The northside of the crest is commonly called the windward side and the southside, the leeward. Precipitous cliffs aproned by a gently sloping landscape are the main topographic features on the windward side. The leeward side is a gentle lava-flow slope incised by steep narrow valleys. \r\n\r\nThe main Koolau fissure zone, including the caldera, lies on the windward side. The leeward side includes minor rift zones that are perpendicular to and intersect the main fissure zone. Dikes in the main fissure zone strike from nearly east-west in the eastern end to about N. 55? W. in the western part. Dikes in the minor rift zones strike from north-south to slightly northeasterly. \r\n\r\nWater use is about 18 Mgal/d (million gallons per day) of which only 4 Mgal/d is obtained locally from ground-water sources. About a third of the 14 Mgal/d deficit is imported from sources northwest of the study area on the windward side and the remainder from sources in the Honolulu and Pearl Harbor areas on the leeward side. The 4 Mgal/d being developed represents only about 3 percent of the area's rainfall compared to a development-rainfall ratio of 20 percent for the rest of the island. \r\n\r\nStreams are short and flashy. Perennial streamflow to the sea occurs only in Maunawili Valley and in the Waimanalo area. Mean annual discharge is estimated at 20 Mgal/d in the windward side and at 15 Mgal/d on the leeward side. Low flow, expressed as the flow that is equaled or exceeded 90 percent of the time, is 5 Mgal/d windward of the crest and zero leeward of it. Most fresh ground water occurs in lava flows of the Koolau Volcanics. It is impounded by dikes in the rift zones and floats on saline ground water as lenses outside the rift zones. Small but important bodies of freshwater are perched in volcanic rocks of the Honolulu Group in Maunawili Valley. Fresh ground water occurs in near-shore calcareous sands that overlie a clay horizon in the Waimanalo area. Deeply buried talus and alluvium also carry fresh ground water in the Waimanalo area. \r\n\r\nWells tapping saline ground water in fresh lava flows of the Honolulu Group provide water for a sea-life park in the Makapuu area. The same aquifer is tapped by wells for disposal of the saline waste water. \r\n\r\nThe current development scheme in the windward side that utilizes only the free-flow equilibrium discharge of dike-impounded water is inefficient and does not cope with the annual weather cycle. The flow available for development under this scheme is greatest in the rainy winter months when demand is the lowest and least in the summer months when demand is the highest. A more optimal scheme would be to change this natural flow pattern by depleting storage by pumping to increase flow in the high-demand summer months and allowing the depleted storage to recover naturally in the low-demand winter months. Depleting storage would lower water levels which would provide more room for infiltration and provide less opportunity for evapotranspiration. \r\n\r\nThe basal-water reservoir in the leeward side is isolated hydrologically from abutting reservoirs outside the area and can and should be fully exploited. The existing development of the basal-water reservoir is small compared to the natural ground-water flow and that part not being developed is wasting to the sea. Because the area is hydrologically isolated, development will not be detrimental to or reduce the ground-water supply outside the area.","language":"ENGLISH","publisher":"U.S. Geological Survey,","doi":"10.3133/ofr82628","usgsCitation":"Takasaki, K., and Mink, J., 1982, Water resources of southeastern Oahu, Hawaii: U.S. Geological Survey Open-File Report 82-628, viii, 97 p. :ill., maps ;28 cm., https://doi.org/10.3133/ofr82628.","productDescription":"viii, 97 p. :ill., maps ;28 cm.","costCenters":[],"links":[{"id":142573,"rank":0,"type":{"id":24,"text":"Thumbnail"},"url":"https://pubs.usgs.gov/of/1982/0628/report-thumb.jpg"},{"id":39220,"rank":300,"type":{"id":11,"text":"Document"},"url":"https://pubs.usgs.gov/of/1982/0628/report.pdf","linkFileType":{"id":1,"text":"pdf"}}],"noUsgsAuthors":false,"publicationStatus":"PW","scienceBaseUri":"4f4e49dee4b07f02db5e3158","contributors":{"authors":[{"text":"Takasaki, K. These structures, herein called disturbed zones, are formed by movement between closely spaced pairs of thrust faults. Disturbed zones are characterized at the surface by long, narrow, intensely folded and faulted zones of rocks in a relatively undisturbed stratigraphic sequence. These zones are frequently kilometers to tens of kilometers long and tens to hundreds of meters wide. Although disturbed zones generally occur in sequences of alternating siltstone and shale beds, they can also occur in other lithologies including massively-bedded sandstones and carbonates. \r\n\r\nDisturbed zones are not only easily recognized in outcrop but their presence can also be inferred on geologic maps by disharmonic fold patterns, which necessitates a detachment between adjacent units that show the disharmony. \r\n\r\nA number of geologic problems can be clarified by understanding the principles of the sequence of formation and the method of location of disturbed zones, including the interpretation of some published geologic cross sections and maps. \r\n\r\nThe intense folding and faulting which accompanies the formation of a typical disturbed zone produces a region of fracture porosity which, if sealed off from the surface, might well serve as a commercially-exploitable hydrocarbon trap. We believe that the careful mapping of concentrations of disturbed zones can serve as an important exploration method which is much less expensive than speculation seismic lines.","language":"English","publisher":"U.S. Geological Survey","doi":"10.3133/ofr82967","usgsCitation":"Pohn, H.A., and Purdy, T.L., 1982, Disturbed zones: Indicators of deep-seated subsurface faults in the Valley and Ridge and Appalachian structural front of Pennsylvania: U.S. Geological Survey Open-File Report 82-967, Report: 87 p.; 1 Plate: 29.75 × 30.57 inches, https://doi.org/10.3133/ofr82967.","productDescription":"Report: 87 p.; 1 Plate: 29.75 × 30.57 inches","costCenters":[],"links":[{"id":393053,"rank":4,"type":{"id":36,"text":"NGMDB Index Page"},"url":"https://ngmdb.usgs.gov/Prodesc/proddesc_13879.htm"},{"id":38526,"rank":300,"type":{"id":11,"text":"Document"},"url":"https://pubs.usgs.gov/of/1982/0967/report.pdf","linkFileType":{"id":1,"text":"pdf"}},{"id":38525,"rank":400,"type":{"id":17,"text":"Plate"},"url":"https://pubs.usgs.gov/of/1982/0967/plate-1.pdf","linkFileType":{"id":1,"text":"pdf"}},{"id":143310,"rank":0,"type":{"id":24,"text":"Thumbnail"},"url":"https://pubs.usgs.gov/of/1982/0967/report-thumb.jpg"}],"country":"United States","state":"Pennsylvania","geographicExtents":"{\n  \"type\": \"FeatureCollection\",\n  \"features\": [\n    {\n      \"type\": \"Feature\",\n      \"properties\": {},\n      \"geometry\": {\n        \"type\": \"Polygon\",\n        \"coordinates\": [\n          [\n            [\n              -78.875,\n              39.75\n            ],\n            [\n              -76.75,\n              39.75\n            ],\n            [\n              -76.75,\n              41.3750\n            ],\n            [\n              -78.875,\n              41.3750\n            ],\n            [\n              -78.875,\n              39.75\n            ]\n          ]\n        ]\n      }\n    }\n  ]\n}","noUsgsAuthors":false,"publicationStatus":"PW","scienceBaseUri":"4f4e4a6be4b07f02db63d8d3","contributors":{"authors":[{"text":"Pohn, Howard A.","contributorId":66681,"corporation":false,"usgs":true,"family":"Pohn","given":"Howard","email":"","middleInitial":"A.","affiliations":[],"preferred":false,"id":161845,"contributorType":{"id":1,"text":"Authors"},"rank":1},{"text":"Purdy, Terri L.","contributorId":87950,"corporation":false,"usgs":true,"family":"Purdy","given":"Terri","email":"","middleInitial":"L.","affiliations":[],"preferred":false,"id":161846,"contributorType":{"id":1,"text":"Authors"},"rank":2}]}}

In the remainder of the area, a region extending contiguously from Mine Mountain northwestward through Syncline Ridge to the Eleana Range, the gravity data indicate that the Eleana Formation, where not exposed, is buried at depths of less than about 200 m, except in a limited area of exposed older Paleozoic rocks on Mine Mountain. Quaternary alluvium and Tertiary volcanic rocks are inferred to occur in this region as veneers or shallow dishes of deposit on Tippipah Limestone or Eleana Formation. Low-level aeromagnetic anomaly data, covering the western two-thirds of the study area, delineate relatively magnetic tuff units within the Tertiary volcanic rocks and provide a very attractive means for distinguishing units of normal polarization from units of reversed polarization. If used in conjunction with results of previous magnetization studies of G. D. Bath (1968), the low-level survey may prove to be an effective tool for mapping specific tuff members in the volcanic terrane. \r\n\r\nThe important question of the feasibility of discriminating high-quartz argillite from low-quartz argillite of the Eleana Formation using surface gravity data remains unresolved. If the more highly competent, denser, high-quartz phase should occur as stratigraphic units many tens of meters thick, closely spaced gravity data may reliably detect these units. If the high-quartz phase occurs only as relatively thin units, interbedded with low-quartz phase, borehole gravity surveying can be used much more effectively than equivalent surface gravity surveying.","language":"English","publisher":"U.S. Geological Survey","doi":"10.3133/ofr82931","usgsCitation":"Ponce, D.A., and Hanna, W.F., 1982, Preliminary appraisal of gravity and magnetic data at Syncline Ridge, western Yucca Flat, Nevada Test Site, Nye County, Nevada: U.S. Geological Survey Open-File Report 82-931, ii, 22 p., https://doi.org/10.3133/ofr82931.","productDescription":"ii, 22 p.","costCenters":[],"links":[{"id":392418,"rank":3,"type":{"id":36,"text":"NGMDB Index Page"},"url":"https://ngmdb.usgs.gov/Prodesc/proddesc_13861.htm"},{"id":38531,"rank":300,"type":{"id":11,"text":"Document"},"url":"https://pubs.usgs.gov/of/1982/0931/report.pdf","linkFileType":{"id":1,"text":"pdf"}},{"id":143210,"rank":0,"type":{"id":24,"text":"Thumbnail"},"url":"https://pubs.usgs.gov/of/1982/0931/report-thumb.jpg"}],"country":"United States","state":"Nevada","county":"Nye County","otherGeospatial":"Syncline Ridge, western Yucca Flat","geographicExtents":"{\n  \"type\": \"FeatureCollection\",\n  \"features\": [\n    {\n      \"type\": \"Feature\",\n      \"properties\": {},\n      \"geometry\": {\n        \"type\": \"Polygon\",\n        \"coordinates\": [\n          [\n            [\n              -116.25,\n              37\n            ],\n            [\n              -116.125,\n              37\n            ],\n            [\n              -116.125,\n              37.117\n            ],\n            [\n              -116.25,\n              37.117\n            ],\n            [\n              -116.25,\n              37\n            ]\n          ]\n        ]\n      }\n    }\n  ]\n}","noUsgsAuthors":false,"publicationStatus":"PW","scienceBaseUri":"4f4e4ac9e4b07f02db67ca72","contributors":{"authors":[{"text":"Ponce, David A. 0000-0003-4785-7354 ponce@usgs.gov","orcid":"https://orcid.org/0000-0003-4785-7354","contributorId":1049,"corporation":false,"usgs":true,"family":"Ponce","given":"David","email":"ponce@usgs.gov","middleInitial":"A.","affiliations":[{"id":300,"text":"Geologic Hazards Science Center","active":true,"usgs":true},{"id":312,"text":"Geology, Minerals, Energy, and Geophysics Science Center","active":true,"usgs":true}],"preferred":true,"id":161853,"contributorType":{"id":1,"text":"Authors"},"rank":1},{"text":"Hanna, William F.","contributorId":104045,"corporation":false,"usgs":true,"family":"Hanna","given":"William","email":"","middleInitial":"F.","affiliations":[],"preferred":false,"id":161854,"contributorType":{"id":1,"text":"Authors"},"rank":2}]}}

Hardgrounds and two faults described in previous literature also are shown on the map. \r\n\r\nOn the Continental Shelf, at least two faults, the Helena Banks fault and the White Oak lineament, appear to be tectonic in origin. However, a lack of historical seismicity associated with these faults indicates that they are probably not active at the present time. Hardgrounds are widely scattered but are most abundant in Onslow Bay. Although paleostream channels are common nearshore, they do not appear to be common on the central and outer shelf except off Albemarle Sound where extensive Pleistocene, Pliocene, and late Miocene channels extend across the shelf. Mobile bottom sediments are confined mainly to the shoals off Cape Romain, Cape Fear, Cape Lookout, and Cape Hatteras. Elsewhere the sand cover is thin, and older more indurated rocks are present in subcrop. \r\n\r\nNo slope-instability features were noted on the Florida-Hatteras slope off North Carolina. The lack of features indicates that this slope is relatively stable. \r\n\r\nEvidence for scour by strong currents is ubiquitous on the northern Blake Plateau although deep-water reefs are sparse. The outer edge of the plateau is dominated by a major growth fault and numerous splay and antithetic faults. These faults are the product of salt tectonism in the Carolina trough and thus are not associated with seismicity. Displacements observed near the sea floor and breached diapirs offshore indicate that the main fault is still moving. Associated with the faults are collapse features that are interpreted to be caused by karst solution and cavernous porosity in Eocene and Oligocene limestones at depth. \r\n\r\nMajor slumps have taken place in two large areas of the Continental Slope. Seismic-reflection profiles of the southern area, centered on the lower slope at 1at. 33?N., long. 76?W., show a 80-m-hlgh scarp in which bedding has been truncated. Rotational slump faults are present in this area on the middle and upper slope. Sidescan images show that large blocks have slid downslope from the scarp face, furrowing the bottom. High-resolution (3.5-kHz) records show that the rotational slump faults upslope are active. The association of these slumps and the scarps with salt diapirs suggests subsidence accompanying salt tectonism as the cause. Seismic-reflection records over the northern area, at about fat. 36?20'N., long. 74?40'W., show two steep scarps, each about 225 m high on the upper and middle-slope. These slump scars and an absence of Pleistocene sediments indicate that large blocks of the slope have been removed by slumping. \r\n\r\nThe slope north of fat. 35?N. is highly dissected by canyons. Mid-range sidescan-sonar records suggest that the canyons are the product of mass wasting and have probably formed largely by slumping. \r\n\r\nSediments in a wide zone on the upper rise are highly disturbed and faulted owing to salt tectonism. Twenty-six salt diapirs are mapped, as is a zone of disturbed bottom related to salt tectonism. \r\n\r\nAn area of frozen bottom (clathrate) under which shallow free gas is trapped underlies the outer Blake Plateau, the slope, and the upper rise. Although the hazards of drilling into or through clathrates have not been tested, the release of gas from beneath this frozen layer may prove to be a primary hazard to exploration.","language":"ENGLISH","publisher":"U.S. Geological Survey,","doi":"10.3133/ofr82136","usgsCitation":"Popenoe, P., Coward, E., and Cashman, K.V., 1982, A regional assessment of potential environmental hazards to and limitations on petroleum development of the Southeastern United States Atlantic continental shelf, slope, and rise, offshore North Carolina: U.S. Geological Survey Open-File Report 82-136, 71 p., 1 over-size sheet, maps ;28 cm., https://doi.org/10.3133/ofr82136.","productDescription":"71 p., 1 over-size sheet, maps ;28 cm.","costCenters":[],"links":[{"id":143343,"rank":0,"type":{"id":24,"text":"Thumbnail"},"url":"https://pubs.usgs.gov/of/1982/0136/report-thumb.jpg"},{"id":38538,"rank":400,"type":{"id":17,"text":"Plate"},"url":"https://pubs.usgs.gov/of/1982/0136/plate-1.pdf","linkFileType":{"id":1,"text":"pdf"}},{"id":38539,"rank":300,"type":{"id":11,"text":"Document"},"url":"https://pubs.usgs.gov/of/1982/0136/report.pdf","linkFileType":{"id":1,"text":"pdf"}}],"noUsgsAuthors":false,"publicationStatus":"PW","scienceBaseUri":"4f4e4b1ae4b07f02db6a849d","contributors":{"authors":[{"text":"Popenoe, Peter","contributorId":62206,"corporation":false,"usgs":true,"family":"Popenoe","given":"Peter","email":"","affiliations":[{"id":678,"text":"Woods Hole Coastal and Marine Science Center","active":true,"usgs":true}],"preferred":false,"id":161864,"contributorType":{"id":1,"text":"Authors"},"rank":1},{"text":"Coward, E. The thickness of the zeolite-bearing Interval and the extent of areas within the Interval which contain significant amounts of zeolites are far greater than was expected prior to this investigation. The shape of the zeolite-bearing Interval is tabular and the dimensions of Its exposure are roughly 10 ml x 200 mi x 150 ft (16 km x 160 km x 45 m) thick. Within the study area, there are tracts in which the zeolite resource potential is significant (see pl. 2). \r\n\r\nThis report is intended to inform the Oglala Sioux Tribe of some of the most promising zeolite occurrences. Initial steps can then be taken by the Tribe toward possible development of the resources, should they wish to do so. The data contained herein identify areas of high zeolite potential, but are not adequate to establish economic value for the deposits. If development is recommended by the tribal government, we suggest that the tribal government contact companies involved in research and production of natural zeolites and provide them with the data in this report.","language":"ENGLISH","publisher":"U.S. Geological Survey,","doi":"10.3133/ofr82959","usgsCitation":"Raymond, W.H., Bush, A., and Gude, A.J., 1982, Zeolites in the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation, South Dakota: U.S. Geological Survey Open-File Report 82-959, 16 p., 1 over-size sheet, ill., map ;28 cm., https://doi.org/10.3133/ofr82959.","productDescription":"16 p., 1 over-size sheet, ill., map ;28 cm.","costCenters":[],"links":[{"id":144931,"rank":0,"type":{"id":24,"text":"Thumbnail"},"url":"https://pubs.usgs.gov/of/1982/0959/report-thumb.jpg"},{"id":20760,"rank":400,"type":{"id":17,"text":"Plate"},"url":"https://pubs.usgs.gov/of/1982/0959/plate-1.pdf","linkFileType":{"id":1,"text":"pdf"}},{"id":20761,"rank":401,"type":{"id":17,"text":"Plate"},"url":"https://pubs.usgs.gov/of/1982/0959/plate-1-preview.pdf","linkFileType":{"id":1,"text":"pdf"}},{"id":38591,"rank":300,"type":{"id":11,"text":"Document"},"url":"https://pubs.usgs.gov/of/1982/0959/report.pdf","linkFileType":{"id":1,"text":"pdf"}}],"noUsgsAuthors":false,"publicationStatus":"PW","scienceBaseUri":"4f4e4a9ae4b07f02db65d978","contributors":{"authors":[{"text":"Raymond, William H.","contributorId":48555,"corporation":false,"usgs":true,"family":"Raymond","given":"William","email":"","middleInitial":"H.","affiliations":[],"preferred":false,"id":161975,"contributorType":{"id":1,"text":"Authors"},"rank":1},{"text":"Bush, Alfred L.","contributorId":48977,"corporation":false,"usgs":true,"family":"Bush","given":"Alfred L.","affiliations":[],"preferred":false,"id":161976,"contributorType":{"id":1,"text":"Authors"},"rank":2},{"text":"Gude, Arthur J. 3rd 3rd","contributorId":34932,"corporation":false,"usgs":true,"family":"Gude","given":"Arthur","suffix":"3rd","email":"","middleInitial":"J. 3rd","affiliations":[],"preferred":false,"id":161974,"contributorType":{"id":1,"text":"Authors"},"rank":3}]}}

Four tracts assessed were located in the outcrop of three coal groups and of other relatively impermeable rocks in the Pottsville Formation. Physical settings of the tracts and most other areas in the Warrior coal field are similar. This results in similar ground-water and surface-water characteristics, in similar impacts resulting from surface coal mining, and in maximizing the transfer-ability of data. Assessments of the tracts reflected the small storage of water in underlying rocks and corresponding low yields to wells and to the base flow of streams. Ground water and surface water in undisturbed areas are generally of good quality. Some subbasins in the tracts have already been impacted by mining. Estimates of streamflow characteristics and the availability and quality of ground water in the tracts were made using available methodology , or assessments based on local and regional data. Estimates of the degree mineralization of surface-water were made using methodology developed from other coal hydrology work. Climatic, physiographic, hydrologic, and land-use data were analyzed by regressions to derive relations for assessing water quality in streams draining mined and unmined areas. In this approach, an equation was derived to estimate specific conductance. Additional equations, based on relations between specific conductance and other constituents, allow estimates of mine drainage indicators such as hardness, dissolved solids, and sulfate. Hydrologic assessments of the tracts, based on limited verification data, proved to be reasonably accurate. Bear and Blue Creek basins are underlain predominantly by relatively impermeable consolidated rocks in the Pottsville Formation. Turkey and Yellow Creek basins are underlain predominantly by permeable unconsolidated rocks in the Coker Formation. \r\n\r\nWell yields from the Pottsville Formation generally range from 0 to 5 gallons per minute and those from the Coker Formation generally range from 5 to 100 gallons per minute. With the exception of locally objectional concentrations of dissolved iron and manganese, ground water in the basins is suitable for most uses. \r\n\r\nStreamflow distribution reflects seasonal precipitation. Storm runoff is characterized by concentrated peakflows of short duration that rapidly recede to low flow. Streams draining basins underlain mainly by the Pottsville Formation frequently go dry, whereas those draining basins underlain chiefly by the Coker Formation have well-sustained low flows.\r\n\r\nSurface water is generally acidic and low in dissolved solids. Water in streams draining basins underlain chiefly by the Pottsville Formation is slightly more mineralized and less acidic than water in streams draining areas underlain chiefly by the Coker Formation. Climatic, physiographic, hydrologic, and land-use data are analyzed by regressions to derive relations for estimating water quality in streams draining mined and unmined areas. \r\n\r\nThe impacts of mining on the hydrologic systems are identified as increased erosion and sedimentation, baseflow augmentation, decline in groundwater levels, and degradation of water quality. \r\n\r\nA digital model was calibrated to simulate streamflow for Bear, Blue, and Yellow Creeks under unmined conditions. The model, when calibrated and verified under mined and unmined conditions, can be coupled with developed water-quality relationships. This will permit a general examination of .surface-water characteristics (quantity and quality), and estimation of hydrologic impacts that will result from surface mining.","language":"ENGLISH","publisher":"U.S. Geological Survey,","doi":"10.3133/ofr82105","usgsCitation":"Puente, C., and Newton, J., 1982, Hydrology of potential mining areas in the Warrior coal field, Alabama: U.S. Geological Survey Open-File Report 82-105, 117 p., 10 over-size sheets, ill., maps ;28 cm., https://doi.org/10.3133/ofr82105.","productDescription":"117 p., 10 over-size sheets, ill., maps ;28 cm.","costCenters":[],"links":[{"id":112942,"rank":410,"type":{"id":17,"text":"Plate"},"url":"https://pubs.usgs.gov/of/1982/0105/plate-figure_02.pdf","size":"2786","linkFileType":{"id":1,"text":"pdf"}},{"id":112943,"rank":411,"type":{"id":17,"text":"Plate"},"url":"https://pubs.usgs.gov/of/1982/0105/plate-figure_03.pdf","size":"3319","linkFileType":{"id":1,"text":"pdf"}},{"id":112944,"rank":412,"type":{"id":17,"text":"Plate"},"url":"https://pubs.usgs.gov/of/1982/0105/plate-figure_07.pdf","size":"507","linkFileType":{"id":1,"text":"pdf"}},{"id":112945,"rank":413,"type":{"id":17,"text":"Plate"},"url":"https://pubs.usgs.gov/of/1982/0105/plate-figure_16.pdf","size":"645","linkFileType":{"id":1,"text":"pdf"}},{"id":112946,"rank":414,"type":{"id":17,"text":"Plate"},"url":"https://pubs.usgs.gov/of/1982/0105/plate-figure_17.pdf","size":"485","linkFileType":{"id":1,"text":"pdf"}},{"id":112947,"rank":415,"type":{"id":17,"text":"Plate"},"url":"https://pubs.usgs.gov/of/1982/0105/plate-figure_18.pdf","size":"263","linkFileType":{"id":1,"text":"pdf"}},{"id":112948,"rank":416,"type":{"id":17,"text":"Plate"},"url":"https://pubs.usgs.gov/of/1982/0105/plate-figure_20.pdf","size":"2434","linkFileType":{"id":1,"text":"pdf"}},{"id":112949,"rank":417,"type":{"id":17,"text":"Plate"},"url":"https://pubs.usgs.gov/of/1982/0105/plate-figure_21.pdf","size":"3675","linkFileType":{"id":1,"text":"pdf"}},{"id":112950,"rank":418,"type":{"id":17,"text":"Plate"},"url":"https://pubs.usgs.gov/of/1982/0105/plate-figure_22.pdf","size":"2647","linkFileType":{"id":1,"text":"pdf"}},{"id":143601,"rank":0,"type":{"id":24,"text":"Thumbnail"},"url":"https://pubs.usgs.gov/of/1982/0105/report-thumb.jpg"},{"id":38562,"rank":300,"type":{"id":11,"text":"Document"},"url":"https://pubs.usgs.gov/of/1982/0105/report.pdf","linkFileType":{"id":1,"text":"pdf"}}],"noUsgsAuthors":false,"publicationStatus":"PW","scienceBaseUri":"4f4e4a0ee4b07f02db5fdaff","contributors":{"authors":[{"text":"Puente, Celso","contributorId":36140,"corporation":false,"usgs":true,"family":"Puente","given":"Celso","email":"","affiliations":[],"preferred":false,"id":161909,"contributorType":{"id":1,"text":"Authors"},"rank":1},{"text":"Newton, J.G.","contributorId":71552,"corporation":false,"usgs":true,"family":"Newton","given":"J.G.","email":"","affiliations":[],"preferred":false,"id":161910,"contributorType":{"id":1,"text":"Authors"},"rank":2}]}}
