Physical Properties of Long Island Sound Sediment Cores

Core C5C2 was taken on June 19, 1996 in 31 meters of water. The core measured 23.5-24 cm in length and was x-rayed on July 1, 1996. This core was frozen during the x-radiograph and ice crystals are visible in the x-ray image. Features noted are seen in the x-ray above and include mottled sediment and some biological features such as small shells and worm tubes.
