Abstract:

This digital map database contains feature class polygons depicting active channel boundaries digitized from aerial photography acquired in 1936, 1953, 1979-1980, 1992, 1997, 2007, and 2010.

Purpose:

This study evaluates channel planform adjustment of the Little Colorado River between the city of Winslow, Arizona, and the Navajo Nation community of Leupp over a period of 74 years. The digital database was prepared under the USGS Navajo Land Use Planning Project in cooperation with the Navajo Nation and funded through the USGS National Cooperative Geologic Mapping Program.
