Core K1C1 was taken on June 21, 1996 in 13 meters of water. The core measured 51 cm in length, was x-rayed on July 1, 1996 and was subsampled on September 12, 1996 at 0.5 cm intervals down the whole core (48-48.5 cm is the lowest dried interval). Features noted are seen in the x-ray, water content, and texture profiles above and include mottled sediment, rocks, and biological features such as worm tubes and shells.
