When making diluted acids, remember to
always add acid to water

PREPARING A DILUTED ACID
Materials Required
:
Fume Hood
Acid
Plastic Container for Solution
Deionized Water (18.2 megohm - cm at 25°C) also called Milli-Q
Goggles
Gloves
Graduated Cylinder
Fill the plastic container half full with Milli-Q water.
Pour acid into graduated cylinder to desired amount.
Add the acid to the water.
Fill the plastic container to the fill line with Milli-Q water.
