Comments and qualifications on the data:
A flood-detention reservoir built upstream in 1981 affects the peaks and the high-flow daily discharges. During
extremely high-flow, some of the water can be diverted into the Tanana River upstream from the station on the Chena
R. at Fairbanks. The reservoir has little effect on monthly flows because the flood storage is temporary.
Monthly and longer averages for 40 water years are acceptable (all years except partial years).
