Core G5C1 was taken on June 21, 1996 in 20 meters of water. The core measured 44.9-46.3 cm in length, was x-rayed on June 26, 1996 and was subsampled on February 6, 1997 at 0.5 cm intervals down to 40 cm (3 or more cm of sediment were lost from the bottom of the core during sectioning). Features noted are seen in the x-ray, water content, and texture profiles above and include mottled sediment, and some biological features such as worm tubes.
