SURFACE-WATER DISCHARGE AND STAGE: Flood of April 1960 reached a stage of 6.36 ft, present datum, discharge, 492 ft³/s.

REMARKS FOR CURRENT YEAR.--Fish community samples were collected as part of the National Water-Quality Assessment program (NAWQA) in the upper Illinois River Basin. Collections were made with a single pass of the entire reach with a barge or a backpack electroshocker with supplementary seine hauls and kicks. Fishes were identified by C. A. Taylor, Illinois Natural History Survey, Champaign. Reach A begins 47 feet upstream of Kelsey Road and continues upstream for 492 feet.
