06471200 MAPLE RIVER AT NORTH DAKOTA-SOUTH DAKOTA STATE LINE
LOCATION.--Lat 45×56'20", long 98×27'08", in SW14 SE14 sec.33, T.129 N., R.62 W., Dickey County, ND, Hydrologic Unit 10160004, on left bank 0.4 mi upstream from State line, 7.8 mi northeast of Frederick, SD, and 15.7 mi upstream from mouth.
DRAINAGE AREA.--716 mi2, of which about 332 mi2 is probably noncontributing.
WATER-DISCHARGE RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD.--June 1956 to current year.
REVISED RECORDS.--WDR SD-86-1: Drainage area.
GAGE.--Water-stage recorder. Elevation of gage is 1,365 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929, from topographic map. Prior to June 14, 1962, nonrecording gage at site 0.4 mi downstream at datum 0.94 ft lower.
REMARKS.--Records good except for estimated daily discharges, which are poor. Satellite data-collection platform at station. Water temperature and specific conductance measured during the year are compiled in the Miscellaneous Temperature Measurements and Field Determinations section.
