 Core I2C1 was taken on June 21, 1996 in 37 meters of water. The core measured 46-47 cm in length, was x-rayed on June 26, 1996 and was subsampled on May 2, 1997 at 0.5 cm intervals for the top 3 cm and 1.0 cm intervals for the rest of the core. Features noted are seen in the x-ray, water content, and texture profiles above and include mottled sediment, gas cracks, and biological features such as worm tubes and shells. |
