LOCATION.-- Lat 41°19'40", long 89°00'29" (NAD of 1927),in SE1/4 SW1/4 sec. 16 T.33N. R.2E., La Salle County, Hydrologic Unit 07130001, on left bank just upstream of boat launch at Starved Rock State Park 1.2 miles downstream of the lock and dam at Starved Rock.

 

DRAINAGE AREA.-- 11072 mi2.

HABITAT: Water year 1997

 

REMARKS FOR CURRENT YEAR.--Habitat measurements, including physical and geomorphic, were collected as part of the National Water-Quality Assessment program (NAWQA) in the lower Illinois River Basin. The measurements were collected according to Meador and others (1993). Reach A begins at the boat ramp (1.2 mi downstream of dam) in Starved Rock State park and continues upstream for 0.8 mi around Plum Island.
