The model area includes about 600 square miles in Paradise Valley and the adjoining Salt River Valley. In 1975 about 37,500 acre-feet of ground water was withdrawn for irrigation in the Salt River Indian Reservation. The proposed well field would withdraw as much as 45,000 acre-feet per year of additional irrigation water north of the Arizona Canal. The model was calibrated by using measured water-level declines for 1923-76 and simulated declines for 1946-75. The calibrated model was then used to predict water-level declines, based on projected amounts of pumpage, after 20 years of pumping. The rate of water-level decline would be an additional 2 to 6 feet per year in existing wells after 20 years of pumping in the proposed well field. The model was more sensitive to changes in pumpage distribution and in pumpage and recharge amounts than to changes in transmissivity and specific yield. S. Geological Survey (USGS) is making available four multi­channel profiles collected by Teledyne Exploration in 1977 by means of a 48-channel streamer (3600 m long) and four airguns (2160 in). Profiles 15 and 16 were processed by.Teledyne Exploration and profiles 14 and 17 were processed on the Phoenix \"I\"* computer·by the USGS. The processing included standard demultiplexing, deconvolution before and aftfer stack, Common Depth Point (CDP) gathers, velocity analyses every 3 km, move-out correction, stacking, time-variant, filtering, and time-variant scaling.</p><p>The released lines are over the outer edge of the Continental Shelf in the northern part of the Baltimore Canyon trough (Line 14: 140 km long and Line 15: 157 km long), over the Long Island platform. (Line 16: 313 km long), and over the Carolina platform (Line 17: 186 km long). These profiles were collected as a part of a regional grid over offshore Atlantic sedimentary basins in a continuing program to assess the resource potential by means of nonproprietary data.</p><p>These profiles, plus the velocity scans and shotpoint maps, may be viewed at U. S. Geological Survey, Quissett Campus, Woods Hole, MA. 02543, and U. S. Geological Survey, Bldg. 25, Denver Federal Center, Denver, CO. These data have been reexamined which resulted in some revisions of epicenters and intensities as well as assignment of intensities to earthquakes that previously had none assigned. Intensity values were updated from new and additional data sources that were not available at the time of original compilation. Some epicenters were relocated on the basis of new information. The data shown in table 1 are estimates of the most accurate epicenter, magnitude, and intensity of each earthquake, on the basis of historical and current information. Some of the aftershocks from large earthquakes are listed but are incomplete in many instances, especially for the ones that occurred before seismic instruments were in universal United States (Algermissen, 1969) which have been recompiled and updated through 1977. &nbsp;These data have been reexamined which resulted in some revisions of epicenters and intensities as well as assignment of intensities to earthquakes that previously had none assigened. &nbsp;Intensity values were updated from new and additional data soureces that were not available at the time of original compilation. &nbsp;Some epicenters were relocated on the basis of new informaition. &nbsp;The data shown in table 1 are estimates of the most accurate epicenter, magnitude, and intensity of each earthquake, on the basis of historical and current information. &nbsp;Some of the aftershocks from large earthquakes are listed but are incomplete in many instances, especialy for ones that occurred
