Results of the third alternative model are similar visually to the calibrated model. The animation of the third alternative model shows CFC-11 appearing in the upper confined aquifer several years prior to the appearance of CFC-11 in the animations of the calibrated or first alternative model. The earlier appearance of CFC-11 in the third alternative model is largely because of uniform withdrawals throughout the simulation from wells that exist in the 1997-2001 time period. These wells do not exist prior to their construction date in the transient models.
