Core G4C2 was taken on June 21, 1996 in 44 meters of water. The core measured 48 cm in length, was x-rayed on July 2, 1996 and was subsampled on June 17, 1998 at 0.5 cm intervals down the whole core. This core drained during storage and the water content most likely reflectsthe lower limit of the water content. Features noted are seen in the x-ray and water content profiles above and include wispy sand deposits, and some biological features such as shells. No textural analysis is intended for this core.
