REMARKS FOR CURRENT YEAR.--Fish community samples were collected as part of the National Water-Quality Assessment program (NAWQA) in the lower Illinois River Basin. Collection methods followed Meador and others (1993) and were conducted with two passes of a barge electroshocker. Fishes were identified in the field by D. J. Sullivan, U.S. Geological Survey, Madison, Wisconsin. Reach A begins 607 feet upstream of the road 450 N bridge (1.95 miles upstream of the gage) and continues upstream for 568 feet. Reach B begins 1818 feet upstream of the road 450N bridge and continues upstream for 564 feet. Reach C begins 2877 feet upstream of the road 450N bridge and continues upstream for 558 feet. |
