Such measurements are under way in 25 wells on the Alaskan Arctic Slope; 21 are in Naval Petroleum Reserve Alaska (NPRA), and 4 are in the foothills to the east. Near-equilibrium results indicate that permafrost thickness in NPRA generally ranges between 200 and 400 m (compared to 600+ m at Prudhoe Bay); there are large local variations and no conspicuous regional trends. By contrast the long-term mean temperature of the ground surface (one factor determining permafrost depth) varies systematically from north to south in a pattern modified by the regional topography. The observed variation in permafrost temperature and depth cannot result primarily from effects of surface bodies of water or regional variations in heat flow; they are consistent, however, with expectable variations in the thermal conductivity of the sediments. It remains to be determined (with conductivity measurements) whether certain sites with anomalously high local gradients have anomalously high heat flow; if they do, they might indicate upwelling of interstitial fluids in the underlying basin sediments.","language":"ENGLISH","publisher":"U.S. Geological Survey,","doi":"10.3133/ofr821039","usgsCitation":"Lachenbruch, A.H., Sass, J., Lawver, L., Brewer, M., and Moses, T., 1982, Depth and temperature of permafrost on the Alaskan Arctic Slope; preliminary results: U.S. Geological Survey Open-File Report 82-1039, 30 p. :ill., map ;28 cm., https://doi.org/10.3133/ofr821039.","productDescription":"30 p. :ill., map ;28 cm.","costCenters":[],"links":[{"id":141344,"rank":0,"type":{"id":24,"text":"Thumbnail"},"url":"https://pubs.usgs.gov/of/1982/1039/report-thumb.jpg"},{"id":34414,"rank":300,"type":{"id":11,"text":"Document"},"url":"https://pubs.usgs.gov/of/1982/1039/report.pdf","linkFileType":{"id":1,"text":"pdf"}}],"noUsgsAuthors":false,"publicationStatus":"PW","scienceBaseUri":"4f4e4aa8e4b07f02db667a77","contributors":{"authors":[{"text":"Lachenbruch, Arthur H.","contributorId":27850,"corporation":false,"usgs":true,"family":"Lachenbruch","given":"Arthur","email":"","middleInitial":"H.","affiliations":[],"preferred":false,"id":154243,"contributorType":{"id":1,"text":"Authors"},"rank":1},{"text":"Sass, J.H.","contributorId":70749,"corporation":false,"usgs":true,"family":"Sass","given":"J.H.","email":"","affiliations":[{"id":595,"text":"U.S. Geological Survey","active":false,"usgs":true}],"preferred":false,"id":154245,"contributorType":{"id":1,"text":"Authors"},"rank":2},{"text":"Lawver, L.A.","contributorId":73599,"corporation":false,"usgs":true,"family":"Lawver","given":"L.A.","email":"","affiliations":[],"preferred":false,"id":154246,"contributorType":{"id":1,"text":"Authors"},"rank":3},{"text":"Brewer, M.C.","contributorId":54994,"corporation":false,"usgs":true,"family":"Brewer","given":"M.C.","email":"","affiliations":[],"preferred":false,"id":154244,"contributorType":{"id":1,"text":"Authors"},"rank":4},{"text":"Moses, T.H.","contributorId":24344,"corporation":false,"usgs":true,"family":"Moses","given":"T.H.","email":"","affiliations":[],"preferred":false,"id":154242,"contributorType":{"id":1,"text":"Authors"},"rank":5}]}}

The resulting data set not only represents unique information in such an environment, but also provided an opportunity to determine whether bearing capacity is controlled by any specific property of the calcarenites, or, conversely, whether the bearing-capacity value could be used as an index of a particular substrate characteristic. \r\n\r\nThe in sltu measurements were made in several subenvironments in order to bracket the variability of sediment properties throughout the area. Samples were collected at each bearing-capacity test site and w .ere analyzed for selected geological and geotechnical properties, including texture, grain shapes, and biological constituents. No relationship was found between bearing capacity and any of the analyzed properties of the sediment. Although many salient characteristics of calcarenites exist, at the stress levels used in this study their influence is either masked owing to the complex interaction of properties that leads to a specific bearing-capacity value or, at least in these sediments, is absent.","language":"ENGLISH","publisher":"U.S. Geological Survey,","doi":"10.3133/ofr82309","usgsCitation":"Booth, J., Farrow, R., Wiley, G., and Circe, R., 1982, Determination and analysis of bearing capacity of calcarenites off the Florida Keys: U.S. Geological Survey Open-File Report 82-309, 17 p., ill., map ;28 cm., https://doi.org/10.3133/ofr82309.","productDescription":"17 p., ill., map ;28 cm.","costCenters":[],"links":[{"id":140431,"rank":0,"type":{"id":24,"text":"Thumbnail"},"url":"https://pubs.usgs.gov/of/1982/0309/report-thumb.jpg"},{"id":34424,"rank":300,"type":{"id":11,"text":"Document"},"url":"https://pubs.usgs.gov/of/1982/0309/report.pdf","linkFileType":{"id":1,"text":"pdf"}}],"noUsgsAuthors":false,"publicationStatus":"PW","scienceBaseUri":"4f4e4aa8e4b07f02db66796c","contributors":{"authors":[{"text":"Booth, J.S.","contributorId":13619,"corporation":false,"usgs":true,"family":"Booth","given":"J.S.","email":"","affiliations":[],"preferred":false,"id":154296,"contributorType":{"id":1,"text":"Authors"},"rank":1},{"text":"Farrow, R.A.","contributorId":60636,"corporation":false,"usgs":true,"family":"Farrow","given":"R.A.","affiliations":[],"preferred":false,"id":154298,"contributorType":{"id":1,"text":"Authors"},"rank":2},{"text":"Wiley, G.N.","contributorId":19546,"corporation":false,"usgs":true,"family":"Wiley","given":"G.N.","email":"","affiliations":[],"preferred":false,"id":154297,"contributorType":{"id":1,"text":"Authors"},"rank":3},{"text":"Circe, R.C.","contributorId":90300,"corporation":false,"usgs":true,"family":"Circe","given":"R.C.","affiliations":[],"preferred":false,"id":154299,"contributorType":{"id":1,"text":"Authors"},"rank":4}]}}

These are designated the Wahmonie and Calico Hills sites. The emplacement medium at both sites was to be an inferred intrusive body at shallow depth; the inference of the presence of the body was based on aeromagnetic and regional gravity data. This report summarizes results of Schlumberger VES, induced polarization dipole-dipole traverses and magnetotelluric soundings made in the vicinity of the sites in order to characterize the geoelectric section. At the Wahmonie site VES work identified a low resistivity unit at depth surrounding the inferred intrusive body. The low resistivity unit is believed to be either the argillite (Mississippian Eleana Formation) or a thick unit of altered volcanic rock (Tertiary). Good electrical contrast is provided between the low resistivity unit and a large volume of intermediate resistivity rock correlative with the aeromagnetic and gravity data. The intermediate resistivity unit (100-200 ohm-m) is believed to be the intrusive body. The resistivity values are very low for a fresh, tight intrusive and suggest significant fracturing, alteration and possible mineralization have occurred within the upper kilometer of rock. Induced polarization data supports the VES work, identifies a major fault on the northwest side of the inferred intrusive and significant potential for disseminated mineralization within the body. The mineralization potential is particularly significant because as late as 1928, a strike of high grade silver-gold ore was made at the site.\r\n\r\nThe shallow electrical data at Calico Hills revealed no large volume high resistivity body that could be associated with a tight intrusive mass in the upper kilometer of section. A drill hole UE 25A-3 sunk to 762 m (2500 ft) at the site revealed only units of the Eleana argillite thermally metamorphosed below 396 m (1300 ft) and in part highly magnetic. Subsequent work has shown that much if not all of the magnetic and gravity anomalies can be attributed to the Eleana Formation. The alteration and doming, however, still argue for an intrusive but at greater depth than originally thought. The electrical, VES, and IP data show a complex picture due to variations in structure and alteration within the Eleana and surrounding volcanic units. These data do not suggest the presence of an intrusive in the upper kilometer of section. The magnetotelluric data however gives clear evidence for a thick, resistive body in the earth's crust below the site. While the interpreted depth is very poorly constrained due to noise and structural problems, the top of the resistive body is on the order of 2.5 km deep. The IP data also identifies area of increased polarizability at Calico Hills, which may also have future economic mineralization.","language":"ENGLISH","publisher":"U.S. Geological Survey,","doi":"10.3133/ofr82466","usgsCitation":"Hoover, D., Chornack, M., Nervick, K., and Broker, M., 1982, Electrical studies at the proposed Wahmonie and Calico Hills nuclear waste sites, Nevada Test Site, Nye County, Nevada: U.S. Geological Survey Open-File Report 82-466, 95 p., 5 over-size sheets, ill., maps ;28 cm., https://doi.org/10.3133/ofr82466.","productDescription":"95 p., 5 over-size sheets, ill., maps ;28 cm.","costCenters":[],"links":[{"id":142080,"rank":0,"type":{"id":24,"text":"Thumbnail"},"url":"https://pubs.usgs.gov/of/1982/0466/report-thumb.jpg"},{"id":34429,"rank":400,"type":{"id":17,"text":"Plate"},"url":"https://pubs.usgs.gov/of/1982/0466/plate-1.pdf","linkFileType":{"id":1,"text":"pdf"}},{"id":34430,"rank":401,"type":{"id":17,"text":"Plate"},"url":"https://pubs.usgs.gov/of/1982/0466/plate-2.pdf","linkFileType":{"id":1,"text":"pdf"}},{"id":34431,"rank":402,"type":{"id":17,"text":"Plate"},"url":"https://pubs.usgs.gov/of/1982/0466/plate-3.pdf","linkFileType":{"id":1,"text":"pdf"}},{"id":34432,"rank":403,"type":{"id":17,"text":"Plate"},"url":"https://pubs.usgs.gov/of/1982/0466/plate-4.pdf","linkFileType":{"id":1,"text":"pdf"}},{"id":34433,"rank":404,"type":{"id":17,"text":"Plate"},"url":"https://pubs.usgs.gov/of/1982/0466/plate-5.pdf","linkFileType":{"id":1,"text":"pdf"}},{"id":34434,"rank":300,"type":{"id":11,"text":"Document"},"url":"https://pubs.usgs.gov/of/1982/0466/report.pdf","linkFileType":{"id":1,"text":"pdf"}}],"noUsgsAuthors":false,"publicationStatus":"PW","scienceBaseUri":"4f4e4a1ae4b07f02db606e50","contributors":{"authors":[{"text":"Hoover, D.B.","contributorId":37734,"corporation":false,"usgs":true,"family":"Hoover","given":"D.B.","email":"","affiliations":[],"preferred":false,"id":154336,"contributorType":{"id":1,"text":"Authors"},"rank":1},{"text":"Chornack, Michael P.","contributorId":106902,"corporation":false,"usgs":true,"family":"Chornack","given":"Michael P.","affiliations":[],"preferred":false,"id":154339,"contributorType":{"id":1,"text":"Authors"},"rank":2},{"text":"Nervick, K.H.","contributorId":49346,"corporation":false,"usgs":true,"family":"Nervick","given":"K.H.","affiliations":[],"preferred":false,"id":154337,"contributorType":{"id":1,"text":"Authors"},"rank":3},{"text":"Broker, M. The data show that the stream at Modena and below Downingtown had periods of low dissolved oxygen, and that the stream below Downingtown had a particularly severe dissolved-oxygen deficiency from May through September 1974. The pH at all three sites exceeded 9.0 at times and the pH below Downingtown occasionally dropped below 6.0. The most critical period in the basin was from March to November when pH was most likely to exceed water-quality standards and dissolved oxygen was most likely to fall below the standards. The area is underlain by a relatively thick sequence of salt and other evaporites in the Silurian Salina Group and is a potential site for deep-storage of solid nuclear waste. A combination of remote sensing techniques, detailed geologic mapping and geophysical investigations were applied to the problem. Because of the premature termination of the Department of Energy contract, only a portion of the total work was completed. \r\n\r\nThe completed portion of the project included 1) digital contrast enhancement of several Landsat multispectral scanner (MSS) images, 2) analysis of lineament patterns from a Landsat MSS-7 mosaic, 3) field mapping of bedrock joint patterns, 4) compilation and analysis of surface and subsurface structure and isopach maps, 5) collection and digital analysis of aeromagnetic data for southern New York, 6) compilation and analysis of aeromagnetic and gravity data for much of New York and Pennsylvania, and 7) analysis of seismic reflection survey lines for selected portions of New York and Pennsylvania. \r\n\r\nWe identified eight major lineaments or lineament zones and studied them in detail. They typically represent linear alignments of the most conspicuous or prominent physiographic features observable on Landsat images. \r\n\r\nThe Cortland-Ithaca, Watkins Glen-Tanghannock, Seneca Lake-Elmira, Painted Post-Blossburg and Endicott-Syracuse conspicuous lineaments include the Corning-Bath, Van Etten-Towanda, Van Etten-Candor and Van Etten-Odessa lineaments. In addition, a major fault system--the West Danby fault zone--was further defined by geologic and geophysical investigations during our study; the fault zone was not recognizable on satellite images. The lineaments and lineament zones were categorized by their azimuthal trends. Those with a northerly orientation (e.g. Van Etten-Towanda, Seneca Lake-Elmira, Painted Post-Blossburg and Endicott-Syracuse) are most common. Northeasterly lineaments (e.g. Cortland-Ithaca and Watkins Glen-Taughannock) also are common. The Corning-Bath and Van Etten-Odessa lineaments have a northwesterly orientation and the Van Etten-Candor lineament is the sole representative of the east-west direction. The West Danby fault system also trends east-west. \r\n\r\nAll the lineaments or lineament zones studied appear to be related, in one fashion or another, to structural disturbances, because changes in the structural attitude of beds or thickness of rocks commonly occur along their extent. The changes in many instances occur on multiple stratigraphic horizons and in a manner suggestive of several different styles of tectonism, leading to the conclusion that the lineaments and lineament zones have been periodically reactivated during the Paleozoic and Mesozoic Eras. Aeromagnetic data commonly show a parallel alignment of contours juxtaposed or on line with lineaments and lineament zones, suggesting that these physiographic alignments owe their origin to features within the crystalline basement. \r\n\r\nPre-Alleghanian faulting and depositional patterns show that the study area was affected by basement-controlled adjustments along and in the same direction as most of the lineaments and lineament zones. Actual displacements cannot be proven for all of the lineaments or lineament zones, but changes in dip of the rocks across these features suggest either basement hingelines or small displacement faulting which cannot be resolved by the present data. These displacements occurred in at least Middle-Late Ordovician, Middle-Late Silurian and the Early-Middle Devonian times. \r\n\r\nThe major northeast trending lineament zones (Cortland-Ithaca and Watkins Glen-Taughannock) correspond in orientation and lie along the northeastward projection of the Rome Trough, a postulated Paleozoic aulacogen. The shoreline of the bay has adjusted to be in equilibrium with the predominant wave climate, which is from the northwest. Because of its present shoreline configuration, the net southward littoral transport found along much of the California coast does not occur within Estero Bay. Instead, the sand primarily moves on- and offshore with a reversing longshore component. This sand transport pattern produces a littoral cell within Estero Bay even though there is no submarine canyon in the area. The primary sand sinks for this cell appear to be the sand spit south of Morro Rock and the entrance to Morro Bay itself, although this opinion was not experimentally verified. \r\n\r\nField work during one summer (1978) and the following winter (1979) produced baseline data on the profile of and grain-size distribution across the littoral zone. In the offshore part of the littoral zone we also studied ripple size and type, internal structure, depth of erosion, and mineralogy. Although these data, which were collected along nine transects spaced 2 km apart, are inadequate to yield transport and energy rates, they indicate a northward decrease in wave energy within Estero Bay and a mixing of the sediments in the offshore. Box core and rod height data from grid points in seven meters of water showed that on the order of a meter of erosion occurred in the central part of the bay between the two sampling periods. Offshore, the data were incomplete, but at one station, in 17 m of water, at least 20 cm of erosion occurred.","language":"ENGLISH","publisher":"U.S. Geological Survey,","doi":"10.3133/ofr82537","usgsCitation":"Dingler, J., Anima, R.J., Molzan, D., Luepke, G., and Peterson, C., 1982, A field study of littoral processes in Estero Bay, California: U.S. Geological Survey Open-File Report 82-537, 41 p., ill., maps ;28 cm., https://doi.org/10.3133/ofr82537.","productDescription":"41 p., ill., maps ;28 cm.","costCenters":[],"links":[{"id":141541,"rank":0,"type":{"id":24,"text":"Thumbnail"},"url":"https://pubs.usgs.gov/of/1982/0537/report-thumb.jpg"},{"id":34445,"rank":300,"type":{"id":11,"text":"Document"},"url":"https://pubs.usgs.gov/of/1982/0537/report.pdf","linkFileType":{"id":1,"text":"pdf"}}],"noUsgsAuthors":false,"publicationStatus":"PW","scienceBaseUri":"4f4e4b24e4b07f02db6aeb7a","contributors":{"authors":[{"text":"Dingler, J.R.","contributorId":64247,"corporation":false,"usgs":true,"family":"Dingler","given":"J.R.","email":"","affiliations":[],"preferred":false,"id":154444,"contributorType":{"id":1,"text":"Authors"},"rank":1},{"text":"Anima, R. In one of these hypotheses it is suggested that the deposits resulted from geochemical reactions at the interface between a relatively stagnant groundwater solution and a dynamic, ore-carrying groundwater solution which permeated the host sandstones (Shawe, 1956; Granger, et al., 1961; Granger, 1968, 1976; and Granger and Warren, 1979). The study described here was designed to investigate some aspects of this hypothesis, particularly the nature of fluid flow in sands and sandstones, the nature and distribution of deposits, and the relations between the deposits and the host sandstones. \r\n\r\nThe investigation, which was divided into three phases, involved physical model, field, and computer simulation studies. During the initial phase of the investigation, physical model studies were conducted in porous-media flumes. These studies verified the fact that humic acid precipitates could form at the interface between a humic acid solution and a potassium aluminum sulfate solution and that the nature and distribution of these precipitates were related to flow phenomena and to the nature and distribution of the host porous-media. During the second phase of the investigation field studies of permeability and porosity patterns in Holocene stream deposits were investigated and the data obtained were used to design more realistic porous media models. These model studies, which simulated actual stream deposits, demonstrated that precipitates possess many characteristics, in terms of their nature and relation to host sandstones, that are similar to ore deposits of the Colorado Plateau. \r\n\r\nThe final phase of the investigation involved field studies of actual deposits, additional model studies in a large indoor flume, and computer simulation studies. The field investigations provided an up-to-date interpretation of the depositional environments of the host sandstones in the Slick Rock District and data on the nature and distribution of the ore deposits which are found to be directly related to the architecture of the host sandstones which acted as conduits for the transport of mineralized groundwaters. Large-scale model studies, designed to simulate Grants Mineral Belt deposits, demonstrated that precipitates had characteristics similar to those of actual uranium deposits and data obtained from these studies strongly supported the hypothesis that the ores formed soon after deposition of the host sandstones and that their distribution was largely controlled by permeability and porosity patterns established at the time of deposition of the host sandstones. \r\n\r\nA numerical model was developed during the second and third stages of the investigation that can predict favorable locations for mineralization given sufficient data on porosity, hydraulic conductivity, the distribution and thickness of sandstone hosts, and an estimate of the initial hydrologic conditions. The model was successfully tested using data from the Slick Rock District.","language":"ENGLISH","publisher":"U.S. Geological Survey,","doi":"10.3133/ofr82589","usgsCitation":"Ethridge, F., Sunada, D., Tyler, N., and Andrews, S., 1982, Field, model, and computer simulation study of some aspects of the origin and distribution of Colorado Plateau-type uranium deposits: U.S. Geological Survey Open-File Report 82-589, 56 p., ill., maps ;28 cm., https://doi.org/10.3133/ofr82589.","productDescription":"56 p., ill., maps ;28 cm.","costCenters":[],"links":[{"id":141542,"rank":0,"type":{"id":24,"text":"Thumbnail"},"url":"https://pubs.usgs.gov/of/1982/0589/report-thumb.jpg"},{"id":34446,"rank":300,"type":{"id":11,"text":"Document"},"url":"https://pubs.usgs.gov/of/1982/0589/report.pdf","linkFileType":{"id":1,"text":"pdf"}}],"noUsgsAuthors":false,"publicationStatus":"PW","scienceBaseUri":"4f4e49bde4b07f02db5d0bc1","contributors":{"authors":[{"text":"Ethridge, F.G.","contributorId":42211,"corporation":false,"usgs":true,"family":"Ethridge","given":"F.G.","email":"","affiliations":[],"preferred":false,"id":154448,"contributorType":{"id":1,"text":"Authors"},"rank":1},{"text":"Sunada, D.K.","contributorId":87940,"corporation":false,"usgs":true,"family":"Sunada","given":"D.K.","email":"","affiliations":[],"preferred":false,"id":154449,"contributorType":{"id":1,"text":"Authors"},"rank":2},{"text":"Tyler, Noel","contributorId":16010,"corporation":false,"usgs":true,"family":"Tyler","given":"Noel","email":"","affiliations":[],"preferred":false,"id":154447,"contributorType":{"id":1,"text":"Authors"},"rank":3},{"text":"Andrews, Sarah","contributorId":104059,"corporation":false,"usgs":true,"family":"Andrews","given":"Sarah","email":"","affiliations":[],"preferred":false,"id":154450,"contributorType":{"id":1,"text":"Authors"},"rank":4}]}}

A new biostratigraphic analysis, using calcareous nannofossils, of the Fripp Island, S.C., well and reinterpretations of the Clubhouse Crossroads corehole 1, South Carolina, and other wells in South Carolina, Georgia, and northernmost Florida have made possible the comparison and reevaluation of stratigraphic interpretations of the region made by G. S. Gohn and others in 1978 and 1980 and by P. M. Brown and others in 1979. The present study indicates that within the Upper Cretaceous section the stratigraphic units formerly assigned a Cenomanian (Eaglefordian and Woodbinian) age are Coniacian (Austinian) and Turonian (Eaglefordian) in age. A previously described hiatus encompassing Coniacian and Turonian time is not present. More likely, a hiatus is probably present in the upper Turonian, and major gaps in the record are present within the Cenomanian and between the Upper Cretaceous and the pre-Cretaceous basement. \r\n\r\nAfter an erosional episode in Cenomanian time that affected the section beneath eastern Georgia and South Carolina, Upper Cretaceous marine clastic and carbonate rocks were deposited on a regionally subsiding margin that extended to the present Blake Escarpment. In contrast, during Cenozoic time, especially in the Eocene, subsidence and sedimentation rates were uneven across the margin. A thick progradational sequence of carbonate rocks accumulated in the Southeast Georgia Embayment and also built the present Continental Shelf, whereas farther offshore a much thinner layer of sediments was deposited on the Blake Plateau. \r\n\r\nThere is no general agreement on the exact placement of the Cenomanian-Turonian boundary in Europe or the United States Western Interior, and the widespread Sciponoceras gracile ammonite zone represents an interval of equivocal age between accepted Cenomanian and Turonian strata. The extinction of the foraminifer genus Rotalipora took place within the Sciporwceras gracile zone; it is used here to identify the Cenomanian-Turonian boundary. \r\n\r\nPollen zone IV (Complexiopollis-Atlantopollis assemblage zone) is an important and widespread biostratigraphic unit characterized by a distinctive spore and pollen flora. It is consistently associated with lower Turonian calcareous nannofossils on the Atlantic continental margin; these nannofossil assemblages are also present in pollen zone IV, in strata that encompass the Sciponoceras gracile zone and the lower part of the Mytiloides labiatus zone in the Gulf Coastal Plain at Dallas, Tex.","language":"ENGLISH","publisher":"U.S. G.P.O.,","doi":"10.3133/pp1222","usgsCitation":"Valentine, P.C., 1982, Upper Cretaceous subsurface stratigraphy and structure of coastal Georgia and South Carolina: U.S. Geological Survey Professional Paper 1222, 33 p., https://doi.org/10.3133/pp1222.","productDescription":"33 p.","costCenters":[],"links":[{"id":125091,"rank":0,"type":{"id":24,"text":"Thumbnail"},"url":"https://pubs.usgs.gov/pp/1222/report-thumb.jpg"},{"id":33868,"rank":300,"type":{"id":11,"text":"Document"},"url":"https://pubs.usgs.gov/pp/1222/report.pdf","linkFileType":{"id":1,"text":"pdf"}}],"noUsgsAuthors":false,"publicationStatus":"PW","scienceBaseUri":"4f4e4a23e4b07f02db60d354","contributors":{"authors":[{"text":"Valentine, Page C. 0000-0002-0485-6266 pvalentine@usgs.gov","orcid":"https://orcid.org/0000-0002-0485-6266","contributorId":1947,"corporation":false,"usgs":true,"family":"Valentine","given":"Page","email":"pvalentine@usgs.gov","middleInitial":"C.","affiliations":[{"id":678,"text":"Woods Hole Coastal and Marine Science Center","active":true,"usgs":true}],"preferred":true,"id":152740,"contributorType":{"id":1,"text":"Authors"},"rank":1}]}}
