Some of the basic hydrologic data has been collected by the Geological Survey during the early investigations of ground-water conditions in the Quincy Basin (Henshaw, written communication, 1917; Schwennesen and Meinzer, 1918). Most of the data, however, were obtained by the Geological Survey since 1941, in cooperation with the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation and the Washington State Department of Conservation under continuing programs in the area of the Columbia Basin Project of the Bureau of Reclamation.
