Observations were restricted to the central basin in 1959, but were lake-wide in 1960.  Approximately 70 percent of the bottom waters of the central basin had a serious oxygen deficiency during both years.  Data were obtained also on the distribution of temperature, transparency, specific conductance, pH, and phenolphthalein and total alkalinity. P. Somers in 1959. Analysis C applies to Part 10 and was extracted from Circutar 457 (Berwick, 1962). Analysis D applies to Part 13 and was extracted from a report by C. A. Thomas, H. C. Broom, and J. E. Cummans (1963).</p><p>Methods described in this report can be used to estimate the magnitude of a flood of any selected recurrence interval between 1.1 and 50 years for any unregulated stream in Wyoming, gaged or ungaged, within the scope of the data. Counties, cities, education institutions, and water users’ organizations also have cooperated for many years. The need for water information applies to all levels of government. It is, therefore, advantageous for the Federal Government, State governments, and other political subdivisions to share in the expense to the extent possible consistent with their common interests and responsibilities. In considering additional modes of infection, we speculated about transovarian transmission or a mechanical process arising from contamination of the ova at the egg-taking stage with subsequent entry of the bacteria into the egg at the time of fertilization. Two of these components, designated antigens I and II, were missing from 116 of 125 blood samples from red salmon taken in Asian waters. In contrast, only 31 of 905 blood samples from red salmon of American origin lacked these components. Intermediate frequencies of occurrence of these antigenic components were found in blood samples from red salmon caught in the central North Pacific and Bering Sea. They presented results of experimental investigation of the disease which established that the etiologic agent was filterable, highly virulent, and resistant to antibiotics and some of the more common chemicals, and that it was apparently not transmitted in salmon product-used as food, as was shown for a virus disease of sockeye salmon (<i>O. merka</i>) by Guenther, watson, and Rucker (T559).
