonpoint source loadings of phosphorus for lakes in the Puget Sound region, Washington: U.S. Geological Survey Water Supply Paper 2240, iv, 24 p. :ill., 1 map ;28 cm., https://doi.org/10.3133/wsp2240.","productDescription":"iv, 24 p. :ill., 1 map ;28 cm.","costCenters":[],"links":[{"id":138235,"rank":0,"type":{"id":24,"text":"Thumbnail"},"url":"https://pubs.usgs.gov/wsp/2240/report-thumb.jpg"},{"id":26749,"rank":300,"type":{"id":11,"text":"Document"},"url":"https://pubs.usgs.gov/wsp/2240/report.pdf","linkFileType":{"id":1,"text":"pdf"}}],"noUsgsAuthors":false,"publicationStatus":"PW","scienceBaseUri":"4f4e4a0ae4b07f02db5fb25d","contributors":{"authors":[{"text":"Gilliom, Robert J. rgilliom@usgs.gov","contributorId":488,"corporation":false,"usgs":true,"family":"Gilliom","given":"Robert","email":"rgilliom@usgs.gov","middleInitial":"J.","affiliations":[{"id":451,"text":"National Water Quality Assessment Program","active":true,"usgs":true}],"preferred":true,"id":143954,"contributorType":{"id":1,"text":"Authors"},"rank":1}]}}

The general objectives of the project of which this work is a part are to provide an understanding of the nature, location, and extent of the engineering geology and environmental geology concerns in areas of potential coal development in the Cook Inlet region, Alaska. The lithologic, geotechnical, and geophysical data presented in this report include some of the data needed to evaluate geologic hazards, and to predict the response of geologic materials to large-scale coal mining and related development in the Chuitna West coal field of the Beluga coal resource area. Specifically, the information may be used in evaluation of natural- and cut-slope stability, spoil-pile stability, ground response to seismic activity, blasting effects, excavatability, ground-water conditions, and erosion potential.</p><p>The drill site (fig. 1, point C), located on the edge of a small, gently sloping basin draining northwestward into the Chuitna River, is approximately 90 km, (55 mi) west of Anchorage, Alaska, and 29 km (18 mi) northwest of Tyonek, a native village on the northwest side of Cook Inlet.</p><p><br data-mce-bogus=\"1\"></p>","language":"English","publisher":"U.S. Geological Survey","doi":"10.3133/ofr8378","collaboration":"Prepared in cooperation with the Alaska Department of Natural Resources, Division of Geologic and Geophysical Surveys","usgsCitation":"Odum, J.K., Gardner, C.A., Yehle, L.A., Schmoll, H.R., and Dearborn, L.L., 1983, Preliminary lithologic, geotechnical, and geophysical data from drill hole CW-81-2, Chuitna West coal field, Cook Inlet region, Alaska: U.S. Geological Survey Open-File Report 83-78, Report: i, 12 p.; 2 Plates: 30.24 x 39.02 inches and 36.21 x 40.69 inches, https://doi.org/10.3133/ofr8378.","productDescription":"Report: i, 12 p.; 2 Plates: 30.24 x 39.02 inches and 36.21 x 40.69 inches","costCenters":[],"links":[{"id":140393,"rank":1,"type":{"id":24,"text":"Thumbnail"},"url":"https://pubs.usgs.gov/of/1983/0078/report-thumb.jpg"},{"id":423537,"rank":2,"type":{"id":11,"text":"Document"},"url":"https://pubs.usgs.gov/of/1983/0078/report.pdf","linkFileType":{"id":1,"text":"pdf"}},{"id":423539,"rank":4,"type":{"id":17,"text":"Plate"},"url":"https://pubs.usgs.gov/of/1983/0078/plate-1.pdf","linkFileType":{"id":1,"text":"pdf"}},{"id":423538,"rank":3,"type":{"id":17,"text":"Plate"},"url":"https://pubs.usgs.gov/of/1983/0078/plate-2.pdf","linkFileType":{"id":1,"text":"pdf"}}],"country":"United States","state":"Alaska","otherGeospatial":"Chuitna West coal field, Cook Inlet region","geographicExtents":"{\n  \"type\": \"FeatureCollection\",\n  \"features\": [\n    {\n      \"type\": \"Feature\",\n      \"properties\": {},\n      \"geometry\": {\n        \"coordinates\": [\n          [\n            [\n              -151.3828454578649,\n              61.317547693189226\n            ],\n            [\n              -151.3828454578649,\n              61.018207595684004\n            ],\n            [\n              -150.07272582895874,\n              61.018207595684004\n            ],\n            [\n              -150.07272582895874,\n              61.317547693189226\n            ],\n            [\n              -151.3828454578649,\n              61.317547693189226\n            ]\n          ]\n        ],\n        \"type\": \"Polygon\"\n      }\n    }\n  ]\n}","noUsgsAuthors":false,"publicationStatus":"PW","scienceBaseUri":"4f4e4ab0e4b07f02db66d932","contributors":{"authors":[{"text":"Odum, Jack K. 0000-0002-3162-0355","orcid":"https://orcid.org/0000-0002-3162-0355","contributorId":97900,"corporation":false,"usgs":true,"family":"Odum","given":"Jack","email":"","middleInitial":"K.","affiliations":[],"preferred":false,"id":155628,"contributorType":{"id":1,"text":"Authors"},"rank":1},{"text":"Gardner, Cynthia A. 0000-0002-6214-6182 cgardner@usgs.gov","orcid":"https://orcid.org/0000-0002-6214-6182","contributorId":1959,"corporation":false,"usgs":true,"family":"Gardner","given":"Cynthia","email":"cgardner@usgs.gov","middleInitial":"A.","affiliations":[{"id":114,"text":"Alaska Science Center","active":true,"usgs":true},{"id":617,"text":"Volcano Science Center","active":true,"usgs":true}],"preferred":true,"id":155627,"contributorType":{"id":1,"text":"Authors"},"rank":2},{"text":"Yehle, Lynn A. yehle@usgs.gov","contributorId":3794,"corporation":false,"usgs":true,"family":"Yehle","given":"Lynn","email":"yehle@usgs.gov","middleInitial":"A.","affiliations":[],"preferred":true,"id":155624,"contributorType":{"id":1,"text":"Authors"},"rank":3},{"text":"Schmoll, Henry R. schmoll@usgs.gov","contributorId":3793,"corporation":false,"usgs":true,"family":"Schmoll","given":"Henry","email":"schmoll@usgs.gov","middleInitial":"R.","affiliations":[],"preferred":true,"id":155626,"contributorType":{"id":1,"text":"Authors"},"rank":4},{"text":"Dearborn, Larry L.","contributorId":66687,"corporation":false,"usgs":true,"family":"Dearborn","given":"Larry","email":"","middleInitial":"L.","affiliations":[],"preferred":false,"id":155625,"contributorType":{"id":1,"text":"Authors"},"rank":5}]}}
