REMARKS FOR CURRENT YEAR.--Fish community samples were collected as part of the National Water-Quality Assessment program (NAWQA) in the lower Illinois River Basin. Collection methods followed Meador and others (1993) and were conducted with two passes of a barge electroshocker. Fishes were identified in the field by D. J. Sullivan, U.S. Geological Survey, Madison, Wisconsin. Reach A begins 66 feet upstream of the gage, and continues upstream for 459 feet. Reach B begins 492 feet downstream of gage, and continues downstream for 492 feet. Reach C begins 984 feet downstream of the gage and continues downstream for 492 feet. |
