Core F3C1 was taken on June 20, 1996 in 15 meters of water. The core measured 33.9-34.7 cm in length, was x-rayed on July 1, 1996 and was subsampled on October 22, 1996 at 0.5 cm intervals down the whole core. Features noted are seen in the x-ray, water content, and texture profiles above and include wispy sand layers, mottled sediment, gas cracks, and some biological features such as worm tubes. Water drained from upper 20 cm during core storage and sectioning, accounting for the abnormal water content profile.
