This report summarizes the geology and petroleum potential of the area. \r\n\r\nThe Baltimore Canyon Trough is an elongate, seaward-opening sedimentary basin filled by as much as 14 km of Mesozoic and Cenozoic sedimentary rocks. The basin first formed under the New Jersey shelf and gradually spread west and south as the area subsided after the rifting that formed the Atlantic basin. \r\n\r\nRocks of the Triassic and Jurassic Systems together are more than 8 km thick in a depocenter areally restricted to the northern part of the trough. Basal Jurassic rocks are apparently nonmarine sedimentary rocks bedded with evaporite deposits. Direct evidence that some salt is in the basal Jurassic section comes from the Houston Oil and Minerals 676-1 well, which penetrated salt at a depth of about 3.8 km. \r\n\r\nDuring the Middle and Late Jurassic, more open marine conditions prevailed than in the Early Jurassic, and carbonate banks and reefs formed discontinuously along the seaward side of the shelf. Sand flats likely occupied the central part of the shelf, and these probably graded shoreward into nonmarine red beds that accumulated in a bordering coastal plain. Thick nonmarine sands and silty shales of Late Jurassic age were deposited in what is now the nearshore and midshelf area. These sedimentary rocks probably grade into thick marine carbonate rocks near the present shelf edge. \r\n\r\nDuring the Cretaceous, less sediment accumulated (about 4 km) than during the Jurassic, and most was deposited during Early Cretaceous time. The Cretaceous units show two main trends through time-a diminishing rate of sediment accumulation and an increase in marine character of sediments. During the Middle and Late Cretaceous, calcareous sand and mud filled the basin, buried the shelf-edge reefs and later spilled across the reefs into the oceanic basin as worldwide sea level reached a maximum. \r\n\r\nCenozoic deposits are spread over the present shelf and adjacent Coastal Plain in overlapping sheets of marine and nonmarine sediment. The maximum thickness (1.5 km) is along the outer part of the present shelf. Major tectonic deformation in the Baltimore Canyon Trough area appears to have terminated near the end of the Early Cretaceous, when at least one large mafic intrusion (Great Stone dome) was emplaced. Upper Cretaceous sedimentary rocks are arched above older uplifted fault blocks near the shelf edge; this arching may be the result of draping due to differential compaction or, perhaps, minor movement of the fault blocks during Late Cretaceous time. \r\n\r\nThe dominance of terrestrial over marine-derived organic matter in sediment samples from the COST No. B-2 well indicates that economic amounts of liquid petroleum hydrocarbons were probably not generated in the area but suggests a high potential for generation of wet or dry gas. Supporting evidence for the presence of natural-gas deposits on the slope comes from AMCOR 6021, the upper 305 m of which penetrated sediments that contained methane, ethane, and propane. Texaco, Inc., has announced that its 598-1 well yielded nearly 479,000 m s of natural gas per day from two zones during early testing. Further indication of possible gas deposits comes from analyzing the amplitude (bright spots) of seismic data. \r\n\r\nGeochemical studies of the COST No. B-2 well have shown that the shelf area of the Baltimore Canyon Trough has a relatively low geothermal gradient today and that it apparently has had a gradient as low or even lower throughout the Cretaceous to Holocene. A controversy exists concerning the maturity of the basal sediments penetrated by the COST No. B-2 well. Although significant amounts of gaseous hydrocarbons may have been generated, large amounts of liquid petroleum hydrocarbons probably hav","language":"ENGLISH","publisher":"U.S. Geological Survey,","doi":"10.3133/cir812","usgsCitation":"Mattick, R.E., and Hennessy, J.L., 1980, Structural framework, stratigraphy, and petroleum geology of the area of oil and gas lease Sale No. 49 on the U.S. Atlantic continental shelf and slope: U.S. Geological Survey Circular 812, v, 101 p. :ill., maps ;27 cm., https://doi.org/10.3133/cir812.","productDescription":"v, 101 p. :ill., maps ;27 cm.","costCenters":[],"links":[{"id":117502,"rank":0,"type":{"id":24,"text":"Thumbnail"},"url":"https://pubs.usgs.gov/circ/1980/0812/report-thumb.jpg"},{"id":31512,"rank":300,"type":{"id":11,"text":"Document"},"url":"https://pubs.usgs.gov/circ/1980/0812/report.pdf","linkFileType":{"id":1,"text":"pdf"}}],"noUsgsAuthors":false,"publicationStatus":"PW","scienceBaseUri":"4f4e4b15e4b07f02db6a49e5","contributors":{"authors":[{"text":"Mattick, Robert E.","contributorId":44130,"corporation":false,"usgs":true,"family":"Mattick","given":"Robert","email":"","middleInitial":"E.","affiliations":[],"preferred":false,"id":149045,"contributorType":{"id":1,"text":"Authors"},"rank":1},{"text":"Hennessy, Jacqueline L.","contributorId":24334,"corporation":false,"usgs":true,"family":"Hennessy","given":"Jacqueline","email":"","middleInitial":"L.","affiliations":[],"preferred":false,"id":149044,"contributorType":{"id":1,"text":"Authors"},"rank":2}]}}

However, by the standard methods used-batch processing and off-line plotting-the production of a finished map commonly takes 2-3 weeks. \r\n\r\nTo produce computer-generated maps more rapidly, cheaply, and easily, and also to provide an effective demonstration tool, we have devised two related methods for plotting maps as alternatives to conventional batch methods. These methods are: 1. Quick-Plot, an interactive program whose output appears on a CRT (cathode-ray-tube) device, and 2. The Interactive CAM (Cartographic Automatic Mapping system), which combines batch and interactive runs. The output of the Interactive CAM system is final compilation (not camera-ready) paper copy. Both methods are designed to use data from the CRIB file in conjunction with a map-plotting program. \r\n\r\nQuick-Plot retrieves a user-selected subset of data from the CRIB file, immediately produces an image of the desired area on a CRT device, and plots data points according to a limited set of user-selected symbols. This method is useful for immediate evaluation of the map and for demonstrating how trial maps can be made quickly. \r\n\r\nThe Interactive CAM system links the output of an interactive CRIB retrieval to a modified version of the CAM program, which runs in the batch mode and stores plotting instructions on a disk, rather than on a tape. The disk can be accessed by a CRT, and, thus, the user can view and evaluate the map output on a CRT immediately after a batch run, without waiting 1-3 days for an off-line plot. The user can, therefore, do most of the layout and design work in a relatively short time by use of the CRT, before generating a plot tape and having the map plotted on an off-line plotter.","language":"ENGLISH","publisher":"Branch of Distribution, U.S. Geological Survey,","doi":"10.3133/cir815","usgsCitation":"Calkins, J.A., Crosby, A., Huffman, T., Clark, A.L., Mason, G., and Bascle, R., 1980, Interactive computer methods for generating mineral-resource maps: U.S. Geological Survey Circular 815, iv, 70 p. :ill., maps ;26 cm., https://doi.org/10.3133/cir815.","productDescription":"iv, 70 p. :ill., maps ;26 cm.","costCenters":[],"links":[{"id":124368,"rank":0,"type":{"id":24,"text":"Thumbnail"},"url":"https://pubs.usgs.gov/circ/1980/0815/report-thumb.jpg"},{"id":31443,"rank":300,"type":{"id":11,"text":"Document"},"url":"https://pubs.usgs.gov/circ/1980/0815/report.pdf","linkFileType":{"id":1,"text":"pdf"}}],"noUsgsAuthors":false,"publicationStatus":"PW","scienceBaseUri":"4f4e49dbe4b07f02db5e0ca9","contributors":{"authors":[{"text":"Calkins, James Alfred","contributorId":75504,"corporation":false,"usgs":true,"family":"Calkins","given":"James","email":"","middleInitial":"Alfred","affiliations":[],"preferred":false,"id":148851,"contributorType":{"id":1,"text":"Authors"},"rank":1},{"text":"Crosby, A.S.","contributorId":77127,"corporation":false,"usgs":true,"family":"Crosby","given":"A.S.","email":"","affiliations":[],"preferred":false,"id":148852,"contributorType":{"id":1,"text":"Authors"},"rank":2},{"text":"Huffman, T.E.","contributorId":15593,"corporation":false,"usgs":true,"family":"Huffman","given":"T.E.","email":"","affiliations":[],"preferred":false,"id":148849,"contributorType":{"id":1,"text":"Authors"},"rank":3},{"text":"Clark, A. In Upper Klamath Lake, average accumulation rates range from 0.9 mm/yr at a site in Howard Bay to 12.5 mm/yr at a location near the input from Agency Lake. Divers collected cores, approximately 50 cm long, from eight locations in Upper Klamath Lake and from one location in Lake Euwana; coring sites were chosen to represent a variety of sedimentary environments. Plots of excess 210Pb activity versus depth show that a sediment-mixing layer, ranging from 5 to 20 cm in thickness, is below the sediment-water interface at all coring locations; the mixing is due to biological activity, wave and current action, and gas generation. Two cores show changes in accumulation rates during the past 100-150 years that are probably related to changes in land use. X-radiographs indicate the presence of pumice layers and allow assessment of biological activity; these two kinds of information are important to the interpretation of 210Pb activity data. Trace-metal contents were determined to establish baseline information. The eight cores from Upper Klamath Lake contain much lower concentrations of all metals measured (Cd, Cu, Cr, Fe, Pb, Mn, and Zn) than are found in other lacustrine environments. The core taken from Lake Euwana contained higher concentrations of metals than the cores collected from Upper Klamath Lake.

This study was initiated in response to a concern that possible rapid accumulation of sediments in Upper Klamath Lake poses a threat to the lake's ability to support economically critical activities. Investigators from several different organizations were in the field shortly after the earthquake recording aftershocks and checking intensities. The data from postal intensity surveys and field personnel are still coming in, and it will be some time before it is all evaluated and analyzed. When analyzed using a point sampling technique and binomial probability theory, several maps, illustrative of those produced for different parts of the country, were found to meet or exceed accuracies of 85 percent. Those maps tested were Tampa, Fla., Portland, Me., Charleston, W. Va., and Greeley, Colo., published at a scale of 1:250,000, and Atlanta, Ga., and Seattle and Tacoma, Wash., published at a scale of 1:100,000. For each map, the values were determined by calculating the ratio of the total number of points correctly interpreted to the total number of points sampled. Six of the seven maps tested have accuracies of 85 percent or better at the 95-percent lower confidence limit. When the sample data for predominant categories (those sampled with a significant number of points) were grouped together for all maps, accuracies of those predominant categories met the 85-percent accuracy criterion, with one exception. One category, Residential, had less than 85-percent accuracy at the 95-percent lower confidence limit. A recent estimate of the total annual cost of landslide damage is in excess of $1 billion {Schuster, 1978}. The damages can be significantly reduced, however, through the combined action of technical experts, government, and the public. \r\n\r\nBefore they can be expected to take action, local governments need to have an appreciation of costs of damage in their areas of responsibility and of the reductions in losses that can be achieved. Where studies of cost of landslide damages have been conducted, it is apparent that {1} costs to the public and private sectors of our economy due to landslide damage are much larger than anticipated; {2} taxpayers and public officials generally are unaware of the magnitude of the cost, owing perhaps to the lack of any centralization of data; and {3} incomplete records and unavailability of records result in lower reported costs than actually were incurred. \r\n\r\nThe U.S. Geological Survey has developed a method to estimate the cost of landslide damages in regional and local areas and has applied the method in three urban areas and one rural area. Costs are for different periods and are unadjusted for inflation; therefore, strict comparisons of data from different years should be avoided. Estimates of the average annual cost of landslide damage for the urban areas studied are $5,900,000 in the San Francisco Bay area; $4,000,000 in Allegheny County, Pa.; and $5,170,000 in Hamilton County, Ohio. Adjusting these figures for the population of each area, the annual cost of damages per capita are $1.30 in the nine-county San Francisco Bay region; $2.50 in Allegheny County, Pa.; and $5.80 in Hamilton County, Ohio. On the basis of data from other sources, the estimated annual damages on a per capita basis for the City of Los Angeles, Calif., are about $1.60. If the costs were available for the damages from landslides in Los Angeles in 1977-78 and 1979-80, the annual per capita costs probably would be much larger. \r\n\r\nThe landslide near the rural community of Manti, Utah, caused an expenditure of about $1,800,000 or about $1,000 per person during the period 1974-76. Because the volume of use of these compounds is low, insufficient data is available on their toxic properties. This report is an attempt to summarize the known data from published and industry sources. The physical properties, hazards of handling,proper storage facilities, and adequate protective Clothing are discussed for each compound as well as for their common and less-common solvents. Toxicity data for these materials is listed along with exposure symptoms and suggested first aid treatments. Safety for the worker is emphasized. Three reclamation methods which recover the solvent used as a dilutant and purify the heavy liquid are discussed and illustrated. These include: the water cascade, re fluxing-distillation-condensation, and flash evaporation methods. Various techniques for restoration and stabilization of these heavy liquids are also included.","language":"ENGLISH","publisher":"U.S. Dept. of the Interior, Geological Survey ;\r\nFree on application to Branch of Distribution, U.S. Geological Survey,","doi":"10.3133/cir827","usgsCitation":"Hauff, P.L., and Airey, J., 1980, The handling, hazards, and maintenance of heavy liquids in the geologic laboratory: U.S. Geological Survey Circular 827, iv, 24 p. :10 ill. ;26 cm., https://doi.org/10.3133/cir827.","productDescription":"iv, 24 p. :10 ill. ;26 cm.","costCenters":[],"links":[{"id":118130,"rank":0,"type":{"id":24,"text":"Thumbnail"},"url":"https://pubs.usgs.gov/circ/1980/0827/report-thumb.jpg"},{"id":30896,"rank":300,"type":{"id":11,"text":"Document"},"url":"https://pubs.usgs.gov/circ/1980/0827/report.pdf","linkFileType":{"id":1,"text":"pdf"}}],"noUsgsAuthors":false,"publicationStatus":"PW","scienceBaseUri":"4f4e4a90e4b07f02db655f41","contributors":{"authors":[{"text":"Hauff, Phoebe L.","contributorId":10402,"corporation":false,"usgs":true,"family":"Hauff","given":"Phoebe","email":"","middleInitial":"L.","affiliations":[],"preferred":false,"id":147684,"contributorType":{"id":1,"text":"Authors"},"rank":1},{"text":"Airey, Joseph","contributorId":92105,"corporation":false,"usgs":true,"family":"Airey","given":"Joseph","email":"","affiliations":[],"preferred":false,"id":147685,"contributorType":{"id":1,"text":"Authors"},"rank":2}]}}

The strongly implicit procedure (SIP) numerical method is used to solve the set of simultaneous equations. New data processing techniques and program input and output options are emphasized. The quifer system to be modeled may be heterogeneous and anisotropic, and may include both artesian and water-table conditions. Systems which consist of well defined alternating layers of highly permeable and poorly permeable material may be represented by a sequence of equations for two dimensional flow in each of the highly permeable units. Boundaries where head or flux is user-specified may be irregularly shaped. The program also allows the user to represent streams as limited-source boundaries when the streamflow is small in relation to the hydraulic stress on the system. The data-processing techniques relating to ' cube ' input and output, to swapping of layers, to restarting of simulation, to free-format NAMELIST input, to the details of each sub-routine 's logic, and to the overlay program structure are discussed. The program is capable of processing large models that might overflow computer memories with conventional programs. Detailed instructions for selecting program options, for initializing the data arrays, for defining ' cube ' output lists and maps, and for plotting hydrographs of calculated and observed heads and/or drawdowns are provided. Output may be restricted to those nodes of particular interest, thereby reducing the volumes of printout for modelers, which may be critical when working at remote terminals. ' Cube ' input commands allow the modeler to set aquifer parameters and initialize the model with very few input records. Appendixes provide instructions to compile the program, definitions and cross-references for program variables, summary of the FLECS structured FORTRAN programming language, listings of the FLECS and FORTRAN source code, and samples of input and output for example simulations. This eruption is one of the best documented of Kilauean eruptions: Murata and Richter (1966) and Richter and Murata (1966) presented data on the chemistry and petrography of the lavas, respectively, and Richter et al. (1970) described the complex filling of the pit crater in considerable detail.

Investigation of the lava lake began a few months after the crust stabilized, with the establishment of two perpendicular lines of levelling stations on the surface of the lake. In 1960-62, four holes were drilled through the upper crust in the center of the lake; the crust was 22-44 feet (6.7-13.4 m) thick at that time. Richter and Moore (1966) presented petrographic, modal, and chemical data on the core recovered from this early drilling.

The upper crust of Kilauea Iki was drilled again in 1967 by staff members of the Hawaiian Volcano Observatory, and core was recovered from three holes. A summary of all work done on Kilauea Iki and other Hawaiian lava lakes through 1975 has been given by Wright et al. In 1978-79, they drilled a total of six holes; one, commissioned by the U.S. Geological Survey, went completely through the lava lake near its north edge, into the pre-1959 lavas below.
","language":"English","publisher":"U.S. Geological Survey","doi":"10.3133/ofr80504","usgsCitation":"Helz, R.T., Banks, N.G., Casadevall, T.J., Fiske, R.S., and Moore, R.B., 1980, A catalogue of drill core recovered from Kilauea Iki lava lake, from 1967 to 1979: U.S. Geological Survey Open-File Report 80-504, 72 p., https://doi.org/10.3133/ofr80504.","productDescription":"72 p.","costCenters":[],"links":[{"id":140781,"rank":0,"type":{"id":24,"text":"Thumbnail"},"url":"https://pubs.usgs.gov/of/1980/0504/report-thumb.jpg"},{"id":408713,"rank":2,"type":{"id":11,"text":"Document"},"url":"https://pubs.usgs.gov/of/1980/0504/report.pdf","linkFileType":{"id":1,"text":"pdf"}}],"country":"United States","state":"Hawaii","otherGeospatial":"Kilauea Iki lava lake","geographicExtents":"{\n \"type\": \"FeatureCollection\",\n \"features\": [\n {\n \"type\": \"Feature\",\n \"properties\": {},\n \"geometry\": {\n \"type\": \"Polygon\",\n \"coordinates\": [\n [\n [\n -155.30925750732422,\n 19.39180098837034\n ],\n [\n -155.22171020507812,\n 19.39180098837034\n ],\n [\n -155.22171020507812,\n 19.43583809782748\n ],\n [\n -155.30925750732422,\n 19.43583809782748\n ],\n [\n -155.30925750732422,\n 19.39180098837034\n ]\n ]\n ]\n }\n }\n ]\n}","noUsgsAuthors":false,"publicationStatus":"PW","scienceBaseUri":"53cd497ee4b0b290850ef3c7","contributors":{"authors":[{"text":"Helz, Rosalind Tuthill 0000-0003-1550-0684","orcid":"https://orcid.org/0000-0003-1550-0684","contributorId":85587,"corporation":false,"usgs":true,"family":"Helz","given":"Rosalind","email":"","middleInitial":"Tuthill","affiliations":[],"preferred":false,"id":154002,"contributorType":{"id":1,"text":"Authors"},"rank":1},{"text":"Banks, Norman G.","contributorId":89524,"corporation":false,"usgs":true,"family":"Banks","given":"Norman","email":"","middleInitial":"G.","affiliations":[],"preferred":false,"id":154001,"contributorType":{"id":1,"text":"Authors"},"rank":2},{"text":"Casadevall, Thomas J. 0000-0002-9447-6864 tcasadevall@usgs.gov","orcid":"https://orcid.org/0000-0002-9447-6864","contributorId":2734,"corporation":false,"usgs":true,"family":"Casadevall","given":"Thomas","email":"tcasadevall@usgs.gov","middleInitial":"J.","affiliations":[{"id":35995,"text":"Geology, Geophysics, and Geochemistry Science Center","active":true,"usgs":true}],"preferred":true,"id":154003,"contributorType":{"id":1,"text":"Authors"},"rank":3},{"text":"Fiske, Richard S.","contributorId":229675,"corporation":false,"usgs":false,"family":"Fiske","given":"Richard","email":"","middleInitial":"S.","affiliations":[{"id":36606,"text":"Smithsonian Institution","active":true,"usgs":false}],"preferred":false,"id":154000,"contributorType":{"id":1,"text":"Authors"},"rank":4},{"text":"Moore, R. The principal objectives of this program have been to use data recorded by this network to precisely locate earthquakes in the active seismic zones of southern Alaska, delineate seismically active faults, assess seismic risk, document potential premonitory earthquake phenomena, investigate current tectonic deformation, and study the structure and physical properties of the crust and upper mantle. A task fundamental to all of these goals is the routine cataloging of earthquake parameters for earthquakes located within and adjacent to the seismograph network.

<br Drill cuttings, water samples, and water-level measurements were collected. Geologist's, driller's, and geophysical logs were completed. The well is constructed with 12-inch diameter casing to a depth of 515 feet and 6-inch diameter casing from 515 to 2,000 feet. The remainder is open hole. The uppermost 500 feet of material penetrated by the well consists of sand, clay, limestone, and dolomite. In the remainder of the hole, the material consists of fragmental and granular limestone and massive to finely crystalline dolomite, which comprise the Floridan aquifer in the area. After the well was completed, water levels in the monitored zone, 2,000 to 2,102 feet, were above land surface. During July and August 1979, water levels ranged from about 8 to 13 feet above land surface. Chloride concentrations of water sampled through the drill stem from a depth of 632 to 2,039 feet ranged from 25 to 710 milligrams per liter. Chloride increased markedly below 2,039 feet to a maximum of 7,800 milligrams per liter at 2,094 feet. Precipitation in the mountainous upper part of the watershed is the primary source of flow in the Mojave River. Total precipitation at Lake Arrowhead, representative of the mountainous area, was 98 inches in the 1969 water year and 93 inches in the 1978 water year. Of these totals, 94 inches in 1969 and 88 inches in 1978 fell during the rainy season, December through April. The resulting flood period in 1969 produced an instantaneous peak discharge of 18,000 cubic feet per second at Afton, about 100 miles downstream from Lake Arrowhead. This discharge had an approximate flood-recurrence interval of 30 years. An instantaneous peak of 24,800 cubic feet per second was measured during the 1978 floods at Deep Creek. This discharge had an approximate flood-recurrence interval of 20 years.

A comparison of the hydrologic data for the 1969 and 1978 flood periods indicates that although more precipitation occurred in 1969, more recharge occurred in 1978. The factors that caused the greater recharge were: (1) The more evenly distributed precipitation from December 1977 to April 1978, allowing for more uniform surface-water runoff in the Mojave River; (2) the dams constructed in the upper basin after 1969, which regulated floodflow peaks and allowed more water to stay in the basin; and (3) the lower water level in the aquifer in 1978, which made more space available to store the recharge water.

Total recharge resulting from the floods is estimated to have been 245,000 acre-feet in the 1969 water year and 282,000 acre-feet in 1978. At present (1979) costs of water from Silverwood Lake, the 1969 recharge would be worth about $4.6 million and the 1978 recharge about $5.2 million. If the water were derived from the turnout of the California Aqueduct, the undelivered costs would be about $4.9 million for 1969 and $5.6 million for 1978.
","language":"English","publisher":"U.S. Geological Survey","doi":"10.3133/ofr80207","collaboration":"Prepared in cooperation with the Mojave Water Agency","usgsCitation":"Buono, A., and Lang, D.J., 1980, Aquifer recharge from the 1969 and 1978 floods in the Mojave River basin, California: U.S. Geological Survey Open-File Report 80-207, Report: iv, 25 p.; 1 Plate: 22.11 x 18.02 inches, https://doi.org/10.3133/ofr80207.","productDescription":"Report: iv, 25 p.; 1 Plate: 22.11 x 18.02 inches","costCenters":[],"links":[{"id":408667,"rank":3,"type":{"id":29,"text":"Figure"},"url":"https://pubs.usgs.gov/of/1980/0207/figure-7.pdf","linkFileType":{"id":1,"text":"pdf"}},{"id":408666,"rank":2,"type":{"id":11,"text":"Document"},"url":"https://pubs.usgs.gov/of/1980/0207/report.pdf","linkFileType":{"id":1,"text":"pdf"}},{"id":140585,"rank":0,"type":{"id":24,"text":"Thumbnail"},"url":"https://pubs.usgs.gov/of/1980/0207/report-thumb.jpg"}],"country":"United States","state":"California","otherGeospatial":"Mojave River basin","geographicExtents":"{\n  \"type\": \"FeatureCollection\",\n  \"features\": [\n    {\n      \"type\": \"Feature\",\n      \"properties\": {},\n      \"geometry\": {\n        \"type\": \"Polygon\",\n        \"coordinates\": [\n          [\n            [\n              -118.05908203124999,\n              34.14363482031264\n            ],\n            [\n              -118.05908203124999,\n              36.05798104702501\n            ],\n            [\n              -115.59814453125001,\n              36.05798104702501\n            ],\n            [\n              -115.59814453125001,\n              34.14363482031264\n            ],\n            [\n              -118.05908203124999,\n              34.14363482031264\n            ]\n          ]\n        ]\n      }\n    }\n  ]\n}","noUsgsAuthors":false,"publicationStatus":"PW","scienceBaseUri":"4f4e4b17e4b07f02db6a5d44","contributors":{"authors":[{"text":"Buono, Anthony","contributorId":48175,"corporation":false,"usgs":true,"family":"Buono","given":"Anthony","email":"","affiliations":[],"preferred":false,"id":157155,"contributorType":{"id":1,"text":"Authors"},"rank":1},{"text":"Lang, David J.","contributorId":36548,"corporation":false,"usgs":true,"family":"Lang","given":"David","email":"","middleInitial":"J.","affiliations":[],"preferred":false,"id":157154,"contributorType":{"id":1,"text":"Authors"},"rank":2}]}}
