The main building Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution built in 1930, houses the offices and laboratories of the joint WHOI-USGS Atlantic Shelf Project.  The deep water harbor is the home of the WHOI fleet, including the GOSNOLD - used by the marine geologists for their work.
