Label and fill each specimen container with 30mL of Milli-Q water using 10mL pipet.

*This step needs be done while the shaker bath is operating.

Pipet 30 milli Liters water into container; link to larger image
Remove tubes from the centrifuge and pipet 3mL of the supernatant into the respective specimen container using a 1mL pipet. Pipet out 3 milli Liters of supernatent from tubes into container
Add 0.9mL of nitric acid to the specimen container using a 1mL pipet. Add nitric acid to container; link to larger image
Let the reaction take place for 5-12 hours. Reaction taking place in containers; link to larger image
Pour liquid into scintilation vials and place in the refrigerator until they are sent for *ICP-ES analysis.
