If current trends continue, roughly 20% to 25% of total world fish meal production could be used for aquaculture by the year 2000. Fish stocks used in fish meal reduction, however, appear to be in worldwide decline. A growing fish farming industry and a stagnating, if not diminishing, supply of fish meal have sobering economic and technologic implications for fish culture. Unless suitable alternate protein sources are found or other animal feeds begin to rely less on fish meal, fish production costs can be expected to increase dramatically. A precedent was set by the poultry industry, the most economically successful and competitive of the animal agriculture industries. Twenty years ago, the poultry industry consumed up to 80% of fish meal supplies. Through deliberate and well-organized research into alternate protein sources, the industry now uses less than 40% of supplies, and the trend is toward complete independence from fish meal. A comparable research effort is needed for aquaculture. Considering the biotechnologies available, plant proteins, processed to remove enzyme inhibitors and other antinutritional factors and properly supplemented with essential amino acids and minerals where needed, could produce results at least equivalent to those obtained with fish meal.</span></p>","language":"English","publisher":"Wiley","doi":"10.1577/1548-8446(1993)018<0014:FMAASO>2.0.CO;2","usgsCitation":"Rumsey, G.L., 1993, Fish meal and alternate sources of protein in fish feeds: Update 1993: Fisheries, v. 18, no. 7, p. 14-19, https://doi.org/10.1577/1548-8446(1993)018<0014:FMAASO>2.0.CO;2.","productDescription":"6 p.","startPage":"14","endPage":"19","costCenters":[{"id":365,"text":"Leetown Science Center","active":true,"usgs":true}],"links":[{"id":131989,"rank":1,"type":{"id":24,"text":"Thumbnail"},"url":"https://pubs.usgs.gov/thumbnails/outside_thumb.jpg"}],"volume":"18","issue":"7","noUsgsAuthors":false,"publicationStatus":"PW","scienceBaseUri":"4f4e4ad7e4b07f02db684528","contributors":{"authors":[{"text":"Rumsey, G. We present evidence suggesting that insulin-like growth factor I (IGF-I) mediates some of the actions of GH on seawater acclimation. Plasma concentration and turnover of GH rise following exposure to seawater. Exogenous GH (</span><i>in vivo</i><span>) increases gill Na</span><sup>+</sup><span>,K</span><sup>+</sup><span>-ATPase activity and the number of gill chloride cells, and inhibits an increase in plasma osmolarity and ions following transfer of fish to seawater. A single class of high affinity GH receptors is present in the liver, gill, intestine, and kidney. The levels of IGF-I mRNA in the liver, gill and kidney increased after GH-injection. After transfer to seawater, IGF-I mRNA increased in the gill and kidney following the rise in plasma GH, although no significant change was seen in the liver. Injection of IGF-I improved the ability of the fish to maintain plasma sodium levels after transfer to seawater. GH treatment also sensitizes the interrenal to adrenocorticotropin (ACTH), increasing cortisol secretion. Both cortisol and IGF-I may be involved in mediating the action of GH in seawater adaptation, although studies on the effect of GH on osmoregulatory physiology of non-salmonid species are limited. An integrated model of the osmoregulatory actions of GH is presented, and areas in need of research are outlined.</span></p>","language":"English","publisher":"Springer Link","doi":"10.1007/BF00004562","usgsCitation":"Sakamoto, T., McCormick, S., and Hirano, T., 1993, Osmoregulatory actions of growth hormone and its mode of action in salmonids: A review: Fish Physiology and Biochemistry, v. 11, no. 1-6, p. 155-164, https://doi.org/10.1007/BF00004562.","productDescription":"10 p.","startPage":"155","endPage":"164","numberOfPages":"10","costCenters":[{"id":365,"text":"Leetown Science Center","active":true,"usgs":true}],"links":[{"id":132249,"rank":1,"type":{"id":24,"text":"Thumbnail"},"url":"https://pubs.usgs.gov/thumbnails/outside_thumb.jpg"}],"volume":"11","issue":"1-6","noUsgsAuthors":false,"publicationStatus":"PW","scienceBaseUri":"4f4e4ae5e4b07f02db68a553","contributors":{"authors":[{"text":"Sakamoto, T.","contributorId":31573,"corporation":false,"usgs":true,"family":"Sakamoto","given":"T.","email":"","affiliations":[],"preferred":false,"id":321393,"contributorType":{"id":1,"text":"Authors"},"rank":1},{"text":"McCormick, Stephen D. 0000-0003-0621-6200 smccormick@usgs.gov","orcid":"https://orcid.org/0000-0003-0621-6200","contributorId":139201,"corporation":false,"usgs":true,"family":"McCormick","given":"Stephen D.","email":"smccormick@usgs.gov","affiliations":[{"id":365,"text":"Leetown Science Center","active":true,"usgs":true}],"preferred":false,"id":321392,"contributorType":{"id":1,"text":"Authors"},"rank":2},{"text":"Hirano, T.","contributorId":85455,"corporation":false,"usgs":true,"family":"Hirano","given":"T.","affiliations":[],"preferred":false,"id":321394,"contributorType":{"id":1,"text":"Authors"},"rank":3}]}}

Volcanic activity creates and maintains hydrothermal systems while earthquakes create permeable fractures that, at least temporarily, enhance circulation. Magma and water, possibly hydrothermal water, can interact violently to produce explosive eruptions. Finally, we speculate on whether volcanic behavior can be affected by high rates of heat extraction.","largerWorkTitle":"Transactions - Geothermal Resources Council","conferenceTitle":"Proceedings of the 1993 Annual Meeting on Utilities and Geothermal: An Emerging Partnership","conferenceDate":"10 October 1993 through 13 October 1993","conferenceLocation":"Burlingame, CA, USA","language":"English","publisher":"Publ by Geothermal Resources Council","publisherLocation":"Davis, CA, United States","issn":"01935933","isbn":"0934412715","usgsCitation":"Kauhikaua, J., and Moore, R.B., 1993, Dynamic behavior of Kilauea Volcano and its relation to hydrothermal systems and geothermal energy, <i>in</i> Transactions - Geothermal Resources Council, v. 17, Burlingame, CA, USA, 10 October 1993 through 13 October 1993, p. 129-133.","startPage":"129","endPage":"133","numberOfPages":"5","costCenters":[],"links":[{"id":228631,"rank":0,"type":{"id":24,"text":"Thumbnail"},"url":"https://pubs.usgs.gov/thumbnails/outside_thumb.jpg"}],"volume":"17","noUsgsAuthors":false,"publicationStatus":"PW","scienceBaseUri":"505a0423e4b0c8380cd507e2","contributors":{"editors":[{"text":"Anon","contributorId":128316,"corporation":true,"usgs":false,"organization":"Anon","id":536384,"contributorType":{"id":2,"text":"Editors"},"rank":1}],"authors":[{"text":"Kauhikaua, Jim","contributorId":11354,"corporation":false,"usgs":true,"family":"Kauhikaua","given":"Jim","email":"","affiliations":[],"preferred":false,"id":377803,"contributorType":{"id":1,"text":"Authors"},"rank":1},{"text":"Moore, R. The WAT meander belt formed by at least 9000 yr B.P., when sea level was lower and the Amite River was tributary to a larger ancestral drainage basin. The DS became an active meander belt by at least 3000 yr B.P., in response to relative sea-level rise and eastward progradation of the Mississippi River delta plain. The MAG developed its meander belt, in part, during the European settlement of the drainage basin, and is now attempting to adjust to modern anthropogenic influences. Geomorphic influences on the middle Amite River floodplain have temporal and spatial components that induce regional- and local-scale effects. Regional extrinsic influences caused meander belt avulsion that produced alloformations. However, local influences produced intrinsic geomorphic thresholds that modified channel morphology within a meander belt but did not induce alloformation development. Base-level influences of the relative sea-level rise and the Mississippi River delta plain were so dominant that the effects of possible climate change were not recognized in the Holocene Amite River system.","largerWorkType":{"id":2,"text":"Article"},"largerWorkTitle":"Quaternary Research","largerWorkSubtype":{"id":10,"text":"Journal Article"},"language":"English","doi":"10.1006/qres.1993.1008","issn":"00335894","usgsCitation":"Autin, W., 1993, Influences of Relative Sea-Level Rise and Mississippi River Delta Plain Evolution on the Holocene Middle Amite River, Southeastern Louisiana: Quaternary Research, v. 39, no. 1, p. 68-74, https://doi.org/10.1006/qres.1993.1008.","startPage":"68","endPage":"74","numberOfPages":"7","costCenters":[],"links":[{"id":206159,"rank":9999,"type":{"id":10,"text":"Digital Object Identifier"},"url":"https://dx.doi.org/10.1006/qres.1993.1008"},{"id":228866,"rank":0,"type":{"id":24,"text":"Thumbnail"},"url":"https://pubs.usgs.gov/thumbnails/outside_thumb.jpg"}],"volume":"39","issue":"1","noUsgsAuthors":false,"publicationDate":"2017-01-20","publicationStatus":"PW","scienceBaseUri":"505a3b9ae4b0c8380cd626bc","contributors":{"authors":[{"text":"Autin, W.J.","contributorId":7436,"corporation":false,"usgs":true,"family":"Autin","given":"W.J.","email":"","affiliations":[],"preferred":false,"id":377709,"contributorType":{"id":1,"text":"Authors"},"rank":1}]}}

Six whole-rock samples of marine carbonate rocks yield 206Pb/204Pb = 19.21-29.06, 207Pb/204Pb = 15.74-16.01, and 208Pb/204Pb = 37.90-39.25, and leachate and residue fractions of the rocks reveal additional isotopic heterogeneity within individual samples. Two samples of eolian dust also have isotopic compositions lying along a 'carbonate' to 'silicate' mixing trend that appears to arise entirely from pedogenic processes. The tendency for the marine carbonate rocks to evolve highly uranogenic, but no thorogenic, lead results in a distinctive isotopic composition that serves as a tracer in eolian dust and secondary carbonate minerals derived from the marine carbonate rocks.","largerWorkTitle":"High Level Radioactive Waste Management","conferenceTitle":"Proceedings of the 4th Annual International Conference on High Level Radioactive Waste Management","conferenceDate":"26 April 1993 through 30 April 1993","conferenceLocation":"Las Vegas, NV, USA","language":"English","publisher":"Publ by ASCE","publisherLocation":"New York, NY, United States","isbn":"0872629503","usgsCitation":"Zartman, R.E., and Kwak, L., 1993, Lead isotopic composition of paleozoic and late proterozoic marine carbonate rocks in the vicinity of Yucca Mountain, Nevada, <i>in</i> High Level Radioactive Waste Management, Las Vegas, NV, USA, 26 April 1993 through 30 April 1993, p. 1953-1959.","startPage":"1953","endPage":"1959","numberOfPages":"7","costCenters":[],"links":[{"id":227461,"rank":0,"type":{"id":24,"text":"Thumbnail"},"url":"https://pubs.usgs.gov/thumbnails/outside_thumb.jpg"}],"noUsgsAuthors":false,"publicationStatus":"PW","scienceBaseUri":"505a45c7e4b0c8380cd674c1","contributors":{"authors":[{"text":"Zartman, Robert E.","contributorId":47356,"corporation":false,"usgs":true,"family":"Zartman","given":"Robert","email":"","middleInitial":"E.","affiliations":[],"preferred":false,"id":379173,"contributorType":{"id":1,"text":"Authors"},"rank":1},{"text":"Kwak, Loretta M.","contributorId":62769,"corporation":false,"usgs":true,"family":"Kwak","given":"Loretta M.","affiliations":[],"preferred":false,"id":379174,"contributorType":{"id":1,"text":"Authors"},"rank":2}]}}

Knowledge of the origin and mineralogic relations of ammonium minerals at known hydrothermal systems is critical for the proper interpretation of remote sensing data and for testing of possible links to mineralization. Submicroscopic analysis of ammonium minerals from two mercury- and gold-bearing hot-springs deposits at Ivanhoe, Nevada and McLaughlin, California shows that the ammonium feldspar, buddingtonite, occurs as fine-grained euhedral crystals coating larger sulfide and quartz crystals. Ammonium feldspar seems to precipitate relatively late in the crystallization sequence and shows evidence for replacement of NH4+ by K+ or other monovalent cations. Some buddingtonite is observed in close association with mercury, but not with gold. Ammonioalunite is found in a variety of isolated crystal forms at both deposits. Nitrogen isotopic values for ammonium-bearing minerals show a 14??? range in composition, precluding assignment of a specific provenance to the nitrogen. The correlations of nitrogen isotopic values with depth and ammonium content suggest some loss of nitrogen in the oxidizing supergene environment, possibly as a metastable mineral. The high ammonium content in these hydrothermal systems, the close association to mercury, and the small crystal size of the ammonium-bearing minerals all suggest that ammonium may be transported in a late-stage vapor phase or as an organic volatile. Such a process could lead to the formation of a non-carbonaceous organic aureole above a buried geothermal source. The discovery of a 10-km outcrop of ammonium minerals confirms that significant substitution of ammonium in minerals is possible over an extensive area and that remote sensing is a feasible means to detect such aureoles. ?? 1993.","largerWorkType":{"id":2,"text":"Article"},"largerWorkTitle":"Journal of Volcanology and Geothermal Research","largerWorkSubtype":{"id":10,"text":"Journal Article"},"language":"English","issn":"03770273","usgsCitation":"Krohn, M.D., Kendall, C., Evans, J., and Fries, T.L., 1993, Relations of ammonium minerals at several hydrothermal systems in the western U.S.: Journal of Volcanology and Geothermal Research, v. 56, no. 4, p. 401-413.","startPage":"401","endPage":"413","numberOfPages":"13","costCenters":[],"links":[{"id":224835,"rank":0,"type":{"id":24,"text":"Thumbnail"},"url":"https://pubs.usgs.gov/thumbnails/outside_thumb.jpg"}],"volume":"56","issue":"4","noUsgsAuthors":false,"publicationStatus":"PW","scienceBaseUri":"50e4a711e4b0e8fec6cdc36f","contributors":{"authors":[{"text":"Krohn, M. However, most studies to date have focused on the relatively shallow, low-salinity parts of the ground-water system, and the deeper hydrothermal system remains poorly understood. The rift zones of adjacent Mauna Loa volcano bound the regional ground-water flow system that includes Kilauea, and the area bounded by the rift zones of Kilauea and the ocean may comprise a partly isolated subsystem. Rates of ground-water recharge vary greatly over the area and discharge is difficult to measure, because streams are ephemeral and most ground-water discharges diffusely at or below sea level. Hydrothermal systems exist at depth in Kilauea's cast and southwest rift zone, as evidenced by thermal springs at the coast and wells in the lower east-rift zone. Available data suggest that dike-impounded, heated ground water occurs at relatively high elevations in the upper east-and southwest-rift zones of Kilauea, and that permeability at depth in the rift zones (probably < 10-15 m2) is much lower than that of unaltered basalt flows closer to the surface (> 10 10 m2). Substantial variations in permeability and the presence of magmatic heat sources influence the structure of the fresh water-salt water interface, so the Ghyben-Herzberg model will often fail to predict its position. Numerical modeling studies have considered only subsets of the hydrothermal system, because no existing computer code solves the coupled fluid-flow, heat- and solute-transport problem over the temperature and salinity range encountered at Kilauea. ?? 1993.","largerWorkType":{"id":2,"text":"Article"},"largerWorkTitle":"Geothermics","largerWorkSubtype":{"id":10,"text":"Journal Article"},"language":"English","publisher":"Elsevier","doi":"10.1016/0375-6505(93)90003-6","issn":"03756505","usgsCitation":"Ingebritsen, S.E., and Scholl, M.A., 1993, The hydrogeology of Kilauea volcano: Geothermics, v. 22, no. 4, p. 255-270, https://doi.org/10.1016/0375-6505(93)90003-6.","startPage":"255","endPage":"270","numberOfPages":"16","costCenters":[],"links":[{"id":228419,"rank":0,"type":{"id":24,"text":"Thumbnail"},"url":"https://pubs.usgs.gov/thumbnails/outside_thumb.jpg"},{"id":268153,"type":{"id":10,"text":"Digital Object Identifier"},"url":"https://dx.doi.org/10.1016/0375-6505(93)90003-6"}],"volume":"22","issue":"4","noUsgsAuthors":false,"publicationStatus":"PW","scienceBaseUri":"505bacc7e4b08c986b32372b","contributors":{"authors":[{"text":"Ingebritsen, S. An objective in some of the investigations is locating and evaluating marine sand and gravel resources and interpretation of the origins of the sand body deposits. Results from such studies over the past 30 years show that many extremely large deposits are located close to expanding metropolitan areas, which have a need for aggregate materials for construction, and near-developed coastal areas, where beach replenishment may be used to mitigate coastal erosion. The Gulf of Mexico continental shelf from the Florida Peninsula to the Mexico border is an enormous area, but little attention has been directed on sand and gravel resources. Based on limited surveys, the total sand and gravel resources for the entire Gulf of Mexico is estimated to be 269 billion cubic meters. However, the sand tends to be fine-grained and is often mixed with mud; gravel deposits, except for shell, are mostly nonexistent.","largerWorkType":{"id":4,"text":"Book"},"largerWorkTitle":"Coastal zone: Proceedings of the symposium on coastal and ocean management","largerWorkSubtype":{"id":12,"text":"Conference publication"},"conferenceTitle":"Proceedings of the 8th Symposium on Coastal and Ocean Management","conferenceDate":"July 19-23, 1993","conferenceLocation":"New Orleans, LA","language":"English","publisher":"ASCE","isbn":"0872629600","usgsCitation":"Williams, S.J., and Cichon, H.A., 1993, Geologic assessments and characterization of marine sand resources - Gulf of Mexico region, <i>in</i> Coastal zone: Proceedings of the symposium on coastal and ocean management, New Orleans, LA, July 19-23, 1993, p. 217-223.","productDescription":"7 p.","startPage":"217","endPage":"223","costCenters":[{"id":678,"text":"Woods Hole Coastal and Marine Science Center","active":true,"usgs":true}],"links":[{"id":228997,"rank":0,"type":{"id":24,"text":"Thumbnail"},"url":"https://pubs.usgs.gov/thumbnails/outside_thumb.jpg"}],"otherGeospatial":"Gulf of Mexico","geographicExtents":"{\n  \"type\": \"FeatureCollection\",\n  \"features\": [\n    {\n      \"type\": \"Feature\",\n      \"properties\": {},\n      \"geometry\": {\n        \"type\": \"Polygon\",\n        \"coordinates\": [\n          [\n            [\n              -80.6396484375,\n              25.562265014427492\n            ],\n            [\n              -82.353515625,\n              29.38217507514529\n            ],\n            [\n              -83.671875,\n              30.751277776257812\n            ],\n            [\n              -86.9677734375,\n              31.203404950917395\n            ],\n            [\n              -91.0986328125,\n              30.939924331023445\n            ],\n            [\n              -94.2626953125,\n              30.675715404167743\n            ],\n            [\n              -96.591796875,\n              29.6880527498568\n            ],\n            [\n              -97.6025390625,\n              28.07198030177986\n            ],\n            [\n              -98.349609375,\n              25.839449402063185\n            ],\n            [\n              -98.39355468749999,\n              22.63429269379353\n            ],\n            [\n              -97.2509765625,\n              19.352610894378625\n            ],\n            [\n              -94.52636718749999,\n              17.769612247142653\n            ],\n            [\n              -91.5380859375,\n              17.811456088564483\n            ],\n            [\n              -90.17578124999999,\n              18.35452552912664\n            ],\n            [\n              -88.72558593749999,\n              20.46818922264095\n            ],\n            [\n              -87.275390625,\n              21.453068633086783\n            ],\n            [\n              -80.6396484375,\n              25.562265014427492\n            ]\n          ]\n        ]\n      }\n    }\n  ]\n}","noUsgsAuthors":false,"publicationStatus":"PW","scienceBaseUri":"505a1931e4b0c8380cd558dc","contributors":{"authors":[{"text":"Williams, S. The state of stress and inelastic deformation can enter explicitly into the equilibrium phase relations and kinetics of mineral reactions. Alternatively, phase transformations can have prominent effects on theology and on the nature of inelastic deformation. Our examples represent five types of structural phase changes, each of which is distinguished by particular mechanical effects. In increasing structural complexity, these include: (1)<span>&nbsp;</span><i>displacive phase transformations</i><span>&nbsp;</span>involving no bond-breaking, which may produce anomalous brittle behavior. A primary example is the<span>&nbsp;</span><i>a</i>-<i>β</i><span>&nbsp;</span>quartz transition which shows anomalously low fracture strength and tertiary creep behavior near the transition temperature; (2)<span>&nbsp;</span><i>martensitic-like transformations</i><span>&nbsp;</span>involving transformation strains dominated by shear deformation. Examples include the orthoenstatite → clinoenstatite and<span>&nbsp;</span><span class=\"math\"><span id=\"MathJax-Element-1-Frame\" class=\"MathJax_SVG\" data-mathml=\"<math xmlns=&quot;http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML&quot;><mtext>w</mtext><mtext>u</mtext><mtext>&amp;#x308;</mtext><mtext>rtzite</mtext><mtext>&amp;#x2192;</mtext><mtext>sphalerite</mtext></math>\"><span class=\"MJX_Assistive_MathML\">würtzite→sphalerite</span></span></span><span>&nbsp;</span>transformations; (3)<span>&nbsp;</span><i>coherent exsolution</i><span>&nbsp;</span>or precipitation of a mineral solute from a supersaturated solid-solution, with anisotropy of precipitation and creep rates produced under nonhydrostatic stress. Beginning on day three, it was immunosuppressed by intramuscular injections of dexamethasone. It was unexpectedly found dead on day 20, at which time it had lost 0.9 g (12.9% of initial body weight). </p><p>Gross Pathology: Despite the weight loss, the white-eye was in good flesh, with abundant subcutaneous and visceral fat. The spleen was 3 x 11 mm, about 5 times normal size. The striatum of the forebrain was congested. There were no other lesions. Histopathology: There were microscopic abnormalities in skeletal muscle, brain, and gizzard (Figs. 1 and 2; Figure 2 is from a different white-eye which had virtually identical gizzard lesions).</p>","language":"English","publisher":"U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service","usgsCitation":"Sileo, L., and Greiner, E., 1993, Diagnostic riddles: Wildlife Disease Newsletter, v. 29, no. 1, 3 p.","productDescription":"3 p.","numberOfPages":"3","onlineOnly":"N","additionalOnlineFiles":"N","costCenters":[{"id":456,"text":"National Wildlife Health Center","active":true,"usgs":true}],"links":[{"id":129422,"rank":0,"type":{"id":24,"text":"Thumbnail"},"url":"https://pubs.usgs.gov/thumbnails/outside_thumb.jpg"}],"otherGeospatial":"Saipan","geographicExtents":"{\n  \"type\": \"FeatureCollection\",\n  \"features\": [\n    {\n      \"type\": \"Feature\",\n      \"properties\": {},\n      \"geometry\": {\n        \"type\": \"Polygon\",\n        \"coordinates\": [\n          [\n            [\n              145.80917358398438,\n              15.30008112737089\n            ],\n            [\n              145.68832397460938,\n              15.208662610868245\n            ],\n            [\n              145.67733764648438,\n              15.113889978918127\n            ],\n            [\n              145.74462890625,\n              15.076764665951568\n            ],\n            [\n              145.7679748535156,\n              15.107923848482166\n            ],\n            [\n              145.8050537109375,\n              15.178180945596363\n            ],\n            [\n              145.78857421875,\n              15.21065039253651\n            ],\n            [\n              145.84625244140622,\n              15.272924708699211\n            ],\n            [\n              145.80917358398438,\n              15.30008112737089\n            ]\n          ]\n        ]\n      }\n    }\n  ]\n}","volume":"29","issue":"1","noUsgsAuthors":false,"publicationStatus":"PW","scienceBaseUri":"4f4e4aa8e4b07f02db66740e","contributors":{"authors":[{"text":"Sileo, L.","contributorId":46895,"corporation":false,"usgs":true,"family":"Sileo","given":"L.","email":"","affiliations":[],"preferred":false,"id":314307,"contributorType":{"id":1,"text":"Authors"},"rank":1},{"text":"Greiner, E.C.","contributorId":12808,"corporation":false,"usgs":true,"family":"Greiner","given":"E.C.","email":"","affiliations":[],"preferred":false,"id":314306,"contributorType":{"id":1,"text":"Authors"},"rank":2}]}}

Furthermore, lake hydrologic type proved to be a key factor in determining lake sensitivity: the low alkalinity systems were predominately seepage lakes. To test this hypothesis and identify the controls on the chemistry of these low alkalinity systems, the authors initiated hydrologic, chemical, biological and limnological studies at Lakes Clara and Vandercook in 1980. The report summarizes the results of those studies (including previously published hydrologic results) conducted between 1981 and 1983. The major goals are to assess the sensitivity of the study lakes to acid deposition and to identify key processes controlling the acid-base chemistry of these software seepage lakes.","language":"English","publisher":"Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources","publisherLocation":"Madison, WI","collaboration":"Technical bulletin no. 184 Comp&distr 1997 NTIS, Intl Copyright All Rights Re.
