Mrs. Medlyn Hamilton, WHOI, operates the carbon analyzer and induction furnace in the Sediment Chemistry Laboratory.  Geological samples from the Continental Shelf and Slope are being studied in this and similar laboratories at the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution under a U.S. Geological Survey - WHOI Cooperative program.
