Core G1C1 was taken on June 21, 1996 in 5 meters of water. The core measured 60.6 cm in length, was x-rayed on July 1, 1996 and was subsampled on August 20, 1996 at 0.5 cm intervals down the whole core. Features noted are seen in the x-ray, water content, and texture profiles above and include sand and mud ribbons, wispy deposits, mottled sediment, rocks, and some biological features.
