Introduction ---------------------------------- This folder contains the files of selected daily and instantaneous data values used in U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) Scientific Investigations Report 2008-5083, "Evaluation of Acoustic Doppler Velocity Meters to Quantify Flow from Comal Springs and San Marcos Springs, Texas," by Marcus O. Gary, Robin H. Gary, and William H. Asquith. These data will remain provisional because of the nature of the study. USGS Scientific Investigations Report 2008-5083 was prepared by the USGS in cooperation with the Edwards Aquifer Authority. Additional site information and data for continuing gages are available through the National Water Inventory System Web interface (NWIS Web) at http://waterdata.usgs.gov/nwis Folder Information ---------------------------------- The overall layout of the folder is as follows: \readme.txt this file \database \NWIS_advm_data.mdb Microsoft Access 2002-2003 format database of site location, daily data values, and instantaneous data values. Site locations are linked with daily values and unit values. Parameter codes are linked with parameter descriptions. Field definitions are available for each table in Design View. \FGDC Datasets in this directory are non-proprietary alternatives to the Microsoft Access 2002-2003 format database. \readme_fgdc.txt A description of the contents of the FGDC folder. Files and their fields are described. \ASCII_text All database tables are provided as tab-delimited ASCII text and have the same attribute contents as the database tables.
