LOCATION.-- Lat 43°03'12", long 88°11'41" (NAD of 1927), in NW1/4 SE1/4 sec.24, T.7N., R.19E., Waukesha County, Hydrologic Unit 07120006, on left bank at upstream side of Watertown Road bridge, 3.5 mi northeast of Waukesha.

 

DRAINAGE AREA.-- 77.4 mi2

GAGE.-- Water-stage recorder, phone telemeter, and crest-stage gage. Elevation of gage is 820 ft above sea level, from NGVD of 1929.

 

EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD.--

SURFACE-WATER DISCHARGE AND STAGE: Maximum discharge, 1430 ft3/s, Aug. 8, 1998, gage height, 12.07 ft; minimum discharge, 13 ft3/s, Sept. 16, 1995.

 

REMARKS FOR CURRENT YEAR.--Habitat measurements, including physical and geomorphic, were collected as part of the National Water-Quality Assessment program (NAWQA) in the upper Illinois River Basin. The measurements were collected according to Fitzpatrick and others (1998). Reach A begins 43 feet upstream of Watertown Road and continues upstream for 853 feet.
