Conversion Factors and DatumsConversion Factors
Temperature in degrees Celsius (°C) can be converted to degrees Fahrenheit (°F) as follows: °F=(1.8×°C)+32. Concentrations of chemical constituents in water are given either in milligrams per liter (mg/L), which is approximately equal to parts per million, or micrograms per liter (µg/L), which is approximately equal to parts per billion (ppb). DatumsHorizontal coordinate information is referenced to the North American Datum of 1983 (NAD 83). Elevation, as used in this report, refers to distance above the Upper Klamath Lake Vertical Datum (UKLVD), which is used by the Bureau of Reclamation for reporting the elevation of Upper Klamath Lake. |
