Scientific Investigations Report 2008–5059
Data for this report, consisting of Environmental Systems Research Institute (ESRI), Inc. ArcGIS (v9.2) GRID files of the depth to water, water-table elevation, and relative uncertainty of the water-table position, including metadata information, for the Portland, Oregon area.
Update: 12-12-2008
Due to an error in spatial registration the depth to water and water-table elevation grid cells for the grids originally designated “d5_masked” and “w5_masked” were inadvertently shifted approximately 110 feet to the east. Therefore, locations overlain onto these grids within 110 feet of the east side of a grid cell boundary will result in erroneous values and instead should be assigned the value of the grid cell immediately to the east. These incorrect grids have been replaced with new grids designated “d5_masked_v2” and “w5_masked_v2” which have been modified and have the correct spatial registration. The boundaries of these new grids have changed slightly to be consistent with the boundary of the revised relative uncertainty grid “s5_nrmlfxd_v2”. We regret any inconvenience these errors may have caused. Further questions may be addressed to Daniel Snyder by email at dtsnyder@usgs.gov or by telephone at (503) 251-3287.
