LOCATION.--Lat 39°23'37", long 105°11'01", in SE14SE14 sec.35, T.7 S., R.70 W., Jefferson County, Hydrologic Unit 10190002, on right bank 0.9 mi upstream from mouth and 1.3 mi southwest of the community of South Platte.

DRAINAGE AREA.--9.79 mi2.

GAGE.--Water-stage recorder with satellite telemetry. Elevation of gage is 6,320 ft above NGVD of 1929, from topographic map.

REMARKS.--Records poor. No diversion or regulation upstream from station. Several measurements of specific conductance and water temperature were obtained and are published in the "Supplemental Water-Quality Data for Gaging Stations" section of this report.

EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD (seasonal only).--Maximum discharge, 6,380 ft3/s, Aug. 31, 1997, gage height, 13.45 ft, from slope-area measurement of peak flow; minimum daily, 0.23 ft3/s, Aug. 14, 2003.
