(Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Estonia, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Russia, Tajikstan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine and Uzbekistan.) This spatial dataset is available as an ArcView shapefile.

Purpose:

This spatial dataset is intended to delineate the political boundaries of the countries comprising the Former Soviet Union as a locational reference in U.S.G.S. Open File Report 01-104, "Coal Quality and Resources of the Former Soviet Union - An ArcView Project".
