Data Series 147
Trackline Maps
Trackline maps were generated with ESRI ArcView 3.3 and ArcGIS 8.3 software, exported to Adobe Illustrator for further editing, and saved in JPEG format. These images can be accessed through the links provided below. The navigation data used to create these maps have not been corrected for the estimated 15-m offset between the shotpoint and GPS antenna (see logbooks: operations.pdf [1.8 MB], science.pdf [1.3 MB]). For details about the GIS project included on this disc, refer to the Software page.
Refer to table 2 for a list of which lines appear on each inset map.

Edited Shotpoint Navigation
Shotpoint navigation files were extracted from the trace headers of each line using Triton Elics International, Inc. (TEI) Delph Seismic software and edited to remove or correct spurious data points. These files were then processed with PROJ.4 software (http://www.remotesensing.org/proj) to generate UTMs from latitude and longitude and reformatted for use with ESRI GIS software. The 500-shot-interval location files were extracted from the trace files using Seismic Unix scripts and processed in the same manner as the shotpoint navigation files. The edited navigation data have not been corrected for the estimated 15-m offset between the shotpoint and GPS antenna (see logbooks: operations.pdf [1.8 MB], science.pdf [1.3 MB]).
Edited shotpoint navigation and edited 500-shot-interval location navigation files can be accessed through the links provided below. Each ASCII text file contains eight fields separated by commas and defined as follows:
Field 1: UTM X (Zone 17)
Field 2: UTM Y (Zone 17)
Field 3: Trackline Number
Field 4: Shotpoint Number
Field 5: Longitude (decimal degrees)
Field 6: Latitude (decimal degrees)
Field 7: Year
Field 8: Day of Year:Hour:Minute:Second (UTC)

Raw Shotpoint Navigation
Shotpoint navigation files were extracted from the trace headers of each line using TEI Delph Seismic software. Raw (unedited) navigation can be accessed through the link provided below. These navigation data have not been corrected for the estimated 15-m offset between the shotpoint and GPS antenna (see logbooks: operations.pdf [1.8 MB], science.pdf [1.3 MB]). The ASCII text file contains six fields separated by a space and defined as follows:
Field 1: Trackline Number
Field 2: Shotpoint Number
Field 3: Longitude (decimal degrees)
Field 4: Latitude (decimal degrees)
Field 5: Year
Field 6: Day of Year:Hour:Minute:Second (UTC)
