Conversion Factors, Datums, and Abbreviations and AcronymsConversion Factors
Temperature in degrees Celsius (°C) may be converted to degrees Fahrenheit (°F) as follows: °F=(1.8×°C)+32. Specific conductance is given in microsiemens per centimeter at 25 degrees Celsius (µS/cm at 25°C). Suspended-sediment concentrations are reported in milligrams per liter (mg/L). Sediment loads are reported in tons. Water year is the 12-month period from October 1 through September 30 of the following calendar year. The water year is designated by the calendar year in which it ends. For example, water year 2008 is the period from October 1, 2007, through September 30, 2008. DatumsVertical coordinate information is referenced to the National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929 (NGVD 29).
