Notes:
Bar charts show results of the two-factor sampling plan for gravel layers in South Platte gravel:
1-Results can be summarized by gravel layer (as above) or by site. Results can also be specified for each layer at each site.
2-Particle size classes are shown by colored bars. "-" and "+" refer to less than or greater than stated size, respectively.
3-The charts above show that the basal gravel is coarsest and the middle gravel is finest.
4-If layer thickness and width are known, the quantity of product of a given particle size can be estimated for each layer.
