Areas of greatest water-level decline were in northeast Waukesha County and in northwest Milwaukee County. The chief cause of the decline was continued heavy pumpage. The major aquifers of southeastern Wisconsin are the Niagara aquifer, which is primarily Niagara Dolomite of Silurian age, and the sandstone aquifer, which consists of sandstones of Cambrian and Ordovician ages. Locally, the glacial sands and gravels ,of Pleistocene age also are important aquifers. In the Milwaukee-Waukesha area, the sandstone aquifer is completely artesian, confined above by the Maquoketa Shale. The Niagara aquifer is generally unconfined. Pumpage from the sandstone aquifer in the Milwaukee-Waukesha area de- creased from about 23.3 million gallons per day in 1950 to about 20.9 million gallons per day in 1961. The principal reason for decreased pumpage was sub- stitution of surface-water supply from Lake Michigan. Between 1950 and 1961, the water-level changes in wells in the sandstone aquifer ranged from plus 10 feet at Town of Lake to minus 98 feet in northwest Milwaukee. Except for a small area near Town of Lake, water levels in wells in the Milwaukee-Waukesha area were lower in 1961 than in 1950. Water-level changes were directly related to the pumpage pattern and pump- age changes. Increased pumpage at Waukesha and in northwest Milwaukee and continued heavy pumpage at Wauwatosa caused widespread water-level declines in northeast Waukesha County and in northwest Milwaukee County. Locally, decreased pumpage at West Milwaukee allowed limited recovery of water levels since 1957. Estimates of pumpage through the year 1975 indicate a pumpage decrease in the middle 1960's, followed by an increase in the late 1960's and early 1970's. Additional conversion to surface-water supply in Milwaukee County will account for most pumpage decreases. Increased pumpage is most likely in Waukesha County where the population is expanding rapidly and an adequate surface-water supply is not readily accessible. The westward shift of the pumpage pattern may cause an additional water-level decline of about 50 feet at Waukesha but will permit water levels to recover about 100 feet at West Allis by 1975. Partial or complete conversion to surface-water supplies by municipalities that depend entirely on water from the sandstone aquifer would allow greater use of the sandstone aquifer by isolated suburban developments and industries.
","largerWorkType":{"id":18,"text":"Report"},"largerWorkTitle":"Contributions to the hydrology of the United States","largerWorkSubtype":{"id":5,"text":"USGS Numbered Series"},"language":"English","publisher":"U.S. Geological Survey","doi":"10.3133/wsp1809I","collaboration":"Prepared in cooperation with the University of Wisconsin, Geological and Natural History Survey","usgsCitation":"Green, J.H., and Hutchinson, R.D., 1965, Ground-water pumpage and water-level changes in the Milwaukee-Waukesha area, Wisconsin, 1950-61: U.S. Geological Survey Water Supply Paper 1809, Report: iii, 19 p. ; 2 Plates: 19.50 x 24.00 inches and 18.50 x 24.00 inches, https://doi.org/10.3133/wsp1809I.","productDescription":"Report: iii, 19 p. ; 2 Plates: 19.50 x 24.00 inches and 18.50 x 24.00 inches","numberOfPages":"23","onlineOnly":"N","additionalOnlineFiles":"Y","costCenters":[{"id":677,"text":"Wisconsin Water Science Center","active":true,"usgs":true}],"links":[{"id":26806,"rank":2,"type":{"id":11,"text":"Document"},"url":"https://pubs.usgs.gov/wsp/1809i/report.pdf","linkFileType":{"id":1,"text":"pdf"}},{"id":136940,"rank":1,"type":{"id":24,"text":"Thumbnail"},"url":"https://pubs.usgs.gov/wsp/1809i/report-thumb.jpg"},{"id":26805,"rank":4,"type":{"id":17,"text":"Plate"},"url":"https://pubs.usgs.gov/wsp/1809i/plate-2.pdf","linkFileType":{"id":1,"text":"pdf"}},{"id":26804,"rank":3,"type":{"id":17,"text":"Plate"},"url":"https://pubs.usgs.gov/wsp/1809i/plate-1.pdf","linkFileType":{"id":1,"text":"pdf"}},{"id":414041,"rank":5,"type":{"id":36,"text":"NGMDB Index Page"},"url":"https://ngmdb.usgs.gov/Prodesc/proddesc_25008.htm","linkFileType":{"id":5,"text":"html"}}],"country":"United States","state":"Wisconsin","city":"Milwaukee, Waukesha","geographicExtents":"{\n  \"type\": \"FeatureCollection\",\n  \"features\": [\n    {\n      \"type\": \"Feature\",\n      \"properties\": {},\n      \"geometry\": {\n        \"coordinates\": [\n          [\n            [\n              -88.82011978710044,\n              43.6048598948214\n            ],\n            [\n              -88.82011978710044,\n              42.619688745253114\n            ],\n            [\n              -87.76500461016991,\n              42.619688745253114\n            ],\n            [\n              -87.76500461016991,\n              43.6048598948214\n            ],\n            [\n              -88.82011978710044,\n              43.6048598948214\n            ]\n          ]\n        ],\n        \"type\": \"Polygon\"\n      }\n    }\n  ]\n}","noUsgsAuthors":false,"publicationStatus":"PW","scienceBaseUri":"4f4e4aa8e4b07f02db6673ff","contributors":{"authors":[{"text":"Green, J. The adsorbed compounds can then be recovered from the resin as concentrates by elution with selective solvent mixtures. Measurements of the amounts of lampricides in the final concentrates can be made colorimetrically at 395 mI? for TFM and at 530 mI? for the safranin complex of DCN. TFM has also been separated for quantitative determination from homogenates of whole fish. The fish is first macerated in a blender and then hydrolyzed in hot, 3 N hydrochloric acid. The amount of background color, due to certain components of the fish in the hydrolysate, is reduced by one or a combination of three methods: (1) a series of three extractions with ether, methylene chloride, and benzene; (2) cation exchange followed by methylene chloride extraction; or (3) ether extraction followed by anion exchange and subsequent desorption with amyl acetate-acetic acid.","language":"English","publisher":"Great Lakes Fishery Commission","collaboration":"Out-of-print","usgsCitation":"Daniels, S.L., Kempe, L.L., Billy, T.J., and Beeton, A.M., 1965, Detection and measurement of organic lampricide residues: Technical Report 9, 18 p.","productDescription":"18 p.","startPage":"0","endPage":"18","numberOfPages":"18","costCenters":[{"id":324,"text":"Great Lakes Science Center","active":true,"usgs":true}],"links":[{"id":198533,"rank":0,"type":{"id":24,"text":"Thumbnail"},"url":"https://pubs.usgs.gov/thumbnails/outside_thumb.jpg"},{"id":92065,"rank":300,"type":{"id":11,"text":"Document"},"url":"https://www.glfc.org/pubs/TechReports/Tr09.pdf","linkFileType":{"id":1,"text":"pdf"}}],"noUsgsAuthors":false,"publicationStatus":"PW","scienceBaseUri":"4f4e4aa8e4b07f02db667a68","contributors":{"authors":[{"text":"Daniels, Stacy L.","contributorId":105821,"corporation":false,"usgs":true,"family":"Daniels","given":"Stacy","email":"","middleInitial":"L.","affiliations":[],"preferred":false,"id":324929,"contributorType":{"id":1,"text":"Authors"},"rank":1},{"text":"Kempe, Lloyd L.","contributorId":55117,"corporation":false,"usgs":true,"family":"Kempe","given":"Lloyd","email":"","middleInitial":"L.","affiliations":[],"preferred":false,"id":324926,"contributorType":{"id":1,"text":"Authors"},"rank":2},{"text":"Billy, Thomas J.","contributorId":76853,"corporation":false,"usgs":true,"family":"Billy","given":"Thomas","email":"","middleInitial":"J.","affiliations":[],"preferred":false,"id":324927,"contributorType":{"id":1,"text":"Authors"},"rank":3},{"text":"Beeton, Alfred M.","contributorId":94247,"corporation":false,"usgs":true,"family":"Beeton","given":"Alfred","email":"","middleInitial":"M.","affiliations":[],"preferred":false,"id":324928,"contributorType":{"id":1,"text":"Authors"},"rank":4}]}}

Large numbers of the big fish spawn in the Ohio marshes adjacent to Lake Erie. Movements related to spawning reach a peak in late March or early April. Later the spawning population disperses and is seldom represented in catches by experimental gear or by anglers. The short period of availability was used to obtain life history information in March of 1951 through 1953. No comprehensive length-weight data for this species have previously been published from this area. East Harbor is a sandspit pond separated from Lake Erie by a large sand bar. Waters and fish populations of the harbor and lake can mix freely through a permanent connecting channel. The larger part of the 850 surface acres of the harbor is normally less than 8 feet deep. The male northern pike averaged 20.5 inches in length and ranged from 13.5 to 28.5 inches. The conspicuously larger females averaged 26.0 inches and ranged from 15.5 to 37.5 inches.
","language":"English","publisher":"Taylor & Francis","doi":"10.1577/1548-8659(1965)94[404:LRONPE]2.0.CO;2","usgsCitation":"Brown, E.H., and Clark, C.F., 1965, Length-weight relationship of northern pike, Esox lucius, from East Harbor, Ohio: Transactions of the American Fisheries Society, v. 94, no. 4, p. 404-405, https://doi.org/10.1577/1548-8659(1965)94[404:LRONPE]2.0.CO;2.","productDescription":"2 p.","startPage":"404","endPage":"405","onlineOnly":"N","additionalOnlineFiles":"N","costCenters":[{"id":324,"text":"Great Lakes Science Center","active":true,"usgs":true}],"links":[{"id":132987,"rank":0,"type":{"id":24,"text":"Thumbnail"},"url":"https://pubs.usgs.gov/thumbnails/outside_thumb.jpg"}],"volume":"94","issue":"4","noUsgsAuthors":false,"publicationStatus":"PW","scienceBaseUri":"4f4e4b17e4b07f02db6a6108","contributors":{"authors":[{"text":"Brown, Edward H. Data are given on the food of lake trout of legal size (17 inches or longer) by year, season, and depth of water, and on the relation between food and size among smaller lake trout. Fish contributed 96.7 to 99.9 per cent of the total volume of food in the annual samples. Ciscoes (Coregonus spp.) were most common (52.2 to 87.5 per cent of the volume) in 1950 to 1953 and American smelt ranked first (65.6 per cent of the volume) in 1963. Cottids were in 8.9 to 12.3 per cent of the stomachs in 1950 to 1953 but in only 4.3 per cent in 1963. Insects ranked second to fish in occurrence (9.6 per cent for the combined samples) and crustaceans followed at 3.9 per cent. The greatest seasonal changes in the food of lake trout were among fish caught at 35 fathoms and shallower. The occurrence of Coregonus increased from 34.6 per cent in February-March to 71.1 per cent in October-December. Smelt were in 76.9 per cent of the stomachs in February-March but in only 2.2 per cent in October-December. Cottids, Mysis relicta, and insects were most common in the July-September collections. Lake trout taken at depths greater than 35 fathoms had eaten a higher percentage of Cottidae and Coregonus than had those captured in shallower water. Smelt, ninespine sticklebacks, Mysis, and insects were more frequent in stomachs of lake trout from less than 35 fathoms. Crustaceans comprised more than 70 per cent of the total volume of food for 4.0- to 7.9-inch lake trout but their importance decreased as the lake trout grew larger. Pontoporeia affinis was the most common in the stomachs of 4.0- to 6.9-inch lake trout and Mysis held first rank at 7.0 to 12.9 inches. Ostracods were important only to 4.0- to 4.9-inch lake trout. As the lake trout became larger, the importance of fish grew from 4.4-per cent occurrence at 5.0 to 5.9 inches to 93.9 per cent at 16.0 to 16.9 inches. Lake Ontario, although rich in nutrients, is morphometrically oligotrophic or mesotrophic because of its large area of deep water. Lake Erie, the most productive of the lakes and the shallowest, is eutrophic. Several changes commonly associated with eutrophication in small lakes have been observed in the Great Lakes. These changes apparently reflect accelerated eutrophication in the Great Lakes due to man's activity. Chemical data compiled from a number of sources, dating as early as 1854, indicate a progressive increase in the concentrations of various major ions and total dissolved solids in all of the lakes except Lake Superior. The plankton has changed somewhat in Lake Michigan and the plankton, benthos, and fish populations of Lake Erie are greatly different today from those of the past. An extensive area of hypolimnetic water of Lake Erie has developed low dissolved oxygen concentrations in late summer within recent years.
","language":"English","publisher":"Wiley","doi":"10.4319/lo.1965.10.2.0240","usgsCitation":"Beeton, A.M., 1965, Eutrophication of the St. Lawrence Great Lakes: Limnology and Oceanography, v. 10, no. 2, p. 240-254, https://doi.org/10.4319/lo.1965.10.2.0240.","productDescription":"15 p.","startPage":"240","endPage":"254","onlineOnly":"N","additionalOnlineFiles":"N","costCenters":[{"id":324,"text":"Great Lakes Science Center","active":true,"usgs":true}],"links":[{"id":480361,"rank":1,"type":{"id":40,"text":"Open Access Publisher Index Page"},"url":"https://doi.org/10.4319/lo.1965.10.2.0240","text":"Publisher Index Page"},{"id":133088,"rank":0,"type":{"id":24,"text":"Thumbnail"},"url":"https://pubs.usgs.gov/thumbnails/outside_thumb.jpg"}],"volume":"10","issue":"2","noUsgsAuthors":false,"publicationDate":"2003-12-22","publicationStatus":"PW","scienceBaseUri":"4f4e4a09e4b07f02db5fb0f7","contributors":{"authors":[{"text":"Beeton, Alfred M.","contributorId":94247,"corporation":false,"usgs":true,"family":"Beeton","given":"Alfred","email":"","middleInitial":"M.","affiliations":[],"preferred":false,"id":308086,"contributorType":{"id":1,"text":"Authors"},"rank":1}]}}

The study of movements is based on capture of 24,275 fin-clipped lake trout taken in experimental gill nets and trawls and commercial gill nets. Yearling lake trout planted from shore dispersed to 15-fath (27-m) depths in 3A? hr. Most fish remained within 2 miles (3.2 km) of the planting site 2 months, but within 4 months some fish had moved as much as 17 miles (27 km). The highest abundance of planted lake trout was in areas 2-4 miles (3.2-6.4 km) from the planting site even 3 years after release. Distance moved and size of fish were not correlated. Dispersal of lake trout begins at planting and probably continues until the fish are mature. Most movement was eastward in southern Lake Superior and followed the counterclockwise surface currents. Movement is most rapid in areas of strong currents and slowest in areas of weak currents or eddies. Movement to areas west of the Keweenaw Peninsula was insignificant from plantings in Keweenaw Bay and nil from other plantings farther east. Lake trout planted in the eastern third of the lake dispersed more randomly than those planted farther west. Few fish moved farther offshore than the 50-fath (91-m) contour. Lake trout planted in Canadian waters made insignificant contributions to populations in US waters.
","language":"English","publisher":"NRC Research Press","doi":"10.1139/f65-093","usgsCitation":"Pycha, R.L., Dryer, W.R., and King, G.R., 1965, Movements of hatchery-reared lake trout in Lake Superior: Journal of the Fisheries Research Board of Canada, v. 22, no. 4, p. 999-1024, https://doi.org/10.1139/f65-093.","productDescription":"26 p.","startPage":"999","endPage":"1024","onlineOnly":"N","additionalOnlineFiles":"N","costCenters":[{"id":324,"text":"Great Lakes Science Center","active":true,"usgs":true}],"links":[{"id":132878,"rank":0,"type":{"id":24,"text":"Thumbnail"},"url":"https://pubs.usgs.gov/thumbnails/outside_thumb.jpg"}],"volume":"22","issue":"4","noUsgsAuthors":false,"publicationStatus":"PW","scienceBaseUri":"4f4e4a6de4b07f02db63ee14","contributors":{"authors":[{"text":"Pycha, Richard L.","contributorId":17175,"corporation":false,"usgs":true,"family":"Pycha","given":"Richard","email":"","middleInitial":"L.","affiliations":[],"preferred":false,"id":308346,"contributorType":{"id":1,"text":"Authors"},"rank":1},{"text":"Dryer, William R.","contributorId":71921,"corporation":false,"usgs":true,"family":"Dryer","given":"William","email":"","middleInitial":"R.","affiliations":[],"preferred":false,"id":308347,"contributorType":{"id":1,"text":"Authors"},"rank":2},{"text":"King, George R.","contributorId":74721,"corporation":false,"usgs":true,"family":"King","given":"George","email":"","middleInitial":"R.","affiliations":[],"preferred":false,"id":308348,"contributorType":{"id":1,"text":"Authors"},"rank":3}]}}

The fresh water is surrounded and underlain by brackish water (> 4000 ppm TDS). Drilling and testing show that fresh water saturation is restricted to wadis and basin areas; in Rawdatain basin it attains a maximum thickness of about 110 feet and a lateral extent of about seven miles.

The fresh ground water represents recharge localized, during infrequent, torrential rain storms, in areas of concentrated runoff where sediments in the vadose zone are moderately permeable and depth to the water table is generally less than a hundred feet. Concentration of runoff appears to be the primary control in the localization of recharge. The fresh water percolates downward to the ground-water reservoir following rare storms, then flows in the direction of hydraulic gradient and gradually becomes brackish.

Theoretical delineation of the recharge area and ground-water flow pattern in Rawdatain was confirmed by tritium and C14 dating of the water.

Brackish ground-water conditions prevail from water table downward in areas where rainfall infiltrates essentially where it falls, permeability of sediments in the vadose zone is low, or the water table is several hundred feet below land surface. In these areas, rainfall is retained and lost within the soil zone or becomes mineralized during deep percolation.
","language":"English","publisher":"Elsevier","doi":"10.1016/0022-1694(65)90038-7","issn":"00221694","usgsCitation":"Bergstrom, R., and Aten, R., 1965, Natural recharge and localization of fresh ground water in Kuwait: Journal of Hydrology, v. 2, no. 3, p. 213-231, https://doi.org/10.1016/0022-1694(65)90038-7.","productDescription":"19 p.","startPage":"213","endPage":"231","numberOfPages":"19","costCenters":[],"links":[{"id":219390,"rank":0,"type":{"id":24,"text":"Thumbnail"},"url":"https://pubs.usgs.gov/thumbnails/outside_thumb.jpg"}],"country":"Kuwait","geographicExtents":"{\"type\":\"FeatureCollection\",\"features\":[{\"type\":\"Feature\",\"geometry\":{\"type\":\"Polygon\",\"coordinates\":[[[47.97452,29.97582],[48.18319,29.53448],[48.09394,29.3063],[48.41609,28.552],[47.70885,28.52606],[47.45982,29.00252],[46.56871,29.09903],[47.30262,30.05907],[47.97452,29.97582]]]},\"properties\":{\"name\":\"Kuwait\"}}]}","volume":"2","issue":"3","noUsgsAuthors":false,"publicationStatus":"PW","scienceBaseUri":"505a6351e4b0c8380cd7241c","contributors":{"authors":[{"text":"Bergstrom, R.E.","contributorId":66413,"corporation":false,"usgs":true,"family":"Bergstrom","given":"R.E.","email":"","affiliations":[],"preferred":false,"id":359369,"contributorType":{"id":1,"text":"Authors"},"rank":1},{"text":"Aten, R.E.","contributorId":18105,"corporation":false,"usgs":true,"family":"Aten","given":"R.E.","email":"","affiliations":[],"preferred":false,"id":359368,"contributorType":{"id":1,"text":"Authors"},"rank":2}]}}

Therefore, it is advantageous to have a rapid method for sodium determination which could be readily adapted to field use. Accordingly, thirty waters of highly variable concentration and anionic composition from the western Great Basin have been analyzed with a sodium-sensitive glass electrode. Na+ values ranged from 10 to 130,000 ppm in waters containing from 102 to 401,000 ppm total dissolved solids. The electrode values were compared with conventional sodium determinations; results differed by as much as 11 per cent, although over two-thirds were within 5 per cent. No significant relation was found between the glass electrode and conventional method differences and the total dissolved solids or sodium concentration. The comparative accuracy of electrode and conventional procedures was checked, employing solutions of known sodium concentration. It was concluded that for the analysis of sodium in natural waters the glass electrode method offers results comparable in accuracy to those obtained by conventional methods, but with increased simplicity, and therefore the possibility of rapid, accurate field measurements.

","language":"English","publisher":"Elsevier","doi":"10.1016/0016-7037(65)90066-9","issn":"00167037","usgsCitation":"Truesdell, A., Jones, B., and Van Denburgh, A.S., 1965, Glass electrode determination of sodium in closed basin waters: Geochimica et Cosmochimica Acta, v. 29, no. 6, p. 725-736, https://doi.org/10.1016/0016-7037(65)90066-9.","productDescription":"12 p.","startPage":"725","endPage":"736","numberOfPages":"12","costCenters":[],"links":[{"id":218617,"rank":0,"type":{"id":24,"text":"Thumbnail"},"url":"https://pubs.usgs.gov/thumbnails/outside_thumb.jpg"}],"volume":"29","issue":"6","noUsgsAuthors":false,"publicationStatus":"PW","scienceBaseUri":"505a2928e4b0c8380cd5a6f4","contributors":{"authors":[{"text":"Truesdell, A.H.","contributorId":52566,"corporation":false,"usgs":false,"family":"Truesdell","given":"A.H.","email":"","affiliations":[{"id":6672,"text":"former: USGS Southwest Biological Science Center, Colorado Plateau Research Station, Flagstaff, AZ. The water becomes increasingly supersaturated with calcite in a downstream direction as CO2 loss to the air and by photosynthesis exceeds the rate of precipitation of calcite. Water loss by evaporation was below detection and does not play an important role in calcite deposition in this case. The water loss is by seepage through the stream bed. In addition, numerous attachment scars are observed on the exterior surface with interconnected penetration scars on the interior surface of the valves. It is speculated that the foraminifer made the partial or complete penetration of the clam shell in connection with its search for calcium carbonate for shell-building. From the nature of the scars on the interior of the valves, it is clear that the clam was alive, because there are mounded up shell deposits around some of the openings and others are completely sealed shut by shell material deposited by the clam.

","language":"English","publisher":"Elsevier","doi":"10.1016/0011-7471(65)90806-5","issn":"00117471","usgsCitation":"Todd, R., 1965, A new Rosalina (foraminifera) parasitic on a bivalve: Deep-Sea Research and Oceanographic Abstracts, v. 12, no. 6, 10 p., https://doi.org/10.1016/0011-7471(65)90806-5.","productDescription":"10 p.","costCenters":[],"links":[{"id":218725,"rank":0,"type":{"id":24,"text":"Thumbnail"},"url":"https://pubs.usgs.gov/thumbnails/outside_thumb.jpg"}],"volume":"12","issue":"6","noUsgsAuthors":false,"publicationStatus":"PW","scienceBaseUri":"5059e499e4b0c8380cd4675b","contributors":{"authors":[{"text":"Todd, R.","contributorId":77654,"corporation":false,"usgs":true,"family":"Todd","given":"R.","email":"","affiliations":[],"preferred":false,"id":358944,"contributorType":{"id":1,"text":"Authors"},"rank":1}]}}

Solvent extraction and anion exchange were used to separate and concentrate the lampricide, and to reduce high background colors which often interfere with the determinations. Data from the Pentwater and Muskegon Rivers (Michigan) showed an exponential rate of disappearance of TFM from the water immediately after treatments to eradicate larvae of the sea lamprey (Petromyzon marinus). No TFM was recovered from fish exposed in their natural environment to low levels of the lampricide during treatment; residues were recovered, however, from fish exposed to high concentrations in the laboratory.
","largerWorkType":{"id":24,"text":"Conference Paper"},"largerWorkTitle":"Proceedings of the 8th Conference on Great Lakes Research","largerWorkSubtype":{"id":19,"text":"Conference Paper"},"conferenceTitle":"8th Conference on Great Lakes Research","conferenceDate":"March 29-30","conferenceLocation":"Ann Arbor, MI","language":"English","publisher":"University of Michigan","usgsCitation":"Billy, T.J., Daniels, S.L., Kempe, L.L., and Beeton, A.M., 1965, Field application methods for recovery of the selective lampricide, 3-trifluoromethyl-4-nitrophenol, in Proceedings of the 8th Conference on Great Lakes Research, Ann Arbor, MI, March 29-30, p. 17-24.","productDescription":"8 p.","startPage":"17","endPage":"24","onlineOnly":"N","additionalOnlineFiles":"N","costCenters":[{"id":324,"text":"Great Lakes Science Center","active":true,"usgs":true}],"links":[{"id":321589,"type":{"id":24,"text":"Thumbnail"},"url":"https://pubs.usgs.gov/thumbnails/outside_thumb.jpg"}],"noUsgsAuthors":false,"publicationStatus":"PW","scienceBaseUri":"574d6505e4b07e28b6683e7b","contributors":{"authors":[{"text":"Billy, Thomas J.","contributorId":76853,"corporation":false,"usgs":true,"family":"Billy","given":"Thomas","email":"","middleInitial":"J.","affiliations":[],"preferred":false,"id":630121,"contributorType":{"id":1,"text":"Authors"},"rank":1},{"text":"Daniels, Stacy L.","contributorId":105821,"corporation":false,"usgs":true,"family":"Daniels","given":"Stacy","email":"","middleInitial":"L.","affiliations":[],"preferred":false,"id":630122,"contributorType":{"id":1,"text":"Authors"},"rank":2},{"text":"Kempe, Lloyd L.","contributorId":55117,"corporation":false,"usgs":true,"family":"Kempe","given":"Lloyd","email":"","middleInitial":"L.","affiliations":[],"preferred":false,"id":630123,"contributorType":{"id":1,"text":"Authors"},"rank":3},{"text":"Beeton, Alfred M.","contributorId":94247,"corporation":false,"usgs":true,"family":"Beeton","given":"Alfred","email":"","middleInitial":"M.","affiliations":[],"preferred":false,"id":630124,"contributorType":{"id":1,"text":"Authors"},"rank":4}]}}
