Abstract:

This shapefile contains arcs that describe railroads in the countries comprising the Former Soviet Union. (Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Estonia, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Russia, Tajikstan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine and Uzbekistan.) This spatial dataset is available as an ArcView shapefile.

Purpose:

This spatial dataset is intended to delineate railroads in the Former Soviet Union as a locational reference in U.S.G.S. Open File Report 01-104, "Coal Quality and Resources of the Former Soviet Union - An ArcView Project".
