These species have been regarded as members of an Oryzomys capito complex and for a long time were consolidated into a single entity identified as O. capito.  Our study documents the following:  1.  Defining the limits of species within the O. capito complex first requires a comprehensive review and rigorous definition of O. capito itself.  We consider Fischer's (1814) Mus megacephalus to be valid and available, designate a neotype to bear the name, and reinstate it as a senior synonym of capito Olfers (1818).  We then provide a working definition of O. megacephalus and its close relative, O. laticeps, derived from analyses of morphometric variation, estimates of geographic distributions, and evaluations of synonyms.  In our view, O. megacephalus occurs in Amazonia but also extends into eastern Paraguay; its synonyms are capito Olfers (1818), cephalotes Desmarest (1819), velutinus Allen and Chapman (1893), goeldi Thomas (1897), modestus Allen (1899), and perenensis Allen (1901).  Oryzomys laticeps Lund (1840) occurs in the Atlantic Forest region of eastern Brazil.  We designate a lectotype for laticeps and allocate the names saltator Winge (1887) and oniscus Thomas (1904) as synonyms.         2.  We provide the first comprehensive taxonomic revision of Oryzomys yunganus Thomas (1902).  Its range covers tropical evergreen rainforest formations in the Guiana region and the Amazon Basin where, as documented by voucher specimens, it has been collected at the same localities as O. megacephalus, O. nitidus, and O. tern of carotid arterial circulation, occlusal patterns of second upper and lower molars, cranial proportions, and chromosomal features.  Appreciable intraspecific geographic variation occurs in diploid number of chromosomes and frequency of occurrence of the hypothenar plantar pad, but sampling inadequacies obscure the significance of this variation.  Large body size is characteristic of populations in the western Amazon Basin and in the tepui region of eastern Venezuela; smaller size characterizes populations in the Guianas and along the eastern margin of the Amazon Basin.  No other scientific name has been correctly associated with the species.  Samples from Mirador, Palmera, and Mera in the western Andean foothills of central Ecuador possess a combination of pelage, cranial, and dental traits that distinguish them from all samples of O. yunganus.  These specimens are the basis for a new species we describe here, one that is more closely related to O. yunganus than to any other member of the former O. 'capito' complex.       3.  We redescribe Oryzomys bolivaris (reviewed by Pine, 1971, under the name O. bombycinus), amplify its geographic range, and contrast it with O. talamancae and O. alfaroi, two sympatric congeners often confused with it.  A distinctive set of morphological traits allows unambiguous identification of specimens belonging to O. bolivaris.  It is a trans-Andean species recorded from very wet tropical evergreen rainforests extending from eastern Honduras and Nicaragua through Costa Rica and Panama to western Colombia and Ecuador.  Allen's (1901) bolivaris is the oldest name for this species; castaneus Allen (1901), rivularis Allen (1901), bombycinus Goldman (1912), alleni Goldman (1915), and orinus Pearson (1939) are synonyms.       4.  We revise the definition of Oryzomys talamancae Allen (1891) provided by Musser and Williams (1985), document additional specimens, describe karyotypes from Ecuadoran and Venezuelan samples, and contrast its morphology, chromosomes, and distribution with those of O. alfaroi and O. megacephalus.  The geographic distribution of O. talamancae is also trans-Andean, but it inh","language":"English","usgsCitation":"Musser, G., Carleton, M., Brothers, E., and Gardner, A.L., 1998, Systematic studies of Oryzomyine rodents (Muridae, Sigmodontinae): diagnoses and distributions of species formerly assigned to Oryzomys 'capito': Bulletin of the American Museum of Natural History No. 236., 376.","productDescription":"376","costCenters":[{"id":531,"text":"Patuxent Wildlife Research Center","active":true,"usgs":true}],"links":[{"id":200997,"rank":0,"type":{"id":24,"text":"Thumbnail"},"url":"https://pubs.usgs.gov/thumbnails/outside_thumb.jpg"}],"noUsgsAuthors":false,"publicationStatus":"PW","scienceBaseUri":"4f4e4adfe4b07f02db687909","contributors":{"authors":[{"text":"Musser, G.G.","contributorId":78849,"corporation":false,"usgs":true,"family":"Musser","given":"G.G.","email":"","affiliations":[],"preferred":false,"id":327104,"contributorType":{"id":1,"text":"Authors"},"rank":1},{"text":"Carleton, M.D.","contributorId":106597,"corporation":false,"usgs":true,"family":"Carleton","given":"M.D.","email":"","affiliations":[],"preferred":false,"id":327107,"contributorType":{"id":1,"text":"Authors"},"rank":2},{"text":"Brothers, E.M.","contributorId":91597,"corporation":false,"usgs":true,"family":"Brothers","given":"E.M.","email":"","affiliations":[],"preferred":false,"id":327105,"contributorType":{"id":1,"text":"Authors"},"rank":3},{"text":"Gardner, A. We studied the species in Manu National Park, Madre de Dios, Peru.  In this area the species occupies riparian zones along lowland meander rivers as well as adjacent transition zone forest in the floodplain.  These habitats have a number of age-related longitudinal zones (parallel to the river margin) that are short term (I-2 year) transitory stages in the succession to floodplain forest.  The fast growing plant species that make up these habitats are suitable for commercial harvest for paper pulp.  We examined habitat use of the species in an attempt to identify the effects of such harvest and resulting habitat loss on these birds.  The Alder Flycatcher favours two longitudinal zones where it establishes territories. The territories may be long-term or transitory, and are often occupied and defended by two individuals, generally of different age.  One bird tends to be more active in territory defence than the other.  Defence involves patrolling, vocal duels, and chases. Birds sally for insects but also eat large quantities of fruit.","largerWorkType":{"id":4,"text":"Book"},"largerWorkTitle":"Proceedings 22nd International Ornithological Congress, Durban 16-22 August 1998, Abstracts of oral presentations and posters","largerWorkSubtype":{"id":4,"text":"Other Government Series"},"language":"English","usgsCitation":"Foster, M., 1998, Ecology and behaviour of the Alder Flycatcher Empidonax alnorum, Tyrannidae in winter, chap. <i>of</i> Proceedings 22nd International Ornithological Congress, Durban 16-22 August 1998, Abstracts of oral presentations and posters.","startPage":"284 (abstr","costCenters":[{"id":531,"text":"Patuxent Wildlife Research Center","active":true,"usgs":true}],"links":[{"id":201401,"rank":0,"type":{"id":24,"text":"Thumbnail"},"url":"https://pubs.usgs.gov/thumbnails/outside_thumb.jpg"}],"noUsgsAuthors":false,"publicationStatus":"PW","scienceBaseUri":"4f4e4a4ee4b07f02db627b4d","contributors":{"editors":[{"text":"Adams, N.J.","contributorId":112031,"corporation":false,"usgs":true,"family":"Adams","given":"N.J.","email":"","affiliations":[],"preferred":false,"id":507511,"contributorType":{"id":2,"text":"Editors"},"rank":1},{"text":"Slotow, R.H.","contributorId":113203,"corporation":false,"usgs":true,"family":"Slotow","given":"R.H.","affiliations":[],"preferred":false,"id":507512,"contributorType":{"id":2,"text":"Editors"},"rank":2}],"authors":[{"text":"Foster, M.","contributorId":16777,"corporation":false,"usgs":true,"family":"Foster","given":"M.","email":"","affiliations":[],"preferred":false,"id":329840,"contributorType":{"id":1,"text":"Authors"},"rank":1}]}}

Fifteen haplotypes were identified among 86 individuals from Florida, Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic, Mexico, Colombia, Venezuela, Guyana and Brazil. Despite the manatee's ability to move thousands of kilometres along continental margins, strong population separations between most locations were demonstrated with significant haplotype frequency shifts. These findings are consistent with tagging studies which indicate that stretches of open water and unsuitable coastal habitats constitute substantial barriers to gene flow and colonization. Low levels of genetic diversity within Florida and Brazilian samples might be explained by recent colonization into high latitudes or bottleneck effects. Three distinctive mtDNA lineages were observed in an intraspecific phylogeny of T. manatus, corresponding approximately to: (i) Florida and the West Indies; (ii) the Gulf of Mexico to the Caribbean rivers of South America; and (iii) the northeast Atlantic coast of South America. These lineages, which are not concordant with previous subspecies designations, are separated by sequence divergence estimates of d = 0.04-0.07, approximately the same level of divergence observed between T. manatus and the Amazonian manatee (T. inunguis, n = 16). Three individuals from Guyana, identified as T. manatus, had mtDNA haplotypes which are affiliated with the endemic Amazon form T. inunguis. The three primary T. manatus lineages and the T. inunguis lineage may represent relatively deep phylogeographic partitions which have been bridged recently due to changes in habitat availability (after the Wisconsin glacial period, 10 000 BP), natural colonization, and human-mediated transplantation.","largerWorkType":{"id":2,"text":"Article"},"largerWorkTitle":"Molecular Ecology","largerWorkSubtype":{"id":10,"text":"Journal Article"},"language":"English","doi":"10.1046/j.1365-294x.1998.00430.x","issn":"09621083","usgsCitation":"Garcia-Rodriguez, A.I., Bowen, B., Domning, D., Mignucci-Giannoni, A.A., Marmontel, M., Montoya-Ospina, R.A., Morales-Vela, B., Rudin, M., Bonde, R., and McGuire, P., 1998, Phylogeography of the West Indian manatee (Trichechus manatus): How many populations and how many taxa?: Molecular Ecology, v. 7, no. 9, p. 1137-1149, https://doi.org/10.1046/j.1365-294x.1998.00430.x.","startPage":"1137","endPage":"1149","numberOfPages":"13","costCenters":[],"links":[{"id":206055,"rank":9999,"type":{"id":10,"text":"Digital Object Identifier"},"url":"https://dx.doi.org/10.1046/j.1365-294x.1998.00430.x"},{"id":228117,"rank":0,"type":{"id":24,"text":"Thumbnail"},"url":"https://pubs.usgs.gov/thumbnails/outside_thumb.jpg"}],"volume":"7","issue":"9","noUsgsAuthors":false,"publicationDate":"2002-02-28","publicationStatus":"PW","scienceBaseUri":"505a7a60e4b0c8380cd78e94","contributors":{"authors":[{"text":"Garcia-Rodriguez, A. The studied area has been separated into two subregions in order to investigate lateral variations in the attenuation parameters. Coda-Q-1 (Q(c)-1) has been obtained using the single-scattering theory. The contribution of the intrinsic absorption (Q(i)-1) and scattering (Q(s)-1) to total attenuation (Q(t)-1) has been estimated by means of a multiple lapse time window method, based on the hypothesis of multiple isotropic scattering with uniform distribution of scatterers. Results show significant spatial variations of attenuation: the estimates for intermediate depth events and for shallow events present major differences. This fact may be related to different tectonic characteristics that may be due to the presence of the Lesser Antilles subduction zone, because the intermediate depth seismic zone may be coincident with the southern continuation of the subducting slab under the arc.","largerWorkType":{"id":2,"text":"Article"},"largerWorkTitle":"Pure and Applied Geophysics","largerWorkSubtype":{"id":10,"text":"Journal Article"},"language":"English","issn":"00334553","usgsCitation":"Ugalde, F., Pujades, L., Canas, J., and Villasenor, A., 1998, Estimation of the intrinsic absorption and scattering attenuation in Northeastern Venezuela (Southeastern Caribbean) using coda waves: Pure and Applied Geophysics, v. 153, no. 2-4, p. 685-702.","startPage":"685","endPage":"702","numberOfPages":"18","costCenters":[],"links":[{"id":231440,"rank":0,"type":{"id":24,"text":"Thumbnail"},"url":"https://pubs.usgs.gov/thumbnails/outside_thumb.jpg"}],"volume":"153","issue":"2-4","noUsgsAuthors":false,"publicationStatus":"PW","scienceBaseUri":"505a0bb7e4b0c8380cd52846","contributors":{"authors":[{"text":"Ugalde, F.","contributorId":84536,"corporation":false,"usgs":true,"family":"Ugalde","given":"F.","email":"","affiliations":[],"preferred":false,"id":385845,"contributorType":{"id":1,"text":"Authors"},"rank":1},{"text":"Pujades, L.G.","contributorId":28038,"corporation":false,"usgs":true,"family":"Pujades","given":"L.G.","email":"","affiliations":[],"preferred":false,"id":385842,"contributorType":{"id":1,"text":"Authors"},"rank":2},{"text":"Canas, J.A.","contributorId":62371,"corporation":false,"usgs":true,"family":"Canas","given":"J.A.","email":"","affiliations":[],"preferred":false,"id":385844,"contributorType":{"id":1,"text":"Authors"},"rank":3},{"text":"Villasenor, A.","contributorId":52733,"corporation":false,"usgs":true,"family":"Villasenor","given":"A.","affiliations":[],"preferred":false,"id":385843,"contributorType":{"id":1,"text":"Authors"},"rank":4}]}}

The U-Pb ages reflect individual magmatic or metamorphic events, the Sm-Nd model ages reflect average crustal-residence ages of the sediment sources. Together they allow delineation of the crust-formation history of the basement precursors of the sediments. The U-Pb ages range from 2.83 to 0.15 Ga, and most are concordant or nearly so. Discrete age groupings occur at ??? 2.8, ??? 2.1, and ??? 1.1 Ga. The oldest group contains only three samples but is isolated from its closest neighbors by a ??? 600 Ma age gap. Larger age groupings at ??? 2.1 and ??? 1.1 Ga make up about a third and a quarter of the total number of analyses, respectively. The remaining analyses scatter along concordia, and most are younger than 1.6 Ga. The ??? 2.8 and ??? 2.1 Ga ages correspond to periods of crust formation of the Imataca and Trans-Amazonian provinces of the Guyana Shield, respectively, and record intervals of short but intensive continental growth. These ages coincide with ??? 2.9 and ??? 2.1 Ga Nd model ages of sediments from tributaries draining the Archean and Proterozoic provinces of the Guyana Shield, respectively, indicating that the U-Pb ages record the geological history of the crystalline basement of the Orinoco basin. Zircons with ages corresponding to the major orogenies of the North Atlantic continents (the Superior at ??? 2.7 Ga and Hudsonian at 1.7-1.9 Ga) were not found in the Orinoco sample. The age distribution may indicate that South and North America were separated throughout their history. Nd model ages of sediments from the lower Orinoco River and Andean tributaries are ??? 1.9 Ga, broadly within the range displayed by major rivers and dusts. This age does not coincide with known thermal events in the region and reflects mixing of sources with different crust-formation ages. The igneous and metamorphic history of these sources, as recorded by the detrital zircons, is that of the Orinoco basin basement. This implies that, despite evidence of fast sedimentary recycling, global similarities in Nd crustal-residence ages, and the probability of cross-continent mixing through continental drift, the sedimentary material carried by individual rivers is mainly derived from the crystalline basement in the basin. The global semblance in Nd isotope ratios in major river sediments and atmospheric dusts results from the averaging effect of large-scale sampling of the continents, which are heterogeneous in age on smaller regional scales. A large portion of the continental crust in the Orinoco basin formed during the Trans-Amazonian orogeny at 2.0-2.1 Ga, and smaller portions formed both earlier, at ??? 2.8 Ga, and later, after 1.6 Ga. These observations, which are consistent with the relative sizes of crustal age provinces in the Orinoco basin, indicate that sediments from the lower Orinoco and Andean tributaries contain 25-35% of material added to the crust since Trans-Amazonian times. Nd model ages of these sediments underestimate the average crust-formation age of the basement of the Orinoco basin by only about 10%. If this relationship holds in other river basins, then Nd model ages of major rivers and wind blown particulates indicate that the mean age of the continental crust is ??? 1.9-2 Ga. ?? 1997 Elsevier Science B.V.","largerWorkType":{"id":2,"text":"Article"},"largerWorkTitle":"Chemical Geology","largerWorkSubtype":{"id":10,"text":"Journal Article"},"language":"English","publisher":"Elsevier","doi":"10.1016/S0009-2541(97)00039-9","issn":"00092541","usgsCitation":"Goldstein, S., Arndt, N., and Stallard, R., 1997, The history of a continent from U-Pb ages of zircons from Orinoco River sand and Sm-Nd isotopes in Orinoco basin river sediments: Chemical Geology, v. 139, no. 1-4, p. 271-286, https://doi.org/10.1016/S0009-2541(97)00039-9.","startPage":"271","endPage":"286","numberOfPages":"16","costCenters":[],"links":[{"id":479993,"rank":1,"type":{"id":40,"text":"Open Access Publisher Index Page"},"url":"https://doi.org/10.1016/s0009-2541(97)00039-9","text":"Publisher Index Page"},{"id":266041,"type":{"id":10,"text":"Digital Object Identifier"},"url":"https://dx.doi.org/10.1016/S0009-2541(97)00039-9"},{"id":228020,"rank":0,"type":{"id":24,"text":"Thumbnail"},"url":"https://pubs.usgs.gov/thumbnails/outside_thumb.jpg"}],"volume":"139","issue":"1-4","noUsgsAuthors":false,"publicationStatus":"PW","scienceBaseUri":"505bacbbe4b08c986b3236da","contributors":{"authors":[{"text":"Goldstein, S.L.","contributorId":40357,"corporation":false,"usgs":true,"family":"Goldstein","given":"S.L.","email":"","affiliations":[],"preferred":false,"id":383885,"contributorType":{"id":1,"text":"Authors"},"rank":1},{"text":"Arndt, N.T.","contributorId":95887,"corporation":false,"usgs":true,"family":"Arndt","given":"N.T.","email":"","affiliations":[],"preferred":false,"id":383886,"contributorType":{"id":1,"text":"Authors"},"rank":2},{"text":"Stallard, R.F.","contributorId":30247,"corporation":false,"usgs":true,"family":"Stallard","given":"R.F.","email":"","affiliations":[],"preferred":false,"id":383884,"contributorType":{"id":1,"text":"Authors"},"rank":3}]}}

Today, and throughout much of the Holocene, the entire region receives its principal moisture in the summer from an interaction of easterly trade winds with the equatorial calms. Glacial records from sites east of 95?? W in Guatemala, Florida, northern Venezuela and Colombia record dry conditions before 12 ka, however. West of 95?? W, glacial conditions were moister than in the Holocene. Cold Gulf of Mexico sea-surface temperatures and reduced strength of the equatorial calms can explain arid full and late glacial environments east of 95?? The smaller Chaco basin also is discussed, although in less detail. Preliminary estimates of undiscovered hydrocarbons in the five basins are 0.228 billion barrels of oil (BBO) and 11.870 trillion cubic feet of gas (TCFG). Because the mean values originally estimated by the World Energy Resources Program at the U.S. Geological Survey appear to be low when viewed in light of the recent (1983-1993) history of petroleum reserves in South America, the mean values were revised upward based on the original identified reserves. The recalculated mean values are 10.18 BBO and 20.52 TCFG. In general, exploration in these basins is in an immature stage. The Solimoes basin has the greatest initial estimated undiscovered reserves of oil (0.04 BBO), and the Parana basin has the greatest initial estimated undiscovered reserves of gas (5.08 TCFG). The most important plays in the Solimoes and structurally similar Amazonas basins are the fold and fault closures associated with the wrench systems found in the basins. The plays in the Parana basin are limited to possible structural traps linked to faultassociated closures, and possibly to some wrench-related features.</p></div>","language":"English","publisher":"Taylor and Francis","doi":"10.1080/00206819509465435","issn":"00206814","usgsCitation":"Kingston, J., and Matzko, J., 1995, Undiscovered petroleum of the Brazilian interior sag basins: International Geology Review, v. 37, no. 11, p. 959-980, https://doi.org/10.1080/00206819509465435.","productDescription":"22 p.","startPage":"959","endPage":"980","numberOfPages":"22","costCenters":[],"links":[{"id":227183,"rank":1,"type":{"id":24,"text":"Thumbnail"},"url":"https://pubs.usgs.gov/thumbnails/outside_thumb.jpg"}],"volume":"37","issue":"11","noUsgsAuthors":false,"publicationDate":"2010-07-06","publicationStatus":"PW","scienceBaseUri":"505bbc71e4b08c986b328c1d","contributors":{"authors":[{"text":"Kingston, J.","contributorId":42726,"corporation":false,"usgs":true,"family":"Kingston","given":"J.","email":"","affiliations":[],"preferred":false,"id":380692,"contributorType":{"id":1,"text":"Authors"},"rank":1},{"text":"Matzko, J.R.","contributorId":56653,"corporation":false,"usgs":true,"family":"Matzko","given":"J.R.","email":"","affiliations":[],"preferred":false,"id":380693,"contributorType":{"id":1,"text":"Authors"},"rank":2}]}}

Nesting events are roughly 3 yr apart. Nests are used during and after intensive manipulation of the surrounding habitat, and minimum distance between active sites was 3-5 km. In nine nesting sites along a 100-km stretch of the Imalaca Mountains in Venezuela, we fitted five fledglings with satellite-tracked tags from NASA. One of these birds was hacked with the help of the loggers who destroyed its nest. All these nests were active while logging ensued. Out of three renesting attempts, one failed when the nest collapsed. We salvaged two additional fledglings found in captivity. We are monitoring five nests in the buffer area of the Darien National Park in Panama, all within 3 km of human settlements where trees are regularly felled for firewood, lumber, and to clear more cropland. Eagles have been killed at two sites, a third site remains inactive since 1991, and the other two nests currently have fledglings.","largerWorkType":{"id":2,"text":"Article"},"largerWorkTitle":"Journal of Raptor Research","largerWorkSubtype":{"id":10,"text":"Journal Article"},"language":"English","collaboration":"Abstracts of presentations made at the annual meeting of the Raptor Research Foundation, Inc., held at Charlotte, North Carolina, on 3-7 November 1993","usgsCitation":"Alvarez, E., and Ellis, D.H., 1994, Harpy eagle (Harpia harpyja) nesting in manipulated forests: Journal of Raptor Research, v. 28, no. 1.","productDescription":"51 (abstract)","startPage":"51 (abs)","costCenters":[{"id":531,"text":"Patuxent Wildlife Research Center","active":true,"usgs":true}],"links":[{"id":16344,"rank":300,"type":{"id":11,"text":"Document"},"url":"https://elibrary.unm.edu/sora/jrr/v028n01/p00045-p00071.pdf","linkFileType":{"id":1,"text":"pdf"}},{"id":194223,"rank":0,"type":{"id":24,"text":"Thumbnail"},"url":"https://pubs.usgs.gov/thumbnails/outside_thumb.jpg"}],"volume":"28","issue":"1","noUsgsAuthors":false,"publicationStatus":"PW","scienceBaseUri":"4f4e4a70e4b07f02db6410a6","contributors":{"authors":[{"text":"Alvarez, E.","contributorId":79186,"corporation":false,"usgs":true,"family":"Alvarez","given":"E.","affiliations":[],"preferred":false,"id":336733,"contributorType":{"id":1,"text":"Authors"},"rank":1},{"text":"Ellis, D. (TECMIN), a Venezuelan Government-owned mining and mineral exploration company. The agreement covered cooperative work carried out in the Precambrian Shield of southern Venezuela during 1987-1991 and included a geologic and mineral resource inventory, technology transfer, and scientific training (Wynn and others, in press). The Precambrian Guayana Shield (Escudo de Guyana, not to be confused with the neighboring country of Guyana) includes some of the oldest known rocks in the world (Mendoza, 1977) and also covers parts of neighboring Guyana, Surinam, French Guiana, Columbia, and Brazil. In Venezuela, it underlies most of Bolivar state and all of the Amazonas Federal Territory (see index map).","language":"English","publisher":"U.S. Geological Survey","publisherLocation":"Reston, VA","doi":"10.3133/mf2245","usgsCitation":"Wynn, J.C., Olmore, S.D., Mendoza, V., Garcia, A., Rendon, I., Estanga, Y., Rincon, H., Martinez, F., Lugo, E., Rivero, N., and Schruben, P.G., 1994, Geologic map of the Venezuela part of the Puerto Ayacucho 2 degrees x 3 degrees Quadrangle, Amazonas Federal Territory, Venezuela: U.S. Geological Survey Miscellaneous Field Studies Map 2245, Map: 41.51 x 26.74 inches, https://doi.org/10.3133/mf2245.","productDescription":"Map: 41.51 x 26.74 inches","costCenters":[],"links":[{"id":183855,"rank":0,"type":{"id":24,"text":"Thumbnail"},"url":"https://pubs.usgs.gov/thumbnails/mf2245.png"},{"id":284454,"type":{"id":17,"text":"Plate"},"url":"https://pubs.usgs.gov/mf/2245/plate-1.pdf"}],"scale":"500000","projection":"Equidistant Conic Projection","country":"Venezuela","city":"Puerto Ayacucho","otherGeospatial":"Amazonas Federal Territory","geographicExtents":"{ \"type\": \"FeatureCollection\", \"features\": [ { \"type\": \"Feature\", \"properties\": {}, \"geometry\": { \"type\": \"Polygon\", \"coordinates\": [ [ [ -68.0,4.0 ], [ -68.0,6.0 ], [ -66.0,6.0 ], [ -66.0,4.0 ], [ -68.0,4.0 ] ] ] } } ] }","noUsgsAuthors":false,"publicationStatus":"PW","scienceBaseUri":"53cd5d33e4b0b290850faf60","contributors":{"authors":[{"text":"Wynn, Jeffrey C.","contributorId":81081,"corporation":false,"usgs":true,"family":"Wynn","given":"Jeffrey","email":"","middleInitial":"C.","affiliations":[],"preferred":false,"id":259289,"contributorType":{"id":1,"text":"Authors"},"rank":1},{"text":"Olmore, Steven D.","contributorId":60946,"corporation":false,"usgs":true,"family":"Olmore","given":"Steven","email":"","middleInitial":"D.","affiliations":[],"preferred":false,"id":259287,"contributorType":{"id":1,"text":"Authors"},"rank":2},{"text":"Mendoza, Vicente","contributorId":96766,"corporation":false,"usgs":true,"family":"Mendoza","given":"Vicente","email":"","affiliations":[],"preferred":false,"id":259292,"contributorType":{"id":1,"text":"Authors"},"rank":3},{"text":"Garcia, Andres","contributorId":81565,"corporation":false,"usgs":false,"family":"Garcia","given":"Andres","email":"","affiliations":[{"id":13379,"text":"Environmental Hydraulics Institute \"IH Cantabria\", C/ Isabel Torres nº15, Parque Científico y Tecnológico de Cantabria, 39011 Santander, Spain.","active":true,"usgs":false}],"preferred":false,"id":259290,"contributorType":{"id":1,"text":"Authors"},"rank":4},{"text":"Rendon, Ines","contributorId":93133,"corporation":false,"usgs":true,"family":"Rendon","given":"Ines","email":"","affiliations":[],"preferred":false,"id":259291,"contributorType":{"id":1,"text":"Authors"},"rank":5},{"text":"Estanga, Yasmin","contributorId":13132,"corporation":false,"usgs":true,"family":"Estanga","given":"Yasmin","email":"","affiliations":[],"preferred":false,"id":259282,"contributorType":{"id":1,"text":"Authors"},"rank":6},{"text":"Rincon, Haydee","contributorId":32604,"corporation":false,"usgs":true,"family":"Rincon","given":"Haydee","email":"","affiliations":[],"preferred":false,"id":259283,"contributorType":{"id":1,"text":"Authors"},"rank":7},{"text":"Martinez, Felix","contributorId":45738,"corporation":false,"usgs":true,"family":"Martinez","given":"Felix","affiliations":[],"preferred":false,"id":259286,"contributorType":{"id":1,"text":"Authors"},"rank":8},{"text":"Lugo, Elis","contributorId":37008,"corporation":false,"usgs":true,"family":"Lugo","given":"Elis","email":"","affiliations":[],"preferred":false,"id":259284,"contributorType":{"id":1,"text":"Authors"},"rank":9},{"text":"Rivero, Nelson","contributorId":62678,"corporation":false,"usgs":true,"family":"Rivero","given":"Nelson","email":"","affiliations":[],"preferred":false,"id":259288,"contributorType":{"id":1,"text":"Authors"},"rank":10},{"text":"Schruben, Paul G.","contributorId":38974,"corporation":false,"usgs":true,"family":"Schruben","given":"Paul","email":"","middleInitial":"G.","affiliations":[],"preferred":false,"id":259285,"contributorType":{"id":1,"text":"Authors"},"rank":11}]}}
