Three-Dimensional Geologic Model of the Southeastern Española Basin, Santa Fe County, New Mexico By Michael P. Pantea, Mark R. Hudson, V.J.S. Grauch, and Scott A. Minor SIR 2011-5025 Software is provided for the Windows platform. Quick start Software may be run from the DVD-ROM; best performance is obtained by running software from local system. All software requires 1 GB of space on local hard drive, less if only system specific software is copied. To run program, copy executable files (for Windows the .bat file and the dgi folder), faces files (.enc.faces), and, optionally, other data or image files. Use "QuickHelp.pdf" in the "Help" directory for brief instructions to start and run software. Files included on this DVD-ROM /root 2011_5025..sliced.encn.faces 3D model with volumes 2011_5025.fault.encn.faces 3D model of fault sheets 2011_5025.surf.encn.faces 3D model without volumes color_view.vue View of model with published colors 2011_5025.sliced.znclr Model color file 2011_5025_surface.znclr Model surfaces color file Model_Viewer.bat Start to view primary model open_viewer.bat Generic start for model viewer GESPB742_D.imreg Image registration file GESPB742_D_small.imreg Image registration file GESPB742_D.rgb Image file GESPB742_D_small.rgb Image file GESPB742_D.tif Image file Readme1.txt This text SIR_2011-5025_metadata.met Metadata file /3Dviewer_HelpFiles Help files for the viewinf software Quickhelp.doc Quick help.pdf /Video movie of model showing features of viewer espanola_1.avi espanola_.mov espanola_1.wmv /Discritized_data Discritized data for MODFLOW /NAD_27 Ancha27_mod.asc Ancha27_top.asc Cerros_Del_Rio27_mod.asc Cerros_Del_Rio27_top.asc discretized data.txt Brief disscussion about MODFLOW data format huftemp1_nad27.dat MZ_Eoc_clastic27_mod.asc nad27_dis.txt MODFLOW header information older_volcanic27_mod.asc older_volcanic27_top.asc olig_volc_base27_mod.asc olig_volc_base27_top.asc Pz_carb27_mod.asc Pz_carb27_top.asc Tesuque27_mod.asc Tesuque27_top.asc /NAD_83 Ancha83_mod.asc Ancha83_top.asc Cerros_Del_Rio83_mod.asc Cerros_Del_Rio83_top.asc discretized data.txt Brief disscussion about MODFLOW data format huftemp1_nad83.dat MZ_Eoc_clastic83_mod.asc Mz_Eoc_clastic83_top.asc nad83_dis.txt MODFLOW header information older_volcanic83_mod.asc older_volcanic83_top.asc olig_volc_base83_mod.asc olig_volc_base83_top.asc Pz_carb83_mod.asc Pz_carb83_top.asc Tesuque83_mod.asc Tesuque83_top.asc /Report This report SIR 2011-5025.pdf /Selected_References Selected references used in this report /MF_2352 mf-2352.pdf mf-2352_map_508.pdf mf-2352_pam.pdf /OFR_2004_1040_A /CESPB CESPB742.tfw CESPB742.tif cespb742L.jpg cespb742L.tif /ESPB espb742L.jpg espb742L.tif ESPB742.tfw ESPB742.tif /GESPB GESPB742.tfw GESPB742.tif gespb742L.jpg gespb742L.tif /SRGB srgb742L.jpg srgb742L.tif SRGB742.tfw SRGB742.tif espbasinL7A.doc newmexico_landsat_A.met README_A.TXT RGButmLatLon.csv RGButmLatLon.xls /PP_1719 P1719_508.pdf /PP_1720 p1720.pdf readme.txt /metadata p1720-pl2.met p1720-pl3.met p1720-pl4.met /p1720-GIS 00README.txt cochbase.tfw cochbase.tif p1720-pl2.met /e00 coamt.e00 cochcomu.e00 cochlgrd.e00 cochmag.e00 cochxs.e00 copptsa.e00 cowell.e00 geol_sfo.lin.e00 geoscamp2.mrk.e00 import.aml pmagu.e00 wpgcmykg.shd.e00 /Shapefiles coamt.dbf coamt.prj coamt.sbn coamt.sbx coamt.shp coamt.shp.xml coamt.shx cochcomp.dbf cochcomp.prj cochcomp.sbn cochcomp.sbx cochcomp.shp cochcomp.shp.xml cochcomp.shx cochcomu.dbf cochcomu.prj cochcomu.sbn cochcomu.sbx cochcomu.shp cochcomu.shp.xml cochcomu.shx cochmag.dbf cochmag.prj cochmag.sbn cochmag.sbx cochmag.shp cochmag.shp.xml cochmag.shx cochxs.dbf cochxs.prj cochxs.sbn cochxs.sbx cochxs.shp cochxs.shp.xml cochxs.shx copptsa.dbf copptsa.prj copptsa.sbn copptsa.sbx copptsa.shp copptsa.shp.xml copptsa.shx cowell.dbf cowell.prj cowell.sbn cowell.sbx cowell.shp cowell.shp.xml cowell.shx pmagu.dbf pmagu.prj pmagu.sbn pmagu.sbx pmagu.shp pmagu.shp.xml pmagu.shx /Plates p1720-pl1.pdf p1720-pl2(hillside).pdf p1720-pl2.pdf p1720-pl3.pdf p1720-pl4.pdf p1720-pl5.pdf p1720-pl6.pdf Thumbs.db /PP_1761 p1761readme.txt p1761report.pdf /Gis rv_hinge.dbf rv_hinge.prj rv_hinge.shp rv_hinge.shx seb_cdr_extent.dbf seb_cdr_extent.prj seb_cdr_extent.shp seb_cdr_extent.shx seb_grv_fts.dbf seb_grv_fts.prj seb_grv_fts.shp seb_grv_fts.shx seb_interp_metadata.txt seb_intrusions.dbf seb_intrusions.prj seb_intrusions.shp seb_intrusions.shx seb_mag_flts.dbf seb_mag_flts.prj seb_mag_flts.shp seb_mag_flts.shx seb_no_tov.dbf seb_no_tov.prj seb_no_tov.shp seb_no_tov.shx /Plates p1761-pl1.pdf p1761-pl2.pdf /xyzascii seb_sfgbaseft.xyz seb_sfgbasem.xyz seb_sfgthickft.xyz seb_sfgthickm.xyz sfg_model_metadata.txt /SIM_2946 2946_map.pdf 2946_pamphlet_508.pdf -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Supported systems configurations -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Windows® XP / Windows 7 Graphics Card nVidia Quadro FX (512MB +) An OpenGL capable graphics card with dedicated memory is required. In addition, we recommend the graphics card have at least 512M of memory onboard. Some large monitors (30-inch or greater) require a dual-link DVI capable connector. DGI tests and recommends graphics cards from the nVidia Quadro FX series for use with its software. CPU The time it takes to any type of calculation work on a model is partially dependent on the processor speed of your CPU. While most of DGI's software does not currently take advantage of multiple CPUs/Cores, their presence will allow you run more software simultaneously without impacting performance. CPUs meant for lower power solutions (Ultra-Low Voltage [ULV] or Consumer Ultra-Low Voltage [CULV]) are not recommended at this time as they are optimized for lower power consumption rather than performance. Memory 4GB memory minimum For 32-bit systems, 4G is recommended. This is the maximum amount of memory supported on 32-bit Windows XP Professional. However, depending on your BIOS and operating system settings, you may only see 3G or 3.5G available. * EarthVision software requires 500 MB of disk space. Working on data locally is recommended for improved performance. * For optimal video performance with OpenGL and texture mapping when using a video card (TNT, GeForce, GeForce2, Quadro), it is recommended that you use the accelerated drivers provided by NVIDIA on their website. * Laptops are designed for optimal display at the resolution of the LCD screen. For example, a UXGA LCD screen will not display images as clearly when set to SXGA resolution. 1999-2004 Dynamic Graphics, Inc. All Rights Reserved. Feedback: webmaster@dgi.com Last updated: January 08, 2004 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Known issues -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- An error message may occur referencing Microsoft C++ libraries. These messages may be ignored, "OK" through them and the software will start, there is no harm to system since nothing is loaded. Dynamic graphics has provided a possible solution to the messages located in the bug_fix folder. Some video cards may not have sufficent VRAM to view the image file on the model. We have included a less detailed image file designated as GESPB742_D_small.imreg and GESPB742_D_small.rgb. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Disclaimers -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Neither the United States Government nor any agency thereof nor any of their employees makes any warranty, expressed or implied, or assumes any legal responsibility for the accuracy, completeness, or usefulness of any information, apparatus, product, or process disclosed at this web site or represents that its use would not infringe privately owned rights.
