Core D1C4 was taken on June 24, 1996 in 10 meters of water. The core measured 53.5-56.5 cm in length, was x-rayed on June 26, 1996 and was subsampled on July 14, 1999 at 2.0 cm intervals down to 36 cm (the remainder of the core was not sectioned). Features noted are seen in the x-ray, water content, and texture profiles above and include sand and mud ribbons, mottled sediment, rocks, and some biological features such as shells and worm tubes.
