All pixels identified as quartz have been assigned the color red. The brightness of the red color is proportional to spectral quartz abundance. A continuous (or gradational) stretch was applied, with bright shades of red indicating high quartz index values, and successively darker shades indicate lower index values. Pixels in which no quartz was identified have been assigned a DN value of zero and should be made transparent when displaying the image. For example, using ArcMap unique value symbology properties the value can be removed so that only pixels in which quartz was identified are shown.
