Software is provided for 4 platforms: Windows 2000/XP, SGI, SUN, and Linux. Quick start Software may be run from the CD-ROM; best performance is obtained by running software from local system. All software requires 500 MB of space on local hard drive, less if only system specific software is copied. To run program, copy executable files (for Windows the .exe files), faces files (.enc.faces), and, optionally, the "Data," "Annotation," and the two help folders to local hard drive. Include "Script" directory and “demo.script,” bex_wells4_utm.dat," and "transportation3.ann" files for overview of software functions. Use "QuickHelp.pdf" in the "QuickHelp" directory for brief instructions to start and run software. (Or just double click on the "evviewer.exe" executable file.) Once software is started, all instructions are the same. To start demo from the main menu (keyboard numeral 1), select the animation menu (keyboard control 5), then select run script (keyboard t), select “demo.script” from the file selection menu. Content and layout of information on the disc follows: /root Windows executable and data files bex_wells4_utm.dat drill hole and tops data file readme1.txt This file cjpeg.exe Windows executable file for evviewer demo.script Script to show model software functions, this script can be used on all platforms. To start demo from the main menu, keyboard numeral 1, select the animation menu (keyboard ^5), then select run script (keyboard t), select “test.script” from the file selection menu. edwards13.enc.faces model file edwards_metadata.txt metadata file edoutcrop.ann annotation file of recharge zone evviewer.exe Windows executable file togif.exe Windows executable file for evviewer toppm.exe Windows executable file for evviewer totiff.exe Windows executable file for evviewer transportion3.ann annotation file of cultural information Annotation edoutcrop.ann Currently accepted outline of Edwards Aquifer. transportation3.ann Major roads and intersections Data All data is provided in *.dat format for the modeling software and in *.txt format for viewing. bex_wells4_utm.dat well locations and tops bex_wells4_utm.txt bex_wells_3-9-04_utm.dat well locations and tops bex_wells_3-9-04_utm.txt bsnod4_utm.dat tops of Basal Nodular Member bsnod4_utm.txt cymrn4_utm.dat tops of Cyclic and Marine Members cymrn4_utm.txt dolo4_utm.dat tops of Dolomitic Member dolo4_utm.txt grnstn4_utm.txt tops of Grainstone Member grnstn4_utm.txt ksch4_utm.dat tops of Kirschberg Evaporite Member ksch4_utm.txt lcclp4_utm.dat tops of Leached and Collapsed Member lcclp4_utm.txt uglrs4_utm.dat tops of Upper Glen Rose Limestone uglrs4_utm.txt uglrs_additional_data.dat additional tops for Upper Glen Rose Limestone uglrs_additional_data.txt edwards2_project_dem.dat USGS Dem data for model edwards2_project_dem.txt fault10.dat fault data fault10.txt fault15.dat fault data fault15.txt fault17.dat fault data fault17.txt fault24.dat fault data fault24.txt fault25.dat fault data fault25.txt fault28.dat fault data fault28.txt fault51.dat fault data fault51.txt fault65.dat fault data fault65.txt fault68.dat fault data fault68.txt fault69.dat fault data fault69.txt fault7.dat fault data fault7.txt fault70.dat fault data fault70.txt fault75.dat fault data fault75.txt fault76.dat fault data fault76.txt fault78.dat fault data fault78.txt fault8.dat fault data fault8.txt fault81.dat fault data fault81.txt fault82.dat fault data fault82.txt fault83.dat fault data fault83.txt fault84.dat fault data fault84.txt fault86.dat fault data fault86.txt fault87.dat fault data fault87.txt fault88.dat fault data fault88.txt fault89.dat fault data fault89.txt fault92.dat fault data fault92.txt faults_surface_line.dat surface line data for faults faults_surface_line.txt Images AdobeTM Illustrator image files for report PanCole_fig01.ai PanCole_fig02.ai PanCole_fig03.ai PanCole_fig04.ai Linux Linux executable and data files bex_wells4_utm.dat cjpeg demoviewer demoviewer.mesa demoviewer.nvidia edoutcrop.ann edwards14.enc.faces edwards14.fault.enc.faces edwards14.surf.enc.faces README togif toppm totiff transportation3.ann QuickHelp Help file showing basic data viewing functions QuickHelp.pdf QuickHelp.doc Report Report for this model Edwards3DModeltext.pdf Edwards3DModeltext.doc Fig_capts.doc HydroUnit_table.doc Table01.doc Script Earth Vision file for the demonstration script Demonstration accessed from Animation menu -> script -> demo.script 10.vue 100.vue 101.vue 102.vue 103.vue 104.vue 105.vue 106.vue 107.vue 108.vue 11.vue 12.vue 13.vue 14.vue 15.vue 16.vue 17.vue 18.vue 19.vue 2.vue 20.vue 21.vue 22.vue 23.vue 24.vue 25.vue 26.vue 27.vue 28.vue 29.vue 3.vue 30.vue 31.vue 32.vue 33.vue 34.vue 35.vue 37.vue 38.vue 39.vue 4.vue 40.vue 41.vue 42.vue 43.vue 44.vue 45.vue 46.vue 47.vue 48.vue 49.vue 5.vue 50.vue 51.vue 52.vue 53.vue 54.vue 55.vue 56.vue 57.vue 58.vue 59.vue 6.vue 60.vue 61.vue 62.vue 63.vue 64.vue 65.vue 66.vue 67.vue 68.vue 69.vue 7.vue 70.vue 71.vue 72.vue 73.vue 74.vue 75.vue 76.vue 77.vue 78.vue 79.vue 8.vue 80.vue 81.vue 82.vue 83.vue 84.vue 85.vue 86.vue 87.vue 88.vue 89.vue 9.vue 90.vue 91.vue 92.vue 93.vue 94.vue 95.vue 98.vue 99.vue Sgi SGI executable and data files bex_wells4_utm.dat cjpeg demoviewer edoutcrop.ann edwards14.enc.faces edwards14.fault.enc.faces edwards14.surf.enc.faces togif toppm totiff transportation3.ann Sun SUN executable and data files bex_wells4_utm.dat cjpeg demoviewer edoutcrop.ann edwards14.enc.faces edwards14.fault.enc.faces edwards14.surf.enc.faces togif toppm totiff transportation3.ann 3DviewerHelp Complete help file 3DViewer.pdf ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Supported systems configurations Supported Silicon Graphics® Configuration Revision: December 2002 Specifications Models -- O2, OCTANE, Onyx2 Indy, Indigo2, POWER/Indigo2, Crimson, Onyx, Indigo CPUs -- MIPS R5000, R10000, R12000 R4400, R4600, R8000 OS Version -- IRIX 6.5 Memory -- 96 MB minimum; 192 MB or more preferred; 400+ MB swap Software -- Impressario for printing in general and PhaserPrint for printing to Tektronix printers Disk -- 4 GB or more preferred EarthVision -- Release 7.0.1 November, 2002 * EarthVision is not specifically optimized for the POWER/Indigo2 R8000 compiler architecture.
