Table 1.  Describes the distribution of sediment volume not only at time intervals, but also by depositional environment.  The bottom portion of the table compares the volumes calculated by ArcView with those calculated by EarthVision.  Of note, working with small, sliver polygons can increase the error associated with the volume calculations.  By adding up the individual pieces, the table shows that the total sediment deposited in the CRLC from 11,000 yr BP - present day is 105.941 km3.  However, simply subtracting the 11,000 year surface from the present day surface, and calculating the volume on that grid yields a total volume of 104.698 km3.
