03272000 TWIN CREEK NEAR GERMANTOWN, OHIO LOCATION.--Lat 39038'10", long 84023'48", in NW 1/4 sec. 11, T.3 N., R.4 E., Montgomery County, Hydrologic Unit 05080002, on right bank 0.3 mi downstream from Germantown Dam, 1.5 mi northwest of Germantown, and 3 mi upstream from Little Twin Creek. DRAINAGE AREA.--275 mi2. PERIOD OF RECORD.--April 1914 to December 1923, December 1926 to current year. REVISED RECORDS.--WSP 403: 1914(M). WSP 1385: 1915(M). GAGE.--Water-stage recorder. Datum of gage is 700.24 ft above sea level. Prior to Dec. 18, 1926, nonrecording gage at site 1 mi downstream at datum 12.49 ft higher. REMARKS.--Records good except for periods of estimated record, which are fair. Flood flow regulated by Germantown retarding basin, 0.3 mi upstream, beginning in 1920. COOPERATION.--Gage-height tapes and 8 discharge measurements furnished by Miami Conservancy District. EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD.--Maximum discharge, 9,390 ft3/s July 8, 1915, gage height 11.7 ft, from graph based on gage readings, site and datum then in use. EXTREMES OUTSIDE PERIOD OF RECORD.--Flood of Mar. 25, 1913, reached a stage of 18.3 ft, original site and datum; discharge, 66,000 ft3/s, computed by Miami Conservancy District.
